It all depends. Because for me, I'm pretty much determined to live in an estate type arrangement with central power and utilities and central security. Most estates don't give you the building from scratch option. What does it benefit me to be 'building to taste' yet be queuing up to buy fuel for my generator? ![]() |
'Invention'? Nigerian media sha... |
Here's a link to an actual PS3 emulator that is still in development and still being optimized. This is running on a GTX 970 on Windows 10 / Direct X 12 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtzzQogO0aI It can be seen that there's still significant scope for optimization and fixes to remove visual glitches and improve framerate. This video was uploaded just hours ago. To claim that there's a working, full featured and full speed PS3 emulator is just nonsensical rambling. |
CHESTER48:Unfortunately for you, you cannot play games with just a GPU. You need a motherboard, a CPU, a case, a PSU, RAM, a HDD etc. Those tend to push the prices much higher. We haven't even factored in the cost of the monitor! CHESTER48:Actually, that laptop is specced with a 960m, not a 970m. And $945 is more like 300k in Nigeria here when you convert it at the 289 naira to dollar that most banks are charging. We haven't even factored in tax! You'll also need to add some good bucks for a decent controller CHESTER48:Here's a link to the video since you messed up something as simple as providing a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7JcxKZ0RXA Open it on Youtube...80% of the comments there are saying what should be obvious to anyone with double digits intelligence...it's a FAKE video. You're such an ignorant noob whose only exposure to PC gaming is to buy cheap cracked CDs from otigba and run them on low end devices. If you want to learn, ask humbly and you will be educated ![]() |
Sektion:Unless you're talking about piracy - which is theft - you cannot get PC games for free. At least not any great games. Most PC games these days that you buy legally are sold via digital distribution on platforms like Steam or Origin. No way to swap them at all... If you Want to swap, you have to buy physical discs... Which cost the exact same as games on console. |
CHESTER48:Nothing beats a mouse and Keyboard for certain genres of games (FPS, Sims, strategy) but in other genres like fighting, racing and sports, a controller is preferable. when you also factor in rumble support, it's easy to see why many prefer using controllers CHESTER48:'Better graphics' depends on the PC spec in use. Computers that can churn out graphics better than the PS4 or XB1 are usually much more pricey. Your 'upgradability' point is a joke, when you consider that 'PC gaming' also includes laptop gaming...and laptop GPUs and CPUs aren't upgradeable. Even when you switch over to Desktops, it's a toss up if your motherboard is compatible or your PSU is powerful enough. Thanks to serious optimization tricks devs pull off on console, those little boxes tend to punch above their weight. Of course an upgraded, high end to midrange PC will outperform either of the current gen consoles in graphics. CHESTER48:PC games aren't 'very cheap'. PC games cost the same as PS4 games or Xbox One games on release, unless you find a sale. Even then, you'll have to consider the cost of data. No PC gamer in his right mind would buy one of those cheap chinese 1000 naira pads. You cannot get PC games for 500 naira unless you're talking about piracy. When you talk about cost, you need to factor in the cost of entry. PS4 is $349. A good gaming rig will cost you much more. CHESTER48:No, you cannot run PS3 or PS4 games on your PC. There are attempts at a PS3 emulator on PC, but it's still pretty early and nothing is fully playable yet. PS4 emulation? LOL CHESTER48:You're limited to the resolution of your monitor, which for most people is 1080p, same as most TVs out these days. The vast majority of PS4 games run at 1080p. No idea where you pulled those resolutions you quote from. You may wish to clarify that your point depends on the capability of your gaming PC. A shitty laptop will struggle to run games at 720p. |
...Hmm |
Aren't these type of topics promoting cyber-bullying? I'm sick and tired of these 'fans blast xyz' posts. People are attacking others for their own choices and their own decisions and it makes no sense to continue to validate this type of behaviour by giving them exposure. |
Funny choice of words when you consider the fact that Everyone dies someday. |
Nigerian bloggers sha... |
sinistermind:No. I am not oblivious of the usual methods corrupt Govt officials use in fleecing taxpayers and the nation. I just don't approve of it, unlike you. I know how real estate developers pay villagers orders of magnitude less than what Govt agencies pay. Nigeria is in a mess because people cannot treat their country the way they cherish their personal businesses. |
See village land that they said they paid N13 billion for. The amount of theft in the past administration was stratospheric sha. |
Xbox One Elite Controller for the pros. Brand new, all accessories included + Carrying case. Reason for sale? Decided I won't need it...I'm not that serious of a gamer these days Serious callers only, please Price? 30k UPDATE Sold to a lucky buyer ![]()

Obviously not the 'best price ever' if not you'd put the price here. |
mordsith:How won't you be tired of that war, when all your patrons and role models are being arrested? Nobody cares what a tax-dodger like you thinks |
Sorry OP, but there's more than enough information in your post for a vindictive Govt to find you and sack you. https://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/483/928/fb0.jpg Brave of you to post this, but perhaps foolish |
princeade86:Are we to blame GEJ for a quote of 789 million naira in the budget for 'website update'? |
Firefire:You don't even have to tag anonimi or your regular allies. This budget is a disaster. It is an insult to taxpayers and must be withdrawn immediately. too many crazy sums, too many inflated line items This budget has line items like 1TB USB Hard disk for 1.8 million Naira. HDD that can be bought for 17k at Ikeja computer village! hundreds of millions of Naira for cable linkage! Tens of millions of naira for Personal protective equipment (gloves, coveralls, safety glasses) for the handful of inspectors in the Solid minerals ministry! Obscene amount budgeted for personal vehicles, computers and 'computer software'. What nonsense. Whether you're pro-APC, pro-Buhari, pro-PDP, anti-Buhari, all must rise to condemn the wasteful spending in a budget that is meant to be leaned down for the austerity era we find ourselves. |
AreaFada2:From the OP, it's just one guy and there is no direct correlation between actions she took as a single babe seeking love and how she will behave as a married woman. Every woman has a past. He will need to live with it. PS: 'Short period of quarrel' probably means they broke up temporarily. How was it a crime to date someone else when their relationship broke down? |
AreaFada2:If definition of 'hoe' is a girl who has slept with more than one man before, or dumped a boyfriend for another, then nobody go marry again in Nigeria. All that matters is if they love each other. Simple |
Hmm. You guys of nowadays. No balls Simply do what one Igbo guy in the Uk did when his mother wanted to chase away his dream babe. He was Igbo and he found love with one utterly beautiful Brazilian babe he met in Scotland. This babe loved him so much, she flew to the US from the Uk to meet his aunt to learn how to make egusi, okazi and ogbono soup. Then the mother came to visit , saw the Brazilian babe and privately took the son aside to tell him that he must marry a girl from his tribe and not this Brazil babe. The guy calmly looked at his mother and said "mama, it looks like you don't want to come for my wedding then". The woman thought it was a joke until the guy proposed to his babe and started wedding preps She had to come to accept the babe by fire by force ![]() So simply ask your sister "is it that you will not come to my wedding or not "? Forget all this old fashioned BS...your choice of a wife is 99% your decision. |
2el:Let's be frank. This has nothing to do with the proper application of the NYSC scheme. According to regulations, you're not supposed to travel once you're posted to your place of assignment. Multiple people lost their lives, including children. Please stop reducing this into a 'corper' issue. This accident was caused by a sleeping driver , not by the FG or by NYSC |
gentle007:'Adelaide' is the name of one of the biggest cities in Australia. You have no idea if that is what his moniker is referencing. Find out first, before assuming. I can't count the number of times people have looked at my moniker and insisted I lived in Texas ![]() |
anonimi:It is only speculation that Amaechi et al brought dollars to the primaries. It is a matter of FACT that Metuh changed money he claims he got from GEJ for PDP into $1 million. Or that Dasuki sent dollars to Bode George, as Mr George independently confessed. Yet you support the people that have confessed to propagating and disseminating dollars in large bundles for political patronage! Na your 'next level democracy' be dis? |
lofty900:It's like I know my rights. Agukagu:I would have covered all bills easily. I have kids myself. You think I would have stood idly by while a baby died slowly? |
vivianblog3:You're also in violation of the nairaland rule against registering multiple usernames after being banned I think it's time to petition Seun to auto blacklist your blog URL so you don't get any traffic from Nairaland. |
The irony of this all is that in the next few months, wailers and PDP apologists will be defending GEJ by claiming "He was clueless" ![]() |
lofty900:I blame them. And I blame you for supporting such travesty. Why the heck will people not gather the liver to do the right thing? And knowing Nigerians, I bet the crowd of cowards that stood by while the baby was dying were the ones even warning others to do nothing. I would have put aside all i had to do for the day to ensure I got her to a hospital. |
engrkenny:Like I said, I see nothing wrong with this We need to raise money somehow. |
I see nothing wrong with this. For most people making these transactions, N50 is relatively negligible. The poor masses aren't typically transferring money via bank transfer. People complaining now are the same ones that keep calling the FG to increase taxes on high income earners. |
tensazangetsu:Then there's something wrong with your setup. A 960 should easily be hitting 1080p at high settings. |
This spiteful, mischievous and tribalistic blogger wannabe is back again to stoke flames here. I guess the idea is to gather enough material for a "Nairalanders condemn Buhari" post on her blog. Easiest way to deal with the likes of her is to simply not visit her blog. Don't give her anymore page clicks. |
