My course mate husband also escaped brutal death this morning.
On Sunday when the crisis started, he was trapped in his work place. He couldn't go home until the next day.
When I received a call this morning that crisis has started in town, I called the wife to tell her husband to leave on time before those hoodlums and killers will block roads from Barkin ruwa.

At around 12pm I received a phone call from the wife saying that Olorun lo yomi o (God saved her).
What happened? I asked. Then she explained that her husband was attacked at Amingo junction beside GTbank. His phone was collected and they were about to kill him when one of his customers walked to the scene and told the Hausa boys that they cannot kill him because he is his customer.
That man was the angel that God used to rescue him. He drove him to Kabala West to find safety.
