FrancisTony: Carrot Top? NO.

@abs, That the kinda thing you'll love but won't allow ladies like Uj_sizzle to showcase their curve. undecided
Yeah...I meant that nice abs don't make a handsome guy. At least in my opinion. They are nice, but not the deciding factor for me.

alexleo: Park well abeg. You were just a nominal christian who went to church just to fulfill all righteousness. you cant use your type of Christianity to compare with mine. Were you ever GENUINELY BORN AGAIN? If you were, you wouldn't have backslided to the abysmal level of being an atheist because you would have had such a level of experiences with God that nothing will make you believe there is no God.
To be fair...have you ever read aManFromMars' de-conversion story? He was a very devout Christian before. I'm not sure he will ever come back to Christianity. I do believe spirituality still exists in his heart. One day his mind and his heart will reconcile. I'm just not sure what form that reconciliation will take.

Even the strongest of believers can fall. It is not our job to judge. It is our job to make sure they know they are loved no matter what. We don't have to agree with them, but we are required to love one another. Is it not a commandment?

So, if Taye Taiwo show his abs, girls 'll start tripping? undecided
Nice abs are eye candy, but they don't make a handsome man. Have you seen Carrot Top?

@LB. I saw the article about the guy in the mugshot. I couldn't believe some of the responses. I will agree that many women are their own worst enemy. I saw a survey once were some women admitted to voting for presidential candidates because the were handsome. Smh.

Hehe. Just something silly that popped into my head. Can you guess what it's about?

The truth hides behind me.
Illusion is my game.
Some say I am the key to fame.
What you get is not always what you see.
I'm the ultimate fixer.

Poems For ReviewRe: Random Ramblings From The Mind Of Tex by texanomaly(op):
Rush
by Tex

Every time I think of you,
My face lights up for all to see.
It turns a rosy hue,
And there are butterflies in my tummy.

Just your voice sets my thighs all a quiver,
And my mind begins to muddle.
The very thought of you gives me a shiver,
And your kiss melts me into a puddle.

When my phone pings,
It is your face on the screen, I hope.
Suddenly, my heart has wings,
And the world becomes a kaleidoscope.

Such wit and charm
Are enough to turn a girls head.
My heart beats a tattoo of alarm,
But surely there is no harm, I said.

Christianity EtcRe: I've Been A Deep Believer My Whole Life. by texanomaly(f): 4:51am On Jul 02, 2014
InesQor: Sounds like you just described my current worldview. Maybe a difference is that I have experimented with various worldviews before settling back to this one. As I told a friend, I hardly like telling people I am a Christian cos then they get offended at some of the things I believe, or my take on mainstream Christian beliefs. So I'm willing to give up the title and hold on to my offbeat beliefs. Thanks for your response.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Btw...did you ever read one of your posts that someone quoted and realize that you made a grammar error or autocorrect bit you in the bit you in the behind? I corrected it in my post, but it is out there now in a quote. It is very annoying. The English teacher in me just cringes when that happens.

InesQor: I don't think Jesus "became God" or that a "Trinity was built around the three of them".

Rather they are a yardstick against which others can be measured. There is a reason the Jews called God "The Most High".

When measuring things, there has to be a standard set before any other thing. That standard is God, and whether God has other manifestations to MAN is beyond my current religious paygrade (speaking for myself). Maybe someday I'll know for certain.

As at now I've come to believe in the "three" manifestations / roles that I described above. Again I'll use the enterprise analogy.

The Project Manager / MD / CEO, The Direct Supervisor / Team Lead / Head of Department, and The Human Resources Manager. The 3 of them are the partners that started the company and they have equal stakes / shares. That's the Trinity. They are the yardstick for the company. Everyone else is trying to buy into their shares, few shares here and there. Unless they choose to sell it all off, there's no way you can join their league.

Of course it's possible there are other departments within that organization (which means another Team Lead / HOD somewhere). And it's possible there are one or more shadow staff / secret partners / founding members. But as an employee in the company, this is what I currently have to work with until I'm convinced otherwise.
"Worlds without end"...

There are so many things I'd like to say right here, but as you said up there...people get offended, or they want to argue about it. I don't want to argue. I don't want to debate. I just want to do my thing.

Christianity EtcRe: I Daresay, You Don’t Believe In God! by texanomaly(f):
This article made some legitimate points. It could have possibly made many people seriously think. It is well written. It even seems to have sufficiently made an argument that can be taken, at face value, to make sense. The place where it loses all credibility, and frankly it is a shame, is here:

"What has the truth got to do with your feelings? If it's only about your feelings, I'm sorry, Bleep your feelings very much!"

Here the author takes a quite brilliant argument and flushes all credibility down the toilet. The entire premise becomes null and void by these two careless lines. The fair and unbiased "report-like" feel of the article takes on a combative, oppositional, illogical and childish feel. By openly attacking the audience, they immediately go on the offensive and disregard any of the logic the author may have had.

Childish indulgence often silences an otherwise intelligent voice.

Smh...what a shame.
