Politics › Re: Now, If Buhari Had'nt Won This Election All You Would Have Been Hearing Would Ha by texazzpete(m): 10:16am On Mar 02, 2016
Yes

We won;t have heard about Dasuki...until he steps up to receive his GCFR medal.

We would have been hailing Dokpesi

We would have been praising GEJ for a university build on a N13bn land that should have cost N300mn instead

We would have been stuck with Metuh

Abba Moro would have become a hero

All those oil companies would have continued lifting oil without paying a cent to Nigeria.

Tompolo and his fellow ex-militants would have continued making billions of naira monthly

Thanks, but no thanks!

Nsonaso:
Those companies you mentioned are loosing it because their devices are very expensive and not affordable to a common man, because there are greedy. And Android having different varieties of devices and manufacturers gave it users a lot options to choose from.
Don't be ignorant. Why is the iPhone selling so well, if it's all about 'affordability to the common man'?

All the companies that are selling very well in China are either doing it at low margins like Xiaomi or have midrange hardware.

Massive companies like Samsung need the high margin sales from flagships to make profits that allow innovation.

Nsonaso:
And if Nokia should have embrace Android instead of Windows they wouldn't have made that statement today, there would have be Xiaomi or Samsung today cos their Goodwill will always protect them. Note that those days when Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson were manufacturing Symbian phones Nokia still lead the market share. Because they're innovative, there are always ahead of every other competitors
The Xiaomi model is untenable for most western companies.

Nsonaso:
Microsoft is never an alternative to Android then because Microsoft is already dead and abandoned in the mortuary by Sony Ericsson and HTC who has tested it and discovered it's a plague
False information. Windows Phone wasn't a success then, but at least it wasn't 'dead and abandoned'

Nsonaso:
but Nokia failed to see it that way and accepted Microsoft offer because there are money conscious.
There is no publicly traded company in this world that is not 'money conscious'

Android ke

Sony is losing money with Android

Samsung's sales are falling

HTC is nearly bankrupt with Android

LG is struggling with phone sales.

By the time Nokia made the deal with MS, Nokia was already struggling to sell their Series 60 phones. Microsoft promised a lot of cash injection and a pledge to Nokia to allow them make a lot of changes. It was a better deal than what Google was offering.

Yes, Microsoft messed up with Windows Phone, but at the time Nokia made the decision, WP was still a viable alternative with a decent future ahead of it.

The OP is ignorant.

Ghastly accident yet no mark or bruising around his face or upper body.

Article took pains to mention all the 'big names' that came visiting.

In this case, I's different. It is also different when you're having kids go into a laboratory for practicals. In that instance, they are conscious.

This one was a PTA meeting, for PARENTS AND TEACHERS. This very likely means they made arrangements for adults.
Sometimes it seems heartless when banks say "Cars are parked at owners risk" but it's a simple truth. Any kid in a PTA meeting is not the responsibility of the teachers, But the parent he/she came with.
The fact that you think you have a valid point just shows how little thought you put in your arguments.

Yes, the mother REALLY should have kept a more watchful eye on her kid. But keeping dangerous substances out where kids can reach it is negligence on the part of the school.

Let me put it this way. If this happened in a Western country and the parents sued, 100 times out of 100, the courts WILL punish the school for this.

Do elections tomorrow and I will still vote out the ex president.

If anyone feels the need to apologize and bring back dasuki, the thieving service chiefs, the era when money for weapons was eaten up and when multi billion dollar oil deals were allocated to newly registered companies with zero track record, that's their problem. Every lunatic is allowed to say and do irrational things as long as they are posing no danger to themselves or others.

Sane taxpayers celebrate the day gej was booted out.

Politics › Re: ABA 'MASS GRAVE': We're Still Investigating - Amnesty International by texazzpete(m): 7:46pm On Feb 25, 2016
I support freedom of assembly and expression, as should any reasonable person.

I do not support the hounding of Muslims, blocking of federal roads and intimidation of traders into closing shops to join protests they may not believe in.

I do not suppose freedom of expression fully covers chanting war songs and carrying treasonous placards.

More importantly, I have always condemned police and armed forced brutality, and this is no exception. Even if arrests may be justified in some situations, the use of deadly force on unarmed people is deplorable.

My point should have been obvious to anyone who doesn't suffer from comprehension issues.

This thread claims El Rufai 'said' something. It's clear from the screenshots that it was just a retweet.

On his Twitter bio, he says "retweets =/= endorsement". Technically, he can argue that he does not share that viewpoint.

Putting aside whatever political bias you may have, what I have said is logical and objective.

I'm a nice guy, so I'll tell you what the other people are being Too diplomatic to tell you.

You're going to get nothing from this. The Lebanese guy has enough cash to bribe the policemen, and within days you'll probably find yourself facing accusation of rowdy behavior and destruction of company property. Your word against his. Your pockets against his.

Add to that, your job is as good as gone.

You should have retaliated that slap and knocked out one of his front teeth to leave him with a life-long lesson on tolerance and respect for people. You'd still have been fired, but you'd get some form of justice after all.

You'll know when the tide turns when the MD stops begging and the police start frowning at you.

Why is Fayose so determined to air his ignorance in public?
