illiad:Unlike Clueless Joe, good leaders are able to multi-task. Do not cling to only one deliverable. Expect 5, at a minimum! |
LOL. Does the OP think Amaechi ever had a major chance of clinching Rivers for the APC? What he has done is to succeed in helping Buhari become President and APC become the ruling party. His power is now at a major high. He will be given a very soft landing at the centre. I'm pretty sure Amaechi would prefer this outcome anyway. OP, why not worry about yourself? Now that the elections are over, how will you sycophants eat? |
death sentence should be passed for people who use acid or hot water to deliberately scar others for life. |
mikeansy:They won because there are more Nigerians out there committed to CHANGE and to improving their country than there are of easily compromised praise-singers like yourself. |
Ask4bigneyo:Only an unmitigated m'oron will be wailing about the folks dead in the post-election violence of 2011 yet be praising the President that allowed THOUSANDS to die under his watch. |
But why is this OP telling such baseless LIES barely 24 hours to when Christians mark the death of Christ for our sins? I thought the end of the Presidential elections would bring an end to this type of sycophancy...it appears some people are determined to wring the last naira from their sponsors. |
calebu:Yes, you've said you hate him. But with all due respect, your 'hatred' is inconsequential. I'm sure all the mosquitoes in my house hate me too, but what do I care? If you have loved ones, abeg for their sake don't let high blood pressure finish you off. You must live long enough to see true #CHANGE |
EUROBOMBER:Your post was reasonable up until this laughable part. No idea who you're trying to fool with this revisionist history, but supporting GEJ was BY FAR the easiest option, and probably seemed like the most likely for success. Up until this moment, no incumbent had lost and Jonathan was making a resurgence after the 6 week postponement. There was no 'bold statement' there, no mass 'pledge of loyalty'. The easier option was voting for GEJ. |
mobuch:Yes, yes, let the pain flow through you. You can join them in Otuoke. |
LOL OP is just a joke. His mother has no leg to stand on here for throwing the first blow. Even worse, the wife is the only one pushing for reconciliation while the MIL remains defiant. And he's still there asking childish questions here. Seek mediation from family, bring in your pastor if need be. But make it clear that any solution that involves your wife leaving is impossible. If your mom no gree, make she Waka. Op is still talking about wife leaving, when in all likelihood his kids will leave with her too. I cannot believe a grown man is here acting confused when your own family's future is at stake. In summary, if mama no gree, wish her good luck in her future endeavours and move on |
stineb1:I probably am nowhere as hardcore as you who have apparently killed your own common sense. |
Preemptive strike to prevent Nigerians from telling the world the results at their polling units? A GMB victory would hopefully restrict the interference of these security agencies in our Politics. |
Gwoza was the headquarters of Boko Haram, a big town of 300,000+ people. Why are we just getting these three pictures? Where are the pictures of the BH HQ? When Soviet troops captured Berlin, they took pictures of triumphant soldiers atop the Reichstag, not random pictures of burnt out trucks and a sparse amount of weaponry. More concrete proof needed, please. |
Atigba:You mean why has he not rescued you from your stoopidity? Don't worry, under GMB night education will be made cheaper and folks like you can now be retrained to have more common sense. Cheers |
shinejackie:There is a LAW. I wish you people will learn to stop airing this inane opinion everytime news like this comes up. The penalty for armed robbers is Death, according to the laws of the land. Simple as that. If you want to steal, don't carry a weapon. |
Lemon12:*must* Why would any well meaning Nigerian be against usage of card readers? |
omolami:This makes absolutely no sense. |
Is this the part where we pretend we don't know politics of the 40s - 60s was strongly influenced by ethnic sentiments? |
Don't you bigots ever get tired? |
bright007:You 'know the value of education' yet you plan to vote for man who sat down doing nothing while ASUU was on strike for 6 months? Or Polytechnics for even longer? you want to vote for the PDP, under whose tenure WAEC candidates' performance has dropped to sickening levels? And you say you 'know the value of Education'? Nah, you cannot be a Uniben Graduate, if not you will not call a Major General who rose to the highest ranks of the Army and who attended multiple overseas courses in prestigious military academies an 'illiterate'. I demand to see your certificate! Not sure why a 'graduate' will not know the meaning of the word 'illiterate'. |
Eluwilussit:Your problem is that your education was faulty from the beginning. And your limited IQ has not helped matters at all. Sanusi was 100% right with all his allegations. Discerning minds can see this. But don't let me stop you from your intolerant, bigoted rant. |
Interviewer: "These towns and villages are being taken back now. Why is it just happening just now"? GEJ: "For Nigeria, since after the civil war, we've not fought any war. We don't manufacture weapons" Is he serious?! We fought several wars in Liberia, Sierra Leone, we sent forces to Darfur. Nigeria has several defense industry companies that manufacture weapons. Interviewer: "I'm asking these tough questions because people died!" GEJ: "of course it bothers me. Whenever people die, it pains me. I feel so pained" Note: GEJ was spotted dancing happily in Abuja the day after a bomber blew up 40+ CHILDREN in a school assembly hall. When children were killed the week before in Pakistan, there was a week of mourning. GEJ did no such thing. Also one must note how he said almost nothing about the Baga massacres...only to commiserate with France ![]() Interviewer: "How was it possible that the giant of Africa did not have tanks, helicopters, weapons to fight off Boko Haram" GEJ: "I can't really say , but information reaching me is that those things were not there. I was not in charge then" Note: GEJ was a MAJOR part of the Government with Yar'Adua when Nigeria fought a creek war against MEND forces, who had undoubted superiority in the waterways. Assault helicopters were thus the most important weapons we could have used against MEND. Even after the amnesty, there were sporadic flareups and threats of violence. It is thus incomprehensible and shameful to not have had input in boosting our helicopter force in the period when he was in the Presidency (2008 - 2010) |
criminalmindz:Bros, Why not allow your master set the precedence by apologizing to the thousands killed by Boko Haram while he fiddled away? Cheers |
My observations 1. The OP is really simple minded and should take better care of his wife 2. There is no compelling proof that the doctor's intervention led to miscarriage. Especially when the OP doesn't even know the name of the injection his wife was being given 3. Lots of Nigerian doctors need a lot of re-orientation to improve communication. |
Many Nigerian Christians are confused. You say a 'Pastor' should not get involved in Politics because 'light should not get involved with darkness'. Does this mean no Christian at all should be in Politics? Do we have different types and levels of Holy SPirit? You say someone becomes 'filled with the Holy Spirit' when he becomes 'Born Again', so is the 'Holy Spirit' in Osibanjo and the one you say is in Jonathan any different? |
anonimi:http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/sss-arrested-boko-haram-members-won-t-face-trial/94471/ The State Security Service (SSS) Monday said it had arrested over 100 suspected members of the Boko Haram sect but they would not be prosecuted – in line with President Goodluck Jonathan’s decision to adopt a political solution to the problem. It is one thing to pursue a political solution with terrorists. But it is not done to let those who have already been arrested for committing crimes - mainly MURDER - to go scot free and be let loose on the unsuspecting populace. It was a GEJ strategy to let confirmed killers loose on the populace. It backfired and many of those freed killers moved on to kill again and again. Nothing you folks claim Buhari said about Boko Haram can be directly traced to the subsequent spillage of blood, unlike what happened in reality with the disastrous 'carrot and stick agenda'. Can we talk about last year? Boko Haram being routed and rolled back in a successful military offensive. Until the GEJ Government declared an ill-advised, ill-timed ceasefire that merely provided Boko Haram enough time to re-equip and re-establish their assault. Bama, Damashak, Gamboru et al...all towns and villages conquered after the 'cease-fire'. Combined death toll from those assaults surpasses 3000 men, women and children killed. Hundreds of thousands of refugees. Because of the 'ceasefire' deception. Those in glass houses should not throw stones. |
anonimi:Jega is not the one to 'guarantee the safety of voters'. The IGP holds that responsibility. We do not pay him his salary to be lazy. He has to ensure lives and properties are protected WHILE ensuring the integrity of the electoral process is fully protected and guaranteed. It should not be a stretch to expect him to reasonably protect people while they wait in orderly fashion for votes to be tallied at the polling unit level. |
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/21/world/africa/nigerian-army-noticeably-absent-in-town-taken-from-boko-haram.html?fb_ref=Default&_r=0 Rather than a display of important regional cooperation in the battle against Boko Haram, the visit instead pointed out some of the confusion and resentment that are creating tension among neighbors. The soldiers from Chad and Niger had succeeded here, but there was not a single Nigerian soldier to be found. The force members were bewildered to find themselves as foreign liberators without any help from the Nigerians. “We fought on the night of the 14th, and the last attack was on the 15th,” Lieutenant Hassan said. As for the Nigerians, “we called them on the 16th” — after the fight for Damasak had ended — “and told them to come; they didn’t believe we were here,” Lieutenant Hassan said. What madness is this? Chad and Nigerien soldiers liberating towns and being expected to garrison them?! I'm even SHOCKED that Damasak was a big town of nearly 200,000 people. And yet the Government that swore an oath to protect them left that town in their hands for NEARLY 5 MONTHS! |
anonimi:Can the IG not do the job we pay him to do? |
Lumpyy:Bully? Me? My friend, I am giving him sterling advice here. Lumpyy:People always find an excuse to allow them live with their weakness. Lumpyy:There is space in my father's house. a large portion of all Nairaland adults have space in their fathers houses too. Is that why he will remain a burden permanently? I fail to understand your point about saving rent money. Are you seriously saying he doesn't contribute to the rent money even while staying with his dad? And he is a man in his late 20's. The standard model is, a father trains his kids up until adulthood (which in the Nigerian context usually means until they graduate from University, complete NYSC and get a job). Why would anyone linger on and on until he is chased out? The father's reaction should tell you how the fellow is now being seen as a parasite. Lumpyy:Atrocious grammar aside, you sound very foolish. Do you know me? I can understand your ire sha. You're probably in a parasitic situation with your parents right now. Your type is the one that still stays in the boys quarters even after marriage. After all, why waste money on rent, eh? Maybe you should even convince the OP to keep running home for breakfast and lunch so he can save money on food. Smh At least, if i'm being laughed at, it will not be by anyone from my family. I was out of the house and paying house rent right after NYSC at 23. ![]() |
Everyday we read about 'men of God' exposing 'prostitutes and possessed people'. Why do we never hear of these people exposing corrupt politicians or people that are robbing Nigeria? |

....not that l condone what he did, because of 10,000 naira, u sentence him to death, then all our politicians from 1979 till date that stole & rob the nation of trillions of Naira via pen, failed contract, stealing money meant for developmental projects, should all be arrested and thrown into bar beach to be eaten by sharks and crocodiles....
