Considering the fact that

1. KillZone 1 was utter crap

2. Gears of War was an awesome game

3. Nothing muich has been seen of Killzone apart from a trailer

There's nothing to substantiate your claims.

By the way, Xbox 360 outsold PS3 for March. Just thought you'd like to know

LOL
Nigerians are the most dishonest, sermonizing group of people when they get into their sanctimonous, self-righteous moods.
These cops aren't robots. They are human beings, with wives, sons and daughters. They have families they want to go home alive to. So why is it so hard to understand that when a cop thinks he's threatened, he knows he has a split second to nail the attacker before his attacker ensures he's a dead man. It takes only one cop to open fire before the others join in.

For all those who are saying we should put ourselves in the families' shoes, put yourselves in the shoes of the cops. You're outside on a cold night, trailing a group of people to a car which you strongly suspect contains some weapons. You challenge the suspects, and instantly their car lunges at you. Next thing you know, your partner opens fire, and the car still keeps coming, so you join in, desperately firing at the vehicle to kill the perps before they kill YOU. That's a moment of madness, but it's all too human, and it could happen to you too.

The less educated people here are the ones with the knee-jerk reactions. More exposed people know how to envision scenarios to ensure there's fairness to all parties. it's as simple as that.

I gave the example of the guy who was shot by police when he came to his door with a Playstation 3 controller. Why was no fuss made over that?

the real truth coming from this is that racism will never die, not because of racist white trash, but because hate-mongers like Al Sharpton, jesse jackson et al make a big meal of anything that can be milked for spotlight.
lol. I thought things like this only happened in NIGERIA!!!!

shocked
Don't be silly. in Nigeria there would be no trial at all. What happened to those policemen that killed those Igbo men in Abuja?

3 policemen were undercover, staking out a strip club looking for guns and narcotics. They saw the groom-to-be head outside, an argument ensued between friends and one headed for the car. believing the guy was going after a weapon in the vehicle, the policemen followed them to the car and drew their weapons. Tragically, the gu ypanicked and tried to drive off. The police officers thought the guy was trying to run them down and so they started firing.

The reaction i see here on Nairaland is based on ignorance. The Police don't use ageing Mark 4 rifles like Nigerians, usually they use semi-automatics like the Browning 9mm, with a moderate rate of fire. It's easy to fire 14 bullets in seconds, especially when you are convinced that people with hostile intent, with possilby concealed weapons are intent on killing you.

While i feel this incident was tragic, i feel it inderlines one important fact: Black Americans can be racist. I really do not see why Rev. Al Sharpton was involved, or why it has to turn into a HUGE white-on-black issue.

Here's my example. in Dec 2006, a North Carolina White man was killed by Police investigating him for the theft of a Playstation 3. Apparently the cops at the door thought the PS3 controller was a gun and desperately started shooting.
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/12/03/north-carolina-deputy-kills-suspected-ps3-thief-and-his-dog/

Why wasn't this such a big stink? Why must race be dragged into everything?

Even if some of you actively HATE the US, there's no need to abdicate common sense.

Jails CAN rehabilitate criminals, and jail sentences are meant to fulfil that purpose. Even though in most cases that doesn't happen, enough people get rehabilitated to make a blanket condemnation of all of them unjust.

I'm pretty sure none of you lot here are lawyers. If the lawyers aren't complaining, then what's your stress?

finicky:
In Steven Spielberg's La Amistad, there was this scene where some nobles were having a dinner and had slaves or servants attending to them, the intriguing fact about this is that la Amistad was set in the slave era it, depicted some servants dressed in the wig and gown, this has got me thinking a lot about lawyers and this our noble attire, if we really delve into the origins of what we are so proud to put on today, we definitely understand the need for us to wake up from our neocolonist slumber, i mean this ceremonial gowns as the movie depicted where once worn by servants or slaves while attending to and serving their masters,
Brilliant! In that same movie the Slaves were eating with forks, knives and other cutlery. Now you know these are mere tools of slavery, kindly start the movement by refusing to eat with forks. Also shun other slavery related items like dinner tables, etc.

I can't think where you got the idea that i'm a programmer from. naturally, i'll chalk it down to illiteracy on your part. That and rank idiocy.
There's no impact from claiming you work in a 'top' bank. First bank, Zenith, UBA, Access, Oceanic, Bank PHB, IBTC. . . all are on a lofty pedestal. The impact you were probably aiming for is diffused by our knowledge that the bank's 'pedestal' is in no way proportional to your earnings or responsibilities.
Secondly, if you say you are a programmer, or you are a scientist, and all you can say is that the best way to find something is to ask an okada, then I wonder how you think - in that case - noone needs the so called software that you produce - where is it anyway - because there will always be alternatives - buffon -
I don't have to be a scientist, a wizard, a programmer or even a retard like yourself to realize that if i'm a strange city, it's extremely easy to ask the nearest bike rider where the nearest branch of my bank is. It's easy, and accessible to millions of Nigerians who can't afford a symbian smartphone.

'how many people' does not mean 'no-one'. That clear?
Except, of course, it's a prerequisite in your bank that anyone opening an account must have a Symbian Smartphone or even a PDA phone, this stuff remains inaccessible to many of your bank's customers.
Seeing as i've had representatives from every 'top bank' in Nigeria asking me to either purchase shares or open an account with them, i think the pauper tag doesn't fit me. I actually do think you're not my match financially, but what do i know? perhaps your arse-kissing has paid off big time in the past?

Thanks - I noted you said it also works on Symbian phones - HTC, XDAs - etc - not to worry - I work in a top bank, I am speaking to the management to see if this can be offered as a service to the bank's customers - the management particularly likes the idea of putting all their bank branches on the map and using it as searchable points of interests and find my nearest searches, this way, it is easy for users to locate nearest banks and ATMs from where they are located.

Please call me on the number given you when you return to the country. You will do good not to answer the "dogs" - loosers are so easily irritated by someone else's progress and success.
Boys and Girls, take a good look at the post quoted above. That's Arse-kissing done right!!

N-joy, next time you want to brag about something, don't say anything as silly as 'i work in a top bank'. Post consolidation, ALL major banks in Nigeria are pretty healthy. Not to mention that the so-called 'top banks' are usually the most miserly when it comes to pay. We all know people making N70k monthly in UBA.
Speak to the 'top management' all you like. Eventually someone with more sense than you have will realise three important facts make this a silly idea.

1. The easiest way to locate bank branches and ATMs is to simply ask the nearest okada man
2. All these points of interest will be covered when Google maps inevitably maps major nigerian cities
3. how many people will pay for this? is your bank planning to give the map to all customers? Pay for licenses for thousands of Nigerians?

So, how does his butt cheeks taste?

@Poster
Stop being childish. people have the right to ask questions about commercial apps, especially when you word your article in a way that suggests your app is illegal.
Laziness has always been the bane of Nigerian programmers. Upload a video of what your app can do on youtube so people can be convinced. When you can't be arsed to place screenshots of your app in your ad, it says a lot about your commitment to your trade.

Believe me, thats what next generation gaming is all about. Just wait and see shocked
The fact that you included the infamous Killzone screenshot shows you don't really know what you're talking about.

The extra BD space isn't as critical as you may think. Crysis comes on a single DVD, and it looks way better than anything on the PS3.

EDGE magazine just played through the entire MGS4, and while they remark on the game being an excellent ending for the series, they remark that the graphics do not live up entirely to the hype, with reports of often-visible plaion textures. Blu-Ray storage space does not guarantee superb graphics.

Most of the available Blu-Ray space is used for cutscenes anyway. Only unserious gamers are overly influenced by CG.
Phones › 3d Graphics Benchmarks: Iphone Vs N95 Vs P1i Vs Dell Axim X51v by texazzpete(op): 7:12am On Apr 21, 2008
http://www.glbenchmark.com/compare.jsp?benchmark=glpro&showhide=true&D1=Apple%20iPhone&D2=Nokia%20N95%208GB&D3=SonyEricsson%20P1i&D4=Dell%20Axim%20X50v

As the topic implies, OpenGL 3D graphics benchmarks for the aforementioned phones.

N95 and iPhone are closely matched (on paper) where it comes to 3D graphics performance. Expectedly, the two other smartphones (SE p1i, Dell Axim x51v) lag far behind.

Analysis? Mobile gamers using the iPhone or the N95 should have themselves a visual treat. My only concerns are#

1. Lack of physical buttons on the iPhone
2. Reduced graphical fidelity on Ngage games as developers try to make games for the least common denominator: N-series without 3D hardware embedded.
