To be fair, if i was a police officer who had just lost his buddy to an armed perpetrator, i'd be pretty ticked off too. |
Dammit! are you clowns aware it's standard operating procedure to handcuff any non-voluntary deportee while on a plane? It's done to citizens of EVERY country. No one wants to take the risk of having someone loose on the plane that's so emotionally distressed. Ignorance is the main driving force behind some of the sillly arguments i've heard in this forum. If you cannot question why the female deportee was struggling, then i don't know what to say to you. |
@2dye4 I don't think the N95 8g has DVB-H capabilities, so you won't just be able to get the 'connections' like that. @iyobs7 Hackers? Lol. |
@tpia Sorry to burst your bubble, but i flew BA myself end of march, when there was NO furore over this incident. It was perhaps the best i've been treated on any plane. Wanna know my worst flying experience? Virgin Nigeria from Lagos to PHC, where the cabin crew snapped at me when i had the audacity to ask for water when he had passed me before. i truly see this whole episode as an indication of how pathetic my fellow Nigerians are. People who ordinarily will NEVER help when they see police whipping their fellow man in Lagos are here waxing lyrical about 'maltreatment' and 'racism'. |
Check this out! Perhaps the sexiest phone out since the iPhone. All this needs is a QWERTY keyboard (probably in a soon-to-be-released variant) and i'm sold.
|
The soldiers that were killed, don't they have families too? Perhaps their folks should sue the communities for some cash too. It's tragic how the innocent victims of the Niger Delta 'struggle' are neglected. A good example is how we've all forgotten the people killed by Ateke's boys on New year eve 2008. |
umm. . .IGN.com says PS3 narrowly had the better graphics in-game. Bottom line: they look practically the same. Any difference is prolly due to the color saturation etc, which can be tweaked from your TV or console. The PS3 version has lower oload limes. The Xbox 360 version has DLC coming up and a better online framework. |
GTA IV now has the highest rating of any game ever! Finally got my copy yesterday from Lagos. opened the pack and just lay down to rest, and ended up dozing thru the night without even playing it! @Echeozo GTA 4 blows away san Andreas hands down. |
vikiviko:Here, lemme run with that for a minute perhaps Nigerians should boycott buying fuel for one month. One thing i know, if Nigerians decide to remain at home and not drive, most filling stations will pack up We are consumers of fuel. Any more unrealistic solutions, Einstein? |
Uche2nna:Is it true that if people were more security conscious there'd be fewer robberies and rapes? Answers to those questions made me take a stand: robbery and rape aren't crimes!! right? |
landis:Do you have to get a certificate before you have gained knowledge? Most of their workers will be Nigerians, just as they had Zimbabwean workers. It's no one's fault if the same workers refuse to apply the knowledge gleaned into commercial farming. it's an attitude thing, i suspect. |
SENATOR JD:Does anyone else see the irony in this? Why do you want a white man? Your fellow black brother not good enough for you? This issue should in no way be construed as a test for patriotism. There are two sides of the coin here, and either side may be right or wrong. It doesn't make you more of a good Nigerian if you side with Omotade or not. Y'all need to stop deceiving yourselves. Wanna know what you can do to be a good Nigerian? 1. pay taxes regularly to Nigeria. 2. Shun corruption and indiscipline 3. Pay utility bills promptly to ensure good service for everyone else. All these add far more value to nigeria than these passionate rants. Afterall, if you're concerned about our image why do y'all fail to contribute meaningfully whenever the issue of 419 and yahoo yahoo comes up? |
Let me lay it down on the line here If you're a Nigerian living in Nigeria, you've probably seen police maltreating Nigerians for no good reason. Now, how many of you have ever intervened? I mean, we all see police parading men in their underwear on camera. How many of you have raised an eyebrow? Self-righteousness and hypocrisy are rife in Nigerians |
@alabiyemi Tell you what Do a video of the PH navigation in action (or at least some screenshots) and i could be interested. |
As a matter of fact, all iPhones in Nigeria display the E icon in place of the GPRS 'G'. it's common on all networks. |
Why incresae tariffs when we're getting terrible electricity supply? I'm not too keen even with government's promise to subsidize the tariffs. We all know how the fuel subsidies have been used by the federal government as an excuse to jack up the price of fuel in the past. |
Blatant:After reading your extremely childish rant, It all becomes clear to me. you ARE a child. Seeing as my youngest sibling (23 years) can easily make a FAR more mature and intelligent argument than you can, i doubt you're as old as you claim to be. But all that is immaterial. Young or old, you've demonstrated you're an idiot. There are lots of problems holding Nigeria back, and to fix them we need all the smart people we can get. You don't qualify. RichyBlacK:Is 75% a fair assessment in this day and age? Don't forget that racial integration has moved forward by leaps and bounds since Malcolm X's time. |
laykay:Don't be dense. Did i accuse you of anything? Anyway, i googled it up and it seems Celtel nigeria placed a $70 million order with Motorola for GSM/EDGE expansion/implementation in Nigeria. http://devicearena.com/2007/11/22/celtel-nigeria-selects-motorola-for-70-million-gsmedge-expansion/ |
@Blatant if you're as old as you insinuate, i'm genuinely sorry for you. This level of idiocy may be managed in a teenager, but at your age. . . Blatant:Sorry, mate. I don't speak yoruba. Whatever message you had is lost on me. My challenge: Show me where i've 'insulted Nigeria' on this forum or remain proven a lying idiot. |
frogie:Don't be dense. There are no viruses as yet on the iPhone or iPod touch. I doubt if there will ever be an appreciable number of malicious code sef. @markenny Put the iPod Touch in recovery mode and restore with the latest firmware. |
And here i thought i was just correcting a wrong statement. |
@all redsun aside, is there no-one who wants this discussion back on topic? |
Redsun, Everytime you open your mouth, something silly comes out. You once were an amusing distraction (as all crazies can be), but your descent into madness is fast becoming tiresome. There's nothing to be learnt from you. It's my sincere hope that you dispose of yourself as neatly and painlessly as possible, lest your damaged genetic code be added to humanity's genetic pool. Funny. I just noticed your location reads 'England'. If you're assailed by racism over there why not return to Nigeria? Useless, hypocritical retard. You will never meet me in Nigeria. You're not worth meeting in any way. Keep your idle threats to yourself. On the internet anyone can be a desktop gangster. redsun:Hopefully when you do come to Nigeria you may spend your time fighting all these things, considering that they are rife in Nigeria. But i'm sure you'll remain in the UK, skulking about alleyways and gnashing your teeth as you see your betters move their country forward. PS: I'm just curious, have you had tertiary education? Your writing's pretty inept. |
@just2nice let me fix that for you Opera is the best browser on Symbian and Windows Mobile based smartphones. the best mobile phone browser in the world is the iPhone's Mobile safari. hands down. |
@N-joy perhaps you mean your words to be insults, but they merely provide comedy value for me ![]() then again, perhaps you've had intimate experiences with 'frogs with leaky buttholes'. You never can tell what some weird people will n-joy (pun intended!) |
Until someone can prove how the 'West' made a once-fertile country to starve or lack of food, stop talking about that already! Did the West stop zimbabwe from importing fertilizer? Or tractors? |
@spoilt, adconline The judge found the cops innocent of criminal intent. i.e the Cops aren't guilty of murder or manslaughter. That was what the trial was all about. The Bell family still has the option of a civil suit and a class action lawsuit against the NYPD. The cops will likely not go unpunished. They'll lose their jobs most likely at the end of the whole stuff, and the NYPD will have to shell out some compensatory cash. As for the number of shots, 50 bullets fired from 4 cops isn't too high a number, considering the cops were using semi-automatics (Browning 9mms). If you think 50 shots are too much to kill 3 people, remember that only on eman in that car died. The cops knew this. I actually believe the cops panicked and shot after the victims' car lurched forward as if it was going to ram the officers. In fact the prosecution doesn't deny this, only saying that the policemen may have been mistaken for carjackers by the three men in the car. The NYPD needs to re-examine the cops they send out on undercover ops next time. |
@hayprof I'm always here for her ![]() |
@hayprof My 2nd phone is a HTC TyTN. It also wipes the floor with your N80 ![]() https://www.mobilegazette.com/images/other/htc-tytn-2.jpg |
Hi as the topic implies, was just given the heads up about this PP. Any knowledgeable person willing to give advice on the virtue of this offer. Also i'd appreciate advice on buying Goldlink Insurance at N3. Thanks |
@Hayprof Please go back to every school you've been to and shoot your English teachers. I clearly said, 'if i had to buy a Nokia', didn't i? So yes, the N95 is a no-brainer for the most capable nokia smartphone however, i have a choice, and i could easily afford any phone i wanted, so i chose the iPhone. Confessions my arse ![]() |
redsun:One more thing. You do realise that 'probably born in america to a single hustling parent, with a very loose foundation in terms of fundamentals' almost accurately describes Tupac Shakur, a man who used music for Social crusade against separate treatment for blacks? So much for your powers of psychoanalysis, Einstein! |
