The police have declared popular Nigerian musician Damini Ogiulu, alias Burna Boy, wanted for his alleged involvement in the robbery attack on his colleague, David Abiye, alias 2Kay.

Burnaboy's manager, was yesterday, paraded alongside Unilag students who were hired to rob Mr 2kay.

Acting Police Commissioner for Lagos state command, Imohimi Edgal, yesterday said that investigations conducted and confessions from some of the suspects arrested showed that Burna Boy contracted them to teach 2Kay a lesson.

2kay was attacked by four armed men inside his room 847, at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island on October 22.

The men were said to have knocked on Mr 2kay's door, disguising themselves as hotel attendants, before they gained entry into the room.

The singer, who was beaten and tied up by the armed men, allegedly lost his Audemais Piquet (AP), automatic gold wristwatch worth $25,000, gold jewellery valued at N1.5million.

Other items stolen include mobile phones, a pair of Adidas shoes, cash and perfumes.

A suicide attack by a teenage boy after early morning prayers at a Mosque has claimed the lives of at least 30 persons in Mubi, Adamawa State.

According to the Adamawa State Police Command, the suicide attack occurred around 5:20am local time, at Kunu Araha, a suburb in Mubi North.

It was allegedly triggered by a yet to be identified teenage boy who set off the suicide vest he was wearing.

Adamawa police spokesman, Othman Abubakar, who confirmed the incident, said more than 30 persons lost their lives in the dawn Mosque attack.

A video of a terrible and unsportsmanlike behaviour by a goalkeeper is currently trending on social media and evoking reactions.

The goalkeeper in question took matters into his hands when one opponent ran circles around him.

In the video, the striker has done well to get past on the defender and only has the keeper to beat.

The keeper tries his best to get the ball from the dribbling striker but the striker pulls off a couple of moves to keep it out of the reach of the keeper but the goalkeeper finally manages to clear the ball off the striker's feet.

What the goalkeeper did next is what has left many in shock. He gets up after clearing the ball out for a corner kick and punches the striker.

While the striker is down, the referee issues the keeper a red card but this only seemed to infuriate him the more as he continued his assault on the striker by kicking him on the floor.

Counting of votes have started in some polling units where elections commenced on schedule in the Anambra governorship poll.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that voting ended at exactly 2p.m, and counting of votes immediately commenced in the polling units where accreditation and voting commenced between 8a.m and 9a.m on Saturday.

Reports indicate that INEC has 4,608 polling units across the 21 local governments areas.

In most polling units located in Orumba, North and South, Aguata, Awka South and Awka North local government areas, counting of votes was still in progress as at 2.30pm.

Also, at Anaku, Anyamelum Local Government Area, the Secretary of APGA, Mr. Tony Ifeanya, described the process as “impressive,” noting that there was apathy in some areas of the local government.

Voting has also ended in Ogbaru, while counting is ongoing in most polling units in Onitsha North and South council areas.

At Umudina-Nteje, Iruama-Nteje, Uruokwe-Enugwu-Ukwu all in Oyi Local Government Area, counting and collation of votes are ongoing.

A mob of angry Muslims burned down a Hindu village in Bangladesh after a rumor spread a local had insulted Prophet Mohammed on Facebook.

One person was killed and at least five more seriously injured after 20,000 Muslims attacked Hindu homes in the village of Thakurbari, in the Rangpur Sadar region of the country, on Friday.

Police fired rubber bullets and tear gas at the crowd after trouble flared when a villager allegedly posted a defamatory status about Prophet Mohammed.

By the time police arrived at the village at least 30 homes had already been burned down while others had been looted and vandalised, according to the Dhaka Tribune.

The crowd was made up of residents from between six and seven neighbouring villages, including Paglapeer, Mominpur and Horialkuthi.

Governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano, on Sunday, took a sly dig at his opponents during the governorship debate organised on Sunday by Channels Television.

Popular Muslim activist, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, was absent from the wedding reception of his daughter, Dr. Jihad Anjorin (nee Akintola) that took place on Saturday.

Akintola said the reason for his absence at the wedding reception was to discourage “lavish spending.”

Governor Nyesom Wike, today, alleged that minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi tried to assassinate him in the state.

The governor's spokesman, Simeon Nwakaudu, said the attack was carried out by operatives of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) and soldiers of the Nigerian army attached to minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

India arrested a teenager Wednesday for allegedly slitting the throat of a seven-year-old schoolmate in hopes the murder would lead to an exam being postponed, federal investigators said.

The 16-year-old is accused of killing his young schoolmate in September at a smart private school near Delhi in an attempt to delay an impending test and parent-teacher meeting.

Police had initially detained a bus conductor over the murder, claiming he killed the boy after the young pupil resisted a sex attack.

But a spokesman for federal investigators said they had credible evidence against the “academically weak teenager, whose motive was to postpone the examination and a forthcoming parent-teacher meeting”.

“He admitted during questioning that he wanted to shut the school to defer the exams and meeting,” Central Bureau of Investigation spokesman R.K. Gaur told AFP.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, would be sent to a juvenile detention centre until his trial for murder, he added.

Yet another scandal has reared its head threatening the President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption campaign and making it look like a joke.

This is after the revelation of a contract scandal in the ministry of defence which has landed a brigadier-general in military court, online site, the cable has revealed.

At the centre of the latest development are Mansur Dan-Ali, a retired brigadier-general and minister of defence, Danjuma Nanfo, the immediate past permanent secretary in the ministry, and LYM Hassan, a brigadier-general and coordinator of peacekeeping.

Hassan is now in detention and facing court-martial.

The cable revealed that the court martial, which began on October 30, 2017, Dan-Ali, Nanfo, and Hassan have disclosed how money was shared from a $1.4 million contract without the job being executed.

The contract was for the relocation and refurbishment of Level 2 Ministry Hospital under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) following a directive from the UN.

A UN Level 2 hospital is a second line or “brigade/sector” level surgical facility for limited specialist ex­pertise and limited surgical ca­pabilities, including life, limb and organ-saving surgeries.

Un­der the UN system, 18 Level 2 hospitals are being operated by troop-/police-contributing countries.

Countries get paid by the UN for the use of their facilities.

Ni­geria’s Level 2 hospital was established to support the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire (UNOCI) in 2008.

The hospital was later relocated to its temporary site in Timbuk­tu in 2013 to support MI­NUSMA.

On Monday, Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for violating his probation, a decision that has not gone down well with many.

The rapper was handed the sentence despite the fact that prosecutors didn't recommend that Meek Mill face any prison time for violating his probation.

Many have suggested that a racist justice system was to blame for Meek's seemingly harsh sentence but the rapper's lawyer believes there could be something more personal at work.

Speaking with the folks at TMZ, Meek's attorney Joe Tacopina claimed the judge, who's dealt with Meek's cases dating back to 2008, has a personal vendetta against the rapper. Tacopina says Meek and the judge are from the same part of Philly and they have mutual acquaintances.

Even more interestingly, Tacopina believes the judge's potentially perceived beef with Meek stems from the rapper's apparent refusal to create a remake of Philly R&B group Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee" and give her a shoutout. A video has surfaced online that shows a young boy, probably an African-American, fighting with his mother in a shopping mall after his mother corrected him over a bad behaviour.

The video, which was shared by a twitter user named Wale Gates, has elicited different responses.

In the video, an unidentified man, behind the camera, saw a young boy taking food off the store shelf and eating it.

The man then corrected him but the boy ignored him. The man went ahead to report to the boy's mother who went to correct the boy.

Everything exploded from there. The boy began speaking rudely to his mother and went on to beat her, removing her wig in the process.

The city of Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, has again been rocked by a twin explosion that sent fear into the heart of residents.

The explosions were heard early on Tuesday, November 7. The Sun reports that the first explosion occurred at 8:30 am while the other blast happened just 15 minutes later.

The report said these explosions are happening about a week after security officers intercepted two bombers with explosives strapped on their bodies while they made for their targets.
