Get an iPhone. . .break free from the shackles of Nokia |
lungwun:Iphones are listed a 'Unavailable' on the Apple Online store in the US and the UK. Numerous hints have been dropped. Case specifications have been sent to iphone case manufacturers. Jobs will announce the 3G iPhone June 9th. take that to the bank |
Spermdrops:It doens't matter if any Nigerians were killed or not. nigerians were attacked, their properties and businesses were damaged. When the BA matter came up, no one was killed or even physically injured. yet it caused sufficient furore to draw the attention of the president and the NBA. Now we have a situation where Nigerians have been targeted for violence, where Nigerians are open loathed and hated. should we stand aside simply because no one was killed? Or is our inaction stemming from the fact that the perpetrators of the violence were not white/caucasians? |
Any special reason for your aversion to simply writing U.I? 'You.i.V.c' is a mess. |
Upcoming SDK app 3D Earth App for the iPhone! [flash=425,355] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6oqKL2j8eA&hl=en[/flash] |
@logica Yeah, instead of tracking down the new paths, i'm simply editing the proxy.pac from the T-zones hack for 1.1.3 on installer. that's why i figure it's an issue with the IP i'm using. I don't really use a Glo line so it isn't an issue for me, but i've got a friend who works at Glo customer care in PH and they get oodles of requests for GPRS configuration. Wait. . .Wait! So naijafan is a convert now? ![]() |
@Chikeze if you're online with your computer, the iPhone should prompt you for a firmware update. To update manually is a different ball game entirely. i'll post instructions later for the manual stuff. You'll need to update, Jailbreak and unlock once more. |
Proof of donations, please. . . |
@Logica Dunno about you, but i can't wait for June 9th for the Apple WWDC. I'm already looking for a buyer for my 16Gb iPhone when the 3G phone comes out. I'm interested in seeing what Games and Apps will be out on the app store. My prediction is that Apple's gonna release a slew of free apps for the iPhone to tempt people to update to 2.0. i once thought that apple was gonna stop making life difficult for unlockers so as to boost sales, but they've been busy signing exclusive deals with mobvile carriers all over the world, so they'll probably try and make it harder to jailbreak and unlock. |
Appsupport never worked for me because the Nigeria format isn't included in the template. I heard tell that the Appsupport for 1.1.4 worked, but for 1.1.2 - 3, no dice. i'm still in 1.1.3. Little or no improvement in 1.1.4, and i didn't wanna deal with application compatibility issues. Posted a solution for the 1.1.1 Gprs workaround (hate using the word 'hack' in this forum for obvious reasons )https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-110704.0.html |
@RSA You shout 'One Africa', yet you attempt to bolster your apology with the claim that Nigerians were not really the targets of these attacks. Arent people from Mozambique and Zimbabwe your fellow africans too? Thsi was not restricted to hostels as you say. The street violence in Jo'Burg was widespread. Large swathes of the town was engulfed in violence. there's no excuse for this kind of thing. Violence on account of loss of jobs to foreigners is inexcusable. Afterall, it's one of the root causes of racism in the US, with KKK extremists alleging that blacks were taking jobs from whites in the 50s. It's a well-known fact that South Africans in general loathe nigerians. It's a fact i've heard from many reputable Nigerians that have been there and come back. Even careless remarks thrown about in both editions of Big Borther Africa point ot this fact. The brutal exploitation of Nigerians by SA companies is a testament to that fact. So now we've gotten smart. Enough of that african brotherhood bullshit. We hate you fuckers too. |
Ever notice how Nigerians form Neat, orderly lines at Heathrow, then break up into an unruly mob at MMA. I've never been insulted in a BA flight. But i've been yelled at by a Virgin Nigeria crew member before i straightened her out. |
Dragnet, Thanks. |
I think those are the proxy settings. The iPhone doesn't have anywhere to enter the Proxy settings, so what the script does is to force any traffic from a certain IP address to use a proxy and port. This is the script below function FindProxyForURL(url, host) { if (isInNet(myIpAddress(), "172.0.0.0", "255.0.0.0" )return "PROXY 10.100.98.22:3130"; else return "DIRECT"; } What it does is to force all traffic from a certain IP range to use the 10.100.98.22 proxy and the 3130 port. So WIFI isn't affected. I was able to get this to work on 1.1.1 late last year using an IP like 172.x.x.x. hence 172.0.0.0 covers the complete range of IPs at that time. Now i'm not sure what has changed, but it isn't working anymore. I think the port 3130 is still in use (is it?) so i need to re-confirm the IP. I think there are web pages you can browse to that'll indicate what IP addy you're using. |
Can anyone let me know what IP range you get when on Glo GPRS? I need it to troubleshoot the iPhone Glo GPRS proxy workaround. I've been able to get it to work in the past using an IP of the type 172.X.X.X. Is this still the case? Settings i use are APN: glogwap user: wap pasword: wap. All i need is the IP you get when you use these settings. |
lol he's in good hands with Naijafan. besides, i'm still coming to terms with my failure to get the Glo GPRS stuff to work on the iphone. i could do this easily on older firmwares, but i can't seem to get it to work on the 1.1.3/4 @logica I've been able to solve the SMS/caller ID wahala. |
Goddammit! This is the 'Phone' section, and i suspect you know it too. No moderator = Chaos. |
the121biz:I'm sorry. Nowhere on that site is proof of how the service looks like. All we see is crappy photos of a box unimaginatively named 'Satellite TV on PC'. No screenshots of the software, no trial version, nothing! If you need a website to further promote this scheme, at least make it a plausible looking one. Your website is pretty confidence-sapping. |
DOn't worry. We don't need his head on a Silver Platter. A wooden platter will do just fine. |
90% of your argument highlighted a cosmetic change as the solution to Nigeria's problems. No thanks. |
@TayoD Spot on! Most people don't know that Jordan, Egypt and Syria were only interested in land grabbing of their own during the 1948 war. How many Palestinians were settled by Jordan's Arab league? |

@arsenal4eva have you got patience? Wait until june 9th for Apple's WWDC. You'll see stunning apps and games announced there. In the meantime, you can mek do with 3rd party apps and games from installer. Will provide info soon. |
Except it's mechanized farming, this idea is extremely silly. This same government will later come round to lament the poor quality of Nigerian graduates, when they disrupt people's learning processes with menial jobs. From a noble scheme for integration and unity to a cheap source of labour. |
@nazzyon Capital punishment, eh? |
@Sagamite Ah. I haven't gone searching for your position on forced child marriages. But your proud declaration that immorality of that magnitude would never get a foothold in Nigeria leaves no doubt that you've never spared a thought for that particular brand of immorality. As for the assumption concerning my moniker, even if you associated 'texazz' with the state of Texas, it still doesn't mean i LIVE there, does it? For the record, there's a character called Texas Pete in 'Superted'. Someone called me that once and it stuck. Let's bury the hatchet, ok? it's not to so hard to say i'm a supporter of freedom of choice, not necessarily a gay supporter. Irony? nah. it's like you claiming you're an extremely liberal feller ![]() |
Hilarious quote from Petr Cech http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=537003&cc=5739 Cech insists winning silverware is all the matters in the long-term. 'In the end, they will all remember only the years with the trophies,' he said. 'I don't think people will say `I remember the Arsenal squad between 2004 and 2008'. 'They never won anything. So maybe in 10 years' time, no-one will remember.' |
