Lol so in one word People using Sterling Bank will be having two Account Number at the Same time....

Abeg aw Sterling bank customer go take know which Faction dem dey like this Wahala too much for this country....

No, Sterling bank remains. It is the conventional banking side of sterling financial holding company while the new aspect as approved by CBN will be Sterling Alternative Finance(SAF). This is a non interest banking , in other word, Islamic banking.

it’s your choice to either duplicate account in the other banks. This is optional and not mandatory.

However, the benefits of non interest banking are enormous.
1. Free account maintenance fee on current account.

2. No interest charges or management fee or any other fee on loan facility availed, Rather, you and your bank shares profit or loss.
Whichever comes. That is why only businesses perceived to be profitable, low risk and legitimate will be financed. Gambling is not allowed.

3.Every principle of the financial institution is guided by Islamic law and tenet . And many more.

Thank You

Why is it so difficult for Emefiele/Buhari to come out publicly and address the nation on this Naira note issue? Why is Emefiele confirming the validity of Old Naira note to an individual? As for me, I will not accept the old notes until this is publicly addressed by either of Emefiele or PMB.

Politics / Re: Which Is The Best HMO In Nigeria? by Tesie2003: 9:49pm On Sep 09, 2021
Dear Friends,

Have used Greenbay, Novo, THT- Liberty Blue, Anchor, and AXA mansard due to different organisations I worked with.
I must confess, AXA Mansard is the best, if you are sick and visit some of the hospitals they have relationship with. You may not want to go home again because of the way you will be taken care of. AXA Mansard has Meal and private room in the hospital as part of their plans for my treatment.

I uses them through my current employer.

They are simply the best for now.

Regards.

Car Talk / Re: How Much Is Mini Bus Suzuki And Location Of Purchase? by Tesie2003: 11:42am On Dec 17, 2020
I will suggest you buy Suzuki, they call it bread head. (Olori Bread). Is the best among all it types. make sure is 4 plugs engine. Is the best because it has strong chassis, absorber, axles and flat springs that enables additional springs for more more weight.

Though, the above specification is difficult to get. But am sure you will never regret it.

I have one that have been using for 4 years, despite loads it carries everyday as required by my business. My driver still prefers the minibus to other vehicles in the company. It doesn't disappoint.

You could get that at N1.2m.

The above specification is always available in Ikare Akoko, Ondo State. I bought mine there. SOLADEX MOTORS.

Thank me later.

Business / Re: Naira Bounces Back, Appreciates To N470/$ In Parallel Market by Tesie2003: 9:17pm On Dec 02, 2020
Your response is for the wise, However, Government has given enough room to our manufacturers to do the needful and improve on activities to make life meaningful to us but the problem remains that the manufacturers are not ready to rebuild the economy. They are only interested in making money and put the masses in mess.

Government stopped importation of maize, farmers increased price and poultry farmers are sovereign. The effect will be experienced by all of us this December. One broiler chicken might cost up to 10,000 during or before the festive season commences.

Government banned importation of rice, local rice prices skyrocketed.

Government imposes high tarrif on importation of used cars, local manufacturer could not seize the opportunity to produce at affordable price for the masses, rather they focused on producing cars that can only be purchased by senators.

I think all of these views are reasons behind Government recent u -turn on some of the policies.

Note:

Don't think rice will be costly this festive season, government will not reason along with local farmers on this. Foreign rice will find it way in and they will be forced to sell below previous prices.

Government have seen that high tarrif on used cars has only enriched the manufacturer and has not impacted positively on the masses. Thus, policies that will Favour importation will be in place.

My advise,

Local manufacturers should always think more about the masses than acquiring more than necessary wealth due to government policies, they should know that policies could be changed any time but masses remain the final destination of their products and services.

Ehiscotch:
This should normally be bad news as a lower dollar to naira exchange rate encourages massive importation thus encouraging consumerism.

But since we want all the borders opened and 1 dollar to one naira; let's embrace importation of everything from pencil to toothpick because no manufacturing sector can compete locally and internationally.

I wish the dollar stays high but local production be ramped up to meet national demand and some products with which we have high comparative advantage (ability to massively supply) should be banned.

Hello, This is not protest nor revolution. What happened was stealing and Edo youth has to correct the negative impression. Does the coca cola belong to Government or Police? They have just succeeded in increasing the number of poor people in Edo state. The owner has to be compensated by the government.

Just In November someone (TechCapon) posted something meaningful and similar here why such could happen.

Please see below reasons for that. Not a big deal.

TechCapon

Have you ever looked up and saw an aircraft flying with long white lines like gas behind it ? I’ve seen it many times and what the aeroplane is doing is called fuel dumping. Now you’ll be wondering why pilots will dump fuel considering the fact that aviation fuel is very expensive and also causes serious pollution to the environment. In this post techcapon be explaining to you why it is necessary for the pilots to dump fuel sometimes.

Now this also includes our local airlines in Nigeria like DANA, AERO etc. Although fuel dumping is more common with airlines that travel long distances and make international flights. Before take-off, the airline do the maths. They calculate how much fuel is needed to the aircraft to complete their journey and they fill the aircraft tanks with enough fuel to make the complete their journey. There are some terms I’ll like to explain in this post for you to understand how it works.

Dry operating weight: This is the weight of the plane without fuel, passengers or luggage.

Payload: This is the weight of the passengers and their luggage

Zero fuel weight: This is the weight of the fuel needed to reach their final destination including reserve.

Dry operating weight + Payload + Zero fuel load = Take-off weight

Take-off weight MUST always be greater than landing weight

The major reason why pilots dump fuel is because the landing weight of the plane exceeds the maximum. Inside the cockpit, pilots have a meter that tells them the weight of the aircraft at all times. For example, Boeing 747 aircrafts have a maximum landing weight of 312000kg.

Anything above that weight will cause the aircraft to suffer serious damage during landing or even crash during landing. Infact, if the maximum take-off weight is above 312000kg, the cockpit will blink red lights and give the pilots warning. The question on your mind right now will be, if the airline calculates how much fuel is needed to arrive their destination, why dump fuel before arriving ? The answer is simple.

How can a christian urge any soul to emulate Muhammed.
He should rather advise all men to repent and be converted. For except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jesus is the Only Way to the Kingdom of God.

Business / Re: How Bank Officials Withdrew My Money Through Swallowed ATM Card by Tesie2003: 7:01pm On Jun 06, 2018
I will advise every Nairalander to read below. Please check ATM properly before use. If u notice any unusual object, please do not use. Skimming device may be inserted by fraudsters to retract ur card and code ur pin. Thank you all.

Criminals 'card-trapping' at ATM machines to get cash
An industry group has seen the style of attack increase during the first six months of this year

Criminals are embracing methods to trap debit and credit cards in ATMs for retrieval later, a move believed to be motivated by better security measures designed to ensure card details are not copied at the machines, according to an industry group.

The so-called "cash trapping" activities surged in 11 European countries for the first six months of this year, according to the European ATM Security Team (EAST), with members including banks, card associations and law enforcement. EAST's survey covers more than 385,000 ATMs in 23 European countries.

The rise in cash trapping contributed to a near doubling of recorded ATM fraud attacks, EAST said. A total of 11,220 incidents were reported through the end of June, compared to 6,649 attacks for the first six months of last year.

Of the attacks this year, some 6,756 were due to cash trapping. While the number of incidents increased, EAST said the type of fraud is still just 0.4% of fraud-related losses, amounting to less that 500,000 ($690,000). EAST said total ATM fraud amounted to 112 million.

Cards can be trapped in ATMs in several ways. One method is to put a device on the machine that uses tape, wire or thread in order to hold a card in. Criminals can then retrieve cards using tweezers. The PIN can be obtained through observation or by putting an overlay device on the keypad that can record PINs.

For the same period, "skimming" attacks -- or ones where the magnetic stripe of a card is copied for encoding on a dummy card -- fell by 33%, to the lowest level in three years, EAST said. Many banks have retrofitted ATMs to make it more difficult to unobtrusively attach devices to the ATM to record the card details. Banks have also added warnings to avoid ATMs that may appear to have been tampered with.

Card trapping may prove less fruitful to criminals than skimming, because the victims immediately loses their cards and are likely to quickly get in touch with their bank.
But if a card is skimmed, bank customers are unaware. If victims fail to check their bank statements, a criminal could repeatedly withdraw money once at day at the card's limit until it is cancelled or the bank's anti-fraud systems determine something is fishy.
