PoliticsRe: What Is INEC Registration Situation In Your Area? by Thane(m): 11:14am On Feb 14, 2018
MrRichy:
I registered mine yesterday in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra state.. shiit was tiring. I was at their office as early as 7:30 am, met other people there too. we waited for close to 6hrs before the INEC officials finally came to work. (I mean federal govt workers who receive salaries came to work by 12pm). finally the registration started and I was able to get mine after much stress and quarrels.
I want to go there and register too. Pls how is the crowd in Nnewi north office there? Can I still go now or should I wait till tomorrow?

CultureMy Childhood Memories by Thane(op): 8:55pm On Feb 10, 2018
was raised in Nkpor Old Rd. , Onitsha,Anambra State, and I am very
proud of my humble beginnings .. A time when everyone treated
each other like family, We went outside to play in the streets,
built dens and climbed trees. We didn't eat fast food ....we ate
Groundnuts, Kulikuli, pokonnoiko, Puff Puff, Buns, akara, agidi
jollof with biscuit bone, chichi sweets, Bazooka and denka gums,
Nasco wafers, cabin and Maria biscuits, and home made food and
we got ice cream from the ice-cream man. Who else had Minaqua sacharrrine drink? We played ten-pe,
swell, hide and seek , in and out, husband and wife, police and
thief and then enjoyed visiting our neighbors, some of us were
privileged to visit the zoo where we saw so many animals and
went for sleep overs at our friends houses and every parent
had the right to discipline you when u are wrong . It was fun.
There was no bottled water , we drank water from the tap (thats
why some kids then still have stained teeth till date.or buy Ice-
water if we had a drink we would share the same bottle of juice
(after giving it a wipe with our mucky sleeves),we drank ginger
ale, savannah, crush, Bramah, Dr Pepper and salute and I
remember that favourite coke with its strong gas. We ate a lot of
mangoes, udara and sugar cane depending on the season. We
had one television only to be switched on at 4pm on weekdays
and 10am on weekends. Voltron,terahawks,turtle ninjas,tales by
moon light were my favourite TV programs. We rode our chopper
bikes if your parents could afford one, and car tires too. We
made cars from empty containers mostly bournvita ,milo, and
peak milk and also cooked nri mkpo mkpo with them, We played in
the rain for hours. There was no such thing as a mobile phone
or any other electronic device . We weren't AFRAID OF ANYTHING
(except maybe the Nurse, the school principal or teachers at
school and our parents ) If someone had a fight, that's what it
was...a fist fight . Kids didn't have guns or knives , we played
cowboys & crooks. School was mandatory, . The days of going to
school in groups just so we can gist. And tales of Kidnappers,
lady koin koin, best bic( which we believed came from mama
iwota looool), bush baby scare everywhere and mom would warn
us not to collect sweet from a stranger if you don't want to turn
into a tuber of yam or a chicken lol. We would NOT disrespect
our elders because we knew we would get an ass whooping, with
the belt, slippers or the koboko invisibly hidden in every corner
of the house. Inter-street football match was superb during our
time and also table soccer, okoso, and ikpo ntu ( a game in
which you had to make a nail stand on the soil) hahahahahaha!
When hand made cards and flowers were appreciated. If you
could not afford one you would simply get a printed card from
someone and change the name to suite you. Writing and receiving
letters was every girls' dream then . When you would play a
cassette rewind and play again just to get the lyric and copy
songs from song books. and finally the traditional dance during
the Christmas season where we go street to street to dance to
raise money lol.. Oohh I miss my childhood days. Re-post if you're
proud that you came from a close knit community and you will
never forget where you came from! . Copy & Paste just change
where you were brought up if you so wish. To all the Onitsha
brought ups i hail una. Even those of us that did some shady and criminal play play, some who stole phones and picked pockets with toy guns and even local 2 kpa guns, It is well with all of us, we will live long
and keep progressing by the grace of God... Greater heights is
our potion.. Amen

You guys don't know the real story that transpired during his tenure. He was just a figure head. The real governor was Chris Una. Uba had wanted to suck Ana!bra dry from both the monthly allocation and the IGR,. So Mbadinuju's crime was to resist Chris Uba. Ngige suffered same fate.

Nigeria has bookshops but very few readers.

Keep three books by Anthony Robbins or Zig Ziglar out in the open. No one will dare touch them. But misplace your #5 and you won't see it 5 mins later.

You'll see a book seller looking all dirty; I'll be like, How can a man be selling knowledge and still be ignorant?

Btw, I received joined a WhatsApp group where e-books by almost all the good authors (Christian and motivational) are being sent for easy download and reading. I intend opening mine, if interested to join my READING CLUB on WhatsApp...Send me your number. Thank you.

Please kindly hearken to the suggestions you have been observing, reducing the cutoff to 40 and reduce the maths questions

@mods, Richiez,Odunharry and Xfire

Since you said that we can make suggestions regarding the competition, I formally appeal that the mathematics questions be reduced or even removed in the "Stage-2". This is because I observed(after taking the Stage 1 test) that the mathematics questions consumed too much time and it probably isn't fair to those who aren't studying or haven't studied(at O'level) maths related sciences.

I appeal that the questions be more general IQ/Aptitude related for Stage-2. Apart from the maths, the test was excellent, though very engaging. I hope you consider my suggestion.

Thank You.
I totally concur and support this, organizers please kindly consider this suggestion and also the other suggestions that the cutoff brought down to 40 . Let the next stage be more of general knowledge and IQ tests. Thanks

[quote author=nextstep post=63903791]Revenue is one thing... profit is another. I don't think you can start making 80k revenues from 13k investment.
People in the house with experience, what do you say?

Me sef, I've been wondering if I should get into the business, considering there's so many of it on the market today, from the packaged ones, to the ones put in plain nylon. What would be my differentiating factor? Better packaging/preservation?

First you need to get a location... let's assume you already have the land or it's your house.
Then you have to buy plantains, lots.
Then you need several fryers (1000 bags cannot be fried in one night), and several large gas tanks.
You need lots of oil, salt/pepper
You need the packages (I'm assuming you're going to buy the bags and print your logo)
You'll need labour, at least 3 for peeling and cutting, and 1 per fryer, and several baggers

Then if you were really lucky, you'll offload 1000 of these every day.
I think the money involved is more like 1.3 mil, not 13k[/quote

]1.3m is going too far bro, unless you want to open a mini factory or sth. Op was just talking abt low startups. And by the way, selling 1000 fresh packets everyday far o. I would anyways rather outsource the product from local fryers and package myself . minimal stress and loss
