Dogalmighty17:Best comment up to that point! |
Man, you share too much information! it would have been better to summarise all those screenshots in words rather than post that many private messages in the public. Three of the things I can deduce are: 1. Your lady is pregnant. 2. Both of you are reckless with words. 3. You don't really like the lady that much; you also stated it. These combined to produce the outcome that you have on your hand. I heard that pregnant women can be temperamental. If that's the case, she might not really mean the threat. You should know by her overall (usual) nature whether she meant that or not, but you probably don't care that much to give attention to that. |
queenfav:Thank you! Even me sef wey never marry no fit spend that kain money on a plate of meal wey no go satisfy me, except I want to give myself a special treat. He probably works in an "expensive" area like Island or Ikeja. Make I even scatter the table, I go use that money chop a full day. I no dey form. ![]() |
Dyfynezz12:The mentality behind the bold section is what I hate! Tell me, did all Yorubas vote him? If you didn't know, many young, educated Yorubas didn't and even argued with older people that wanted to vote for him. I am talking about especially the non-partisan ones with sound reasoning. By the way, I am Yoruba. |
Fabinu:Abeg, where or how did you get this price? See the lowest price I was seeing on AliExpress. PS: Mind you, these prices were even for lower capacity power banks.
|
Based on the price you quoted, I would say the price has reduced but not drastically. My first and last filling was N5,200 for 4 kg back in April - that's N1,300 per kg it seems. But as for this government... ![]() |
Noblejohn32:You shouldn't just be "thinking of"; you should already have started trying to look for other/extra options. With the AI threat, you can't rely solely on these gigs in my opinion. |
EreluRoz:🙄 @mohd001 This may sound unambitious on my part: stay back where you are if you are able to meet your needs comfortably. Also, I think it's possible to work remotely with the skill you have. Rent and fare will take a wicked proportion of your income in Lagos, let alone the stress. People who work on the Island but live on the Mainland have a reason. Some even reside in the inner parts of Ikorodu and have to leave for work as early as 4 a.m. Plus, I think Niger is one of the states where food should be cheaper than in Lagos. Relatively stable power supply is probably the major thing keeping me here. I don't have a job or business in Lagos. |
YourFada2:Nigerians just taya me. Most can't abide by simple instructions. For example, go to some places in Lagos and see how drivers, especially tricycle and commercial motorcycle riders, run the red light freely. The thread title reads "House Clearance Sales," but some have turned it into "All Sales" in their mind. ![]() |
Why married? ![]() |
OP, I thought we're the same when I first saw the thread topic. But I realised it's not 100% so. I also don't call people often, so people mostly don't call me also and some do so mainly when they needed my attention for something. Nothing to worry much about there, I guess. I don't call mainly because most do not reciprocate calls. Plus, I prefer in-person talks/discussions with people I know. I also wonder what we would be talking about if I should be calling a lady friend multiple times every day. ![]() However, I think you need to change your habit of not picking some calls - at least, if they won't be adding problems into your life. It's very very rare for me to not pick people's call. Do so out of courtesy if for no other reason. I also understand the friendship test, even though I think yours are a little extreme. But I don't believe in ghosting people. If some people don't meet your expectations as friends, you can also try to relate with them simply as acquaintances. |
GeneralDae:That's not my work. I mean you didn't vote for me neither was I appointed to any position. ![]() But seriously, those in the position of authority know what do. They are just not ready to do it. For instance, a Middle East country reportedly sent a list of terror sponsors to the Nigerian government years ago. What has come out of that? Yet, insecurity is also a major reason productive activities are not happening near their potential level right now. Nigeria was hugely reliant on agriculture in the past, including for exports. Now, farmers cannot carry out their work with peace of mind. Even me sef for like involve in agriculture, especially crop farming, to an extent even if as a hobby. But the security challenges no fit make me dare am. PS: I just realised that you're more interested in how to receive remittances. I used to sell funds to people online back then. There are several apps that you can receive payment through right now. They help you convert your foreign currency to Naira. |
Ttalk:It's interesting to see that many people liked this opinion. ![]() I still don't understand how a policy of this sort would be hailed while there's still disparity between official and parallel rates, giving room for round-tripping. You would do better fighting the corruption. And what gave you the impression that corrupt people in government and financial institutions won't still corner the foreign currency received and take it to the parallel market again? Imagine getting your USD proceeds converted to Naira at N1513/$ yesterday, only to wake up today and found that the rate was N1565. Have I lost or gained? Mind you, USD would still be needed for some important international transactions. As to the bold, your idea of taxing domiciliary account balances could be very counter productive. That's like saying savings account balances should be taxed! Such a move could discourage people from sending foreign currency to their accounts in Nigeria, unless they have an urgent need or the economy stabilises. I remember years ago when I was making regular, low hundreds of dollars online, a similar policy as this was introduced. My USD earnings were converted at a rate like N100 or more lower than the parallel rate and N50 or more lower than the official sell rate. That meant if a $100 incoming payment got converted to N33,500, I would need N38,500 or more to pay for a $100 transaction online. Needless to say that I stopped receiving money to local accounts. |
Any input on this, please? |
No, I am not talking about the medical aspect but the religious. Some churches recommend having fertility tests before getting married. As a man, this would require masturbating if you don't want to have sex to get the sperm sample. And masturbating is supposed to be wrong, too. So, how exactly is male fertility testing to be done when it is required, recommended, or permitted by a church before marriage? Please your relevant views are required on this. Thanks in anticipation. |
aliyuthayo:Do you have any idea of the best way or place to learn this? |
ednut1:It was similar thinking that partly made me to put off going for a master's degree several years back. Age was another factor. Now, I have yet to know if that would have made a difference. ![]() |
BirtherOfKings:I never got any response, obviously. And I also ended up deciding to not go ahead with the programme. Finance and uncertainty were the deterrents, though. |
sisisioge:Incoming government, you say? ![]() By the way, this is Nigeria. Give a few days and all will be forgotten. But God's justice is real. A man could cheat his fellowmen and get away, but no one can fool God. |
ThaThinka:Evb2000, no comment on this? |
evb2000:Please could you advise on what I can do about a small issue I am currently having? I sold a few puzzle books (less than 20), especially after running ads. The estimated royalty for each sale is less than $1 because these are paperbacks and I wanted to use them to test the waters. But I just found that Amazon sends the royalties separately after receiving $0.8 days ago - I thought they would be accumulated! The entire money was taken by Payoneer as fee (0 credit) because $1 is normally charged for payments received into the account. It looks like future royalties will go the same way. I have contacted Amazon and was made to understand nothing can be done about it. I can't even delete the bank account or use a different payment method! Do you have any tweak or idea I can exploit? The money isn't significant, but I don't just feel happy watching my money being given entirely to a company that knows nothing about it. |
Not surprised. I have always known that love professed to a rich person hardly counts for anything. If they didn't love you when you're poor, where did the love come from when you became rich? ![]() |
byrron:Boss, can I still send a PM request? I wish to know the cost of your KDP training now. Or would you like to share it here? Update: I just noticed your email address up there. Would contact you via that. |
Vikt and joniww, please can I private message you for your opinion on something? Thanks. |
Joniww:Oh! But people used to say that it's safer going through real estate companies than families. Were they wrong? There are stories of families giving people six months to do something on land that they are buying. Otherwise, they risk having the land sold to someone else while another place is allocated to such buyers. |
vikt:Thanks. But the issue is: how does he resell what he hasn't fully taken possession of? Or should he not bother about getting land allocation yet? Please note that building must begin on the land within months of taking possession or receiving an allocation. |
vikt:Thanks for your response, sir! It's great to see someone respond. ![]() As stated in the second and third paragraphs of the quoted message in the original post, the person got the pieces of land with a view to selling about two of them later. He bought the land because he was made to understand that this was a good way of protecting against the loss of savings' value from inflation. But he would later be told that he must be ready to start building within 3-6 months of receiving allocation. He had no plan of building yet from the start because the funds for that were not available. The plan was to resell. What would you advise that he does in this situation, sir? Should he go ahead and get his land allocations at the risk of being re-allocated if he doesn't start building within the stipulated time? Please note that new payment would need to be made for another survey plan if re-allocated. Thanks. |
Could someone please advise on the best thing to do in this situation? Thanks. |
Anyone? |
Hello, everyone! Please someone needs the advice of landowners, investors, or people with experience in real estate on what to do on or with land that he bought. I purchased pieces of land from three different companies mainly for speculative purpose or as a store of value. All three are in other states (not in Lagos). Only development levies are left to be paid for the land and those would only be needed when ready to start building. What would you advise this person, good people? Thanks. Festus30, you need help. Please seek it. I thank God for you that you didn't do what you intended. Under no circumstance should one feel murderous. There's the option of just walking away. |
