A friend's experience.

2007... We were undergrads in a University in the South West. Went for lunch in a restaurant when my friend's phone rang. A female voice spoke... 'Hello, this is Cynthia, who am I speaking with?'. My friend replied 'You are the one who called so who do U wanna speak with'. She apologised after which my friend gave her a fake name. She said she is a student of one the Universities in the South-South. My friend asked jokingly, 'So when are we going to meet now?' and was like, 'when do U wanna see me?'. She said she can be around by weekend if he so wishes (all the way frm South-South o). As a dare, he said 'weekend is okay then' and that was it. We all joked about it and forgot.


Two days after, she called again...asking for directions to getting to our place. My friend was getting afraid, but guys boosted his confidence. Friday evening, this lady got into town. We split up into four groups of pairs to be on the lookout, while my friend was calling her from a corner. We eventually saw a WOMAN and a lady drop from a bike. I signalled to my friend to call d number again to see if one of them will pick it. The younger one picked the fone.


I moved closer (it was already getting dark) and what I saw was a facially challenged lady. I am sure she wouldn't be less than 35 as at then. I and some other friends walked past just to be veryy sure. She no try at all, and she don old!

My friend was angry, disappointed and confused abt everything. After a bit of deliberation, my friend called her to apologise. 'Sorry o, I did not knw I was talking to a Mama all this while, I'm so sorry'.

She took a bike and left. That was the last we saw of her.

So he called d girl telling her 2 meet him at a restaurant Captain Cook 2 b precise, na im d girl meet am o, meanwhile i was wiv him @dat tym but i decided 2 go home,so as 2 leave d duo alone. He told me d rest afterwards; when d girl came he asked her 2 order wateva she wanted,tinkin she'ld b shy on a first date(she lukd innocent) naso d girl order 4 fried rice wiv separate plate of meats, 2 big plates of icecream n on bottled water, my guy don dey curse her inwardly.inshort he spent #5,000 plus in d restaurant. As if dt wasnt enough she suggested dey go 2 a recreation spot 2 swim...tinkin he don hammer cuz he myt bleep her dere he agreed. D girl went 4 registered dem as VIPS so dey culd b serviced specially...whilst swimming she didnt allow him touch her,told im she was a virgin. Even cuddlling wasnt allowed talkless of kissing.she only gave im a peck.naso my guy spend #15,580 dat day money wey dem send am make im pay plus fare. D guy cum trek from Alagbaka go okearo tuntun(if u r in ondostate/Akure u will know d distance)...wen he saw me...na stick he use chase me say i b bad friend,say i no tell am say na aristo d girl be. Later wen he calmed down he was almost crying,he begged me 2 lend him money 2 coverup 4 d money he was sent 2 pay initially which i did. Since den my guy don dey wary of girls. We often make of jest of him when he hesitates 2 send airtime 2 a girl cuza d previous incident
