Car Talk / Need Sensible Advice On Strut Assembly To Buy by theadeola(m): 9:42pm On Jan 24 |
I have a 2008 Honda accord in need of strut assembly change for front and back. I've tried the popular "tokunbo is better than new" saying and it didn't work. Lasted just 2 months and now it's even worse than the one I removed. I want to get good strut assembly, not chinese knockoffs. What brand do you recommend, and who can get them for me (only trusted people, I have no time for scammers). Thank you! cc radautoworks kingreign |

Kevineleven: You didn't "get" me And no, I don't believe they are senseless, like devoid of wisdom. No. Even the Bible says poor men can be wise, but the wisdom will be despised. Now, what I believe and have found to be true most times is that most poor people lack the required mentality to move forward in life. Working hard has NOTHING to do with it. Permit me to quote a Bible verse: the labor of the fool wearies them, for they KNOW NOT how to go into the city. Eccl 10:15. Poor people work hard. That's a fact, even in the Bible. But working hard is not what gets you ahead, especially when you don't have the right knowledge. Many poor people have learned helplessness because of environment and all, and choose not to unlearn it. I say choose because their actions of taking the easy way out in life choices reflect their inner choices. Unlearning is hard, very hard. But it is the only way a poor person will rise. Unlearn bad stuff and put good stuff in. If not, hard work would just be an effort in futility for life. And for empowering people, no rich man just empowers people. They have to prove that they deserve the empowerment. If not, sorry will be their name. Check the story of the happy boys for details. 2 Likes 1 Share |

jelel6: Simple. I believe with all my heart that I am nobody's victim. That I am ABSOLUTELY responsible for how my life turns out. No one else is, not the government and their usual incompetence, not my background and it's peculiar limitations, not the country I live in and the craziness tht abounds, nothing. Just me. If more poor people stopped seeing themselves as victims in their own lives, most of them would literally race out of poverty. |

Kevineleven: This reeks of entitlement. The rich owe the poor NOTHING. The poor are the poor because they are that; poor, in mentality majorly, before even talking about money. So you want a rich person who worked for his money to simply throw it away by giving a senseless poor person, just because he has more than enough? What happened to the poor going through the process to get rich BY THEMSELVES? Or you think the rich just appeared there? And using death to 'threaten' is very funny. Everyone will die, so give poor people money so you will go to heaven, or what? 2 Likes |
Business / Re: Do You Ever Feel Guilty Spending Lavishly Knowing Many Are Poor by theadeola(m): 3:15pm On Jan 09 |
I feel absolutely no guilt. First, I worked for the money. Many of them flat our refuse to work, claiming the money gotten is too small. That tells me they are choosing to remain poor. It may be a choice they don't understand, but it is one they have made. I've been poor before, and I had to make choices that will take me out of it. I had to do jobs I didn't like, infact ones I hated with passion, but I did them because I knew if I didn't, the only other way out is rituals or a life of crime. And that was not an option for me at all. Second, many of them are entitled. They believe they are where they are because of one rich man's fault or something. Not due to their own choices. And I refuse to feel guilty for other people's choices. Third, I help when I can, or when I am led of the Lord to. In the past, I used to help people a bit recklessly. But I realized that many poor people DO NOT deserve ANY help. Yes! Many of them despise you for your own money gotten with your own sweat. They wish you were in their position and they were in yours. Once I realized that, I became wiser with giving people money. Lastly, everyone is where they are for a reason. Knowing this helps me have a clearer head, especially around poor people. It's easy to jump and want to help, but it is wiser to know more details before jumping in. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Car Talk / How Do I Solve This Honda Code by theadeola(m): 12:12am On Oct 01, 2023 |
Hello house. My 2008 Accord has been giving me a particular issue that has defied all the solutions I know. The car has a code P0011, and the error message is this: A Camshaft Postion- Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance Bank 1. I checked online and did some easy fixes; changed the oil and returned it to factory spec (previous owner was using 20W50 and ran fans direct, which I corrected). Then I cleaned the vtc filter and took out the rocker arm solenoid to service it. Nothing changed. I eventually changed the rocker arm solenoid, as it had a code anyway and the change cleared it. I did some more research and arrived at the intake camshaft solenoid. I had mine serviced, and it looked like it had been serviced before. It didn't clear the code. I got a replacement part, and that also didn't clear the code. I am at my wits end, really. I have no rattling sound in the morning at startup, only a rattle at 2000-2500 rpms when driving or when the car is 'raised' at idle. Pls I need ideas on why else to do to fix this problem. |
Car Talk / Re: Why the need to convert car fan to Manuel and remove thermostat by theadeola(m): 8:07pm On Sep 15, 2023 |
Musty4ahmed1: Hmm, maybe, maybe not. It depends on a couple of factors; - is your fan run direct, and is your thermostat still present? - how long have you been using the oil? - do you have to top up oil between oil changes? If yes, how much oil do you use? - how long do you go between oil changes? - do you drive short trips a lot? (I'm guessing this is yes, since you've covered only 2600 km in 5 months) Also, I think your 2600 is miles, not km as the 01 Camry displays distance in miles. |

piehorse: When does this sound happen? Have you scanned the car? |
Car Talk / Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by theadeola(m): 9:00pm On Sep 12, 2023 |
SpeedRacer: First, this is NOT a scanning issue. Also, stop throwing parts at that car and just calm down to study the noise. Now, does it happen ONLY when you turn the steering or whenever the car is in motion? Also, what suspension parts did you replace and are you sure they were truly replaced, like were you there when they were replaced? |
Car Talk / Re: Ac Will Consume Your Fuel. Research Done By Me by theadeola(m): 11:24am On Aug 20, 2023 |
senator2k9: Lol, AC has an impact on fuel consumption o. The load the engine carries is more when AC is on, and this means more work is being done. More work being done means more fuel being used. Depending on how well run your engine is, the impact may be night and day, or may be just a little. But it definitely impacts your fuel consumption. |
