Lol Wailers and their feeble grasp of economics. The only reason we are struggling now is because when oil revenue was at an all time high under GEJ, the clueless one wasted it!
Now oil revenue has tanked, we are beginning to feel the austerity Okonjo Iweala told us was coming as far back as Q3 last year.
This is why when anyone says rubbish about GEJ being their hero, you just know that their IQ is severely stunted. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Most Youths Give God Peanuts? by texazzpete(m): 1:23pm On Nov 08, 2015 |
CrazyMan: Good morning and happy sunday to you all.
I'm writing this piece to notify most christian youths of their giving attitude towards God. I remember last sunday when I went to church, when it was time for offering, the girl sitting close to me just removed N20 (yes you heard me right TWENTY NAIRA!) From her purse, inserted it into the envelope and dropped it in the offering basket.
Looking at this lady, her sophisticated dressing, her phone, the kind of perfume oozing out from her, then dropping N20 to her creator.
To me I saw that as an insult to God. It would have been better if she didn't give any offering at all than embarrassing God.
If you love someone and want to appreciate him/her, even if you lack the funds to do so at the moment, you'll still go beyond your limits to prove to that person that you really love him/her regardless of what it'll cost you.
Likewise God. If we say we love him (God), then we should prove it by the kind of offerings we give to him.
If you have a boss you want to appreciate for a promotion he gave to you, would you give him a gift of N20 or N50?
Or you're a final year student whom your HOD just waived a course for so you'll graduate with your mates, would you buy him a gift of N20?
You'll end up provoking him and make him regret offering you that help rather than being commended for the gift.
In 2Samuel 24:24 David said.
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
So if a whole king like david refused to take a land offered free of charge by a law abiding citizen. How much more we who battle with foundational principalities and powers on daily basics, and still come out victorious. Thanks to the power in the name and blood of Jesus.
I want to charge us today that as we go to our various churches, we should appreciate God, if if we have nothing to thank him for, our being alive should be a testimony of his love towards us. So double your offerings by giving him something that cost you much and I'm sure that he in return would bless you abundantly.
Happy sunday to you all. What a miserable soul you are! If you really were as Christ-like as you claim, you would know the Bible strongly warns against judging others. Yet there you are, judging and condemning a lady for the amount she dropped just going by her clothes. You think everyone who drives a nice car and wears decent clothes must be financially buoyant all the time? Besides, if you want to give to God, go and help out at a nearby soup kitchen or give to an orphanage near you. That is what the Bible recommends for giving to God. But you pastor worshippers will never learn! |

APC lead government can't stop bastardizing the Nigerian Judiciary..Its such a shame dat d tribunal is faulting Pdp's Primaries as basis 4 its decision to annual Ishiaku's election as Taraba Governor and declared Alhassan from APC a winner...If a party's primaries had some irregularities, why not declare d real winner of Pdp primaries as Governor like we Witnessed in River State which brought about Amaechi in place of Omehia.... I really weep 4 dis country In rivers state, primaries held but the genuine winner was sidelined in favor of someone else. That way, the court ruling kicking out omehia defaulted to Amaechi as the authentic winner In this case, it's now clear there were no legal primaries at all to satisfy the constitutional conditions. |

Your biggest miscalculation was running with crude oil sales alone as 75% of our income. Crude oil sales makes up more than 70+% of our exports. It doesn't make up that percentage of our earnings. Flets: This government should be reminded that elections are over. Enough of these noises as reality have set in already.
Lets do some simple mathematics. Nigeria's total crude production currently hovers at 2M barrel per day, but I will assume 2.5M barrel for sake of optimism Crude oil sells at slightly above $40/ barrel but I will assume $45/ barrel Most JV agreements with Oil corporations stands at an average of 60% for Nigerian govt. Cost of production of oil for most companies stand at almost 50% but I will assume 30% (optimist case) and then 70% profit Only about 52% of total earnings goes to the FG, the remaining goes to state allocations and host state derivation Assuming an exchange rate 200 naira per dollar and 365 days a year
Federal Government can make approximately 1.8 trillion naira from crude sales for 2016 optimally. Details below so 2.5Million x $45 x 60% x 70% x 52% x 200 x 365 = 1.8 Trillion Naira
Historically, crude has formed about 70% of our budgets.... following same logic, total budget can only be 2.6 trillion Naira (1.8Trillion/ 70%)
Even if we increase taxes, collapse all tax and duty exemptions and without any diversification efforts by the current government, we will be lucky to add another 1trillion the 2.6 trillion to make it a maximum of 3.6 trillion.
So realistically speaking, 8 trillion FG budget is impossible for 2016. Propagandically speaking, APC govt have said it and they believe their zombies will believe it.
In addition, APC FG has claimed that 2016 budget will be developed through zero budget based budgeting. Now without ministers who are supposed to draw up the budget components within their ministries ..... how exactly did Osibanjo come up with 8 trillion when zero based budget was the agreed method?
And for those quoting revenues from Gases- NLNG; Inflow from Royalties (Oil and Gas and other ones); Non- Oil revenues; Custom Duties; Fines and Penalties; Licenses etc...... You need to understand that these are not new revenue sources, they have always been there and only contribute about 30% of the budget while crude sales provides the rest. Y'all need to learn, crude earnings - 70%; non-crude earnings - 30%. As such, estimated budget of 2.6 trillion had that all included if non-crude contribution remains at 30%. Your calculations are laughably wrong. But even without going into a detailed rebuttal of your figures, if you claim earnings are at a cap of 3.6tn, how do you account for the budget of 4.4trn for 2015? As for ministers, you talk like if there are no permanent secretaries in the ministries to do most of the legwork. Either way, wait for the first draft of the budget to show up before you start babbling. |

madmoney: General Muhammadu Buhari said he had only one million Naira in his account before he became president and 150 cows to his name and you jumped, clapped and said, “Yes, that is a man with integrity. He is dirt poor.”
Shortly after the elections and without declaring his assets publicly you realised that Buhari has N30 million in his UBA personal account and owns a palatial home in Abuja worth over N2 billion. You said, “It is okay, Buhari is a man of integrity. He can own a house anywhere. He is not as rich as IBB, Abdulsalam, or Danjuma.” Instead of you to call him out for what he is, a man of questionable character.
He said he borrowed N27 million to buy his nomination form to run for president on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and you clapped for him that he is so poor he had to borrow money and no president had ever been so poor.
A few weeks later, the wife of a “poor” general, makes a donation of N130 million to internally displaced persons in Adamawa. Because her name is Aisha Buhari, some people raise eye brows and ask, if she had N130 million to give away to the real poor people, why couldn’t she give her husband a paltry N27 million to buy his form. You said, “Oh! She is from a very wealthy family, the family of Nuhu Ribadu who also is an acclaimed “poor man” with cows to his name.” Without probing deeper, you swallowed the story of Aisha Buhari’s “wealthy family” hook, line and sinker.
Buhari said he owns nothing abroad, but yet his wife lives at Mayfair in London. Mayfair is one of the most expensive and exclusive neighbourhoods the world. So you really believed the lie that Buhari’s family, would live in a council home in UK? I repeatedly told you that Buhari owns the house in Mayfair where his Aisha Buhari stays, instead of doing research or at least some cognitive reasoning, you decided to call me names… Oh, never mind.
While Buhari was petroleum minister, N2.8 billion (valued at N645 billion in today’s money) grew wings and flew away from the NNPC account in London. Buhari claims he knows nothing about it. You decided he was innocent until proven guilty, afterall, he has sold you the dummy that he is Mr. Integrity. Yet you feel comfortable hounding Diezani Alison-Madueke for money that IS NOT MISSING of which a Senate committee investigated and cleared her of any wrongdoing from allegations fabricated by Buhari’s brother Sanusi the Emir of Kano. Buhari – innocent until proven guilty though money got missing under his watch; but Alison-Madueke – guilty even if proven innocent on money that is not missing.
Buhari said he would bring back the Chibok girls within 30 days of assuming of office, it is going to six months now instead of you demanding for the return of the girls you said you want to give him time. Okay, Buhari, please take your time.
He promised to wipe out his misguided brothers Boko Haram within 100 days in office because it would be a walk in the park for him as an ex-military ruler. You believed him and what has happened since? Over two thousand innocent Nigerians have been slaughtered by his misguided brothers under his watch. The deadliest reign of the Islamist terrorist group since they began their Jihadist campaign in 2009. Yet, instead of asking Buhari questions, you engage in an equally blood-stained conspiracy of silence.
Buhari claimed Jonathan left an empty treasury. But in six months or zero action on the economy and with foreign investors fleeing Nigeria, and with no cabinet… Nigeria is still in one piece. Please where does he get the money to preserve the economy? Instead of asking Buhari these questions and asking if he has been paid his salary and allowances in those six months you are busy passing the blame to a man who has left office.
Buhari has been jetting around the world disgracing Nigeria and Nigerians in the failed quest to be seen as a corruption fighter. He is running Nigeria down and making gaffes at every point. What do you do? Instead of holding him to account, you excuse him and point to non-existent gaffes of a Ph.D. holder president whom you love to hate. At this point, I have to say you are an idiot.
Buhari, is busy fighting the mantra “corruption” and the economy is grounding to a halt, you are losing your jobs and investments, instead of you to tell him that he can fight corruption and still keep the economy rolling you make dumb excuses for him and say he needs time to “fight corruption properly”. What does properly mean? You probably can’t say. But you give him a pass as Nigerian groan under the weight of a failed economy caused by a frozen-in1984 president.
Instead of reminding Buhari of his lack of an educational qualification for the job and why he should swiftly put up a team that does have the paper certification, you instead celebrate the “return of power to the North”. You forget to ask him how he is going to sustain the power he has. Instead, you remember to remind him that he is the messiah of his time.
Have you asked him what is happening to our currency depreciating by the minute? Why naira is not equivalent to a dollar as yet? Have you asked him why Nigerian school children are not fed once a day?
Have you asked him why NYSC members have not received their N50,000 monthly allowance that he promised during the campaigns? Or have you asked him why the current “paltry” sum paid to corps members are being owed under Buhari?
Have the docile “men of the fourth estate” aka the journalists reminded him of their insurance policies? That one is so funny………No, they have not but rather are still carrying on with lies and propaganda.
Have you asked him why petrol is N140 today instead of N40? Idiots you would buy and keep quiet after all your docile man is called Buhari. You still have not seen a reason to go and converge at the freedom park in Lagos and sing “Solidarity forever” Woe betide you all.
Have you asked him why he has not fed the old pensioners like himself as he promised? No, you won’t because you just can’t.
He promised you the best Angels and Saints as ministers but gave you the most rapacious criminals as noisemakers.
Have you asked him why he deceived you in almost six months? No, you have not instead you are busy telling people why he has the right to compensate his fellow thieving class.
He said the country is broke, but Fayose asked him to account for the monthly revenue as the previous government was doing instead of doing just that he is attacking and harassing the man. Does Fayose look like someone he can harass like that? Please, park well, Sir or reverse. But isn’t accounting for our monthly revenues what a nobleman should do? Isn’t that the true meaning of transparency? No, he is not noble nor transparent but he is a fraudster that lacks all forms of decency.
You still do not doubt his integrity as a person instead you are still believing him to be the Daniel that has come to judgment.
You are fools, but Buhari is a congenital liar.
Stand up and say no to #BuhariSpoilingNigeria. All this long drivel, and all for nothing. You will write many more of these o... APC is here to stay for at the next couple of years at the very least. |
