lalasticlala: “Most of these customers registered with these roadside vendors. It’s not the fault of MTN, it is the fault of subscribers and now, they have only ended up putting us on an the edge.
“They buy a SIM card and instead of proceeding to the MTN office close by, they stop along the road to do shard-sharp registration.
“And you know, most of these vendors are not from MTN really. A guy can just wake up one day, gets a laptop, an MTN umbrella, maybe an apron and set up his office at a corner and claim to be an MTN petty official. This is wrong. I’m sure these are why we have such issues of unregistered SIMs,” she told DAILY POST God will punish this MTN customer care lady for this bare faced lie she told without the fear of the lord! Most of the people affected have already registered before in accredited MTN centres...only for MTN to really mess things up. Rubbish. |

Politics › Re: Militants Give Condition To Stop Bombings In N’delta by texazzpete(m): 8:04am On Jan 19, 2016 |
elixirnigeria: Top militant leaders, who have been causing havoc in the Niger Delta and major oil depots in the South-West, have laid out conditions under which they would stop the renewed bombing of oil installations and embrace peace. According to reports, the militants said they would only drop their arms when the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, meets and negotiates with them. The militants issued the position after a secret meeting involving their leaders from the Niger Delta and their counterparts in Alepo, Agric, Epe, Ikorodu, Itoki and Igbokoda areas of Lagos. One of the top leaders, who gave his name as General Levi, said that they would not want to back down until the Petroleum Minister meets them and secures amnesty for their members to avoid being persecuted by security agencies. The militant leaders also said after meeting with the minister, they would thereafter take over the responsibility of tracking and exposing those bent on causing further destruction to all facilities and meting our appropriate punishment to them. They said they had been pleading for amnesty since the days of the President Jonathan’s administration but nobody took them into consideration and were ready to work with the new administration to bring about an end to oil bunkering and pipeline vandalisation in the Niger Delta region and the South-West. Levi said: “We are ready to drop our arms and denounce hostility with the government on the condition that the Minister of Petroleum will meet with us and hear our own side of the story. We are not against the government but we have genuine issues yet to be addressed by successive administrations in this country. “We are ready to commence discussion and denounce association with this present situation. From now henceforth, we are ready to block any channel for anyone not to go through to bomb oil pipelines.” The bombing of oil installations in the Niger Delta commenced last week as militants blew up major oil and gas pipelines in the area. https://www.today.ng/news/national/68117/militants-give-condition-to-stop-bombings-in-ndelta Sometimes, one wonders if the Chinese approach would have been better for us. In that case, these folks would all be rounded up and shot for crimes against the state. |

krendo: The People's democratic party must for all intents and purposes remain democratic
One of the fundamentals of democracy is that we are all innocent until proven guilty by a competent law court.
Buhari is also alleged to have received SUVs from Dasuki, he has not stepped down from office. Lets be careful here
The PDP must at this stage stick together in the face of tyranny and dictatorship from APC.
While Metuh remains in illegal incarceration, this is the time for other PDP members to rise and operate as an institution by providing a very vibrant opposition and critique of APC misguided governance.
Metuh should be allowed to have his day in Court. Metuh should however have assistants who should carry on with his duties in his absence.
If Metuh however does choose to resign then this decision should be Metuh's decision alone and not from party pressure that appears to have been instigated by the APC Government and a tyrannical Presidency. Sorry, Mr Wailer. No sane person gives any credence to the lackluster attempts to tar Buhari for receiving his statutory SUVs. And for your knowledge, Olisah metuh's detention is not illegal in any way. He has been remanded in jail by a judge. Keep wailing until 2019. |

Gaming › Re: Between An Alienware 17 And A Ps4 Which Is Preferable To Buy by texazzpete(m): 7:09pm On Jan 14, 2016 |
Do not listen to the noobs telling you to buy the Alienware 17. It's the worse of the two deals. I assume you're talking about the 2015 model.
The base model Alienware 17r3 has a 970M GPU, sells for $1499. It will NOT work with any of the Virtual Reality headsets coming out and it's still a mobile GPU anyway (albeit with better visuals than the PS4)
Keep that money, get a $349 PS4 (which will come bundled with a game), use $1000 to pick up a more superior gaming desktop (look for a build with a least a 970 for VR compatibility) and pony up a little extra cash for a decent monitor. Best of both worlds.
PC gaming in Nigeria is still largely at the casual stage. Most of the online multiplayer crowd is on PS4, there are loads of games available on that platform with excellent visuals and PSVR is coming out in the next few months anyway.
If you want PC gaming, go the whole hog instead of shortchanging yourself with a weaker, clunky gaming laptop. |
