Bsc for short service is 2nd lieutenant and starting basic salary is surely above 100k with many many other benefits and career growth, u people should stop the habits of discouraging people

Out of the 3 branches of the Armed forces, it is only the army that has its soldiers complain about welfare. To attract the best, welfare must be a priority.

Think it twice. I personally know Nairalanders who were soldiers and were killed by Boko Haram. I mean Nairalanders who I know their monikers and used to chat with. One was even an officer in the Army.

If your mother has plenty of children, you can join. For me, I can't join until Yusuf Buhari and Osinbajo's children join the army.

There is absolutely NOTHING Buhari can do about this. I just checked the Exclusive and Concurrent lists in the Constitution and there's no way the FIRS can escape this. VAT was introduced in 1993, it wasn't always with us.

Once it concerns legal matters, the North always loses out. That is why you see Buhari running to the South to pick lawyers for his election petition.

Lagos has previously taken this matter to the State High Court and Court of Appeal, only for the SC to upturn it because it wasn't decided at the Federal High Court. Now, Rivers has taken it to the Federal High Court and the entire North is in disarray.

Lagos state was the first to challenge VAT in court.

It won at high court and appeal court but the Supreme Court knocked out the case on technical grounds that the high court that first decided the case is a state high court instead of federal high court. The merits of the case were never considered by the Supreme Court

Since the Federal High Court has decided this, no wonder its FIRS and the North has been crying.

VAT was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for Sales tax. Let the FIRS forget collecting VAT and let them face Companies Income Tax and other taxes.

Even as tribalistic as Buhari is, he would never allow a Northerner fly his Presidential jet. They look for the best pilots for the South and give him them the position.
