Maturity is the key to a successful marriage. If you’re both mature, love will grow. Also, I live by the maxim: Do on to others as you would be done by. I apply this to all my relationships but especially with my wife. As an example I wouldn’t speak to her rudely since I don’t like to be spoken to that way. In addition let your wife (spouse) be able to express herself no matter what. As for husbands my advice is that you are principled/consistent but your objective should not be about winning an argument or having the last word. When you have a disagreement say what you have to say truthfully but compassionately and leave it at that, it may not appear so, but she will later reflect on what you have said. We also have formal bible study and prayer together at least 3 days a week, and we almost daily discuss informally about bible passages/topics and sometimes we suddenly realize that we have been talking about the Bible for over an hour. These moments are refreshing and very precious to us. |

igboboy3:Although your post reeks of cynicism, it is one of the funniest and realistic posts I've seen on Nairaland. |
uselessgoat:This is not right. |
This is a highly irresponsible thread. It truly baffles how people are arranging match ups online and inciting violence. The truth is that the government over the years has let the agbero menace fester. It is time to put a stop to it. It is unfair that they are allowed to extort money from people who have invested their resources into legitimate businesses. I'm sure that if we put ourselves in the shoes of the traders here this thread will take a turn for the better. |
That will be an absolute disaster. Thankfully he doesn't have the capacity to achieve that goal. |
Absolute nonsense. Why would you post such inflammatory rubbish. Do you derive some perverse satisfaction putting others down? Please stop this infantile nonsense. |
freecocoa:I beg of you, do not say that you are done with religion(Christ). It is commendable that you do not accept dogma( a major problem in the church) but Christ is real and was sent by the true and loving God to reconcile us to him. For many years I did not believe in God and felt nothing but pity for those that did. I'm eternally grateful that I have experienced God's love and pray the same for you. In Jesus' name. |
I'm giddy with excitement. Welcome President Buhari. You have a mandate to serve the nation I'm confident that you will exceed the expectations of most people. God bless you sir |
This appears a rather crude way of recovering stolen funds. The figures are arbitrary. There must be a more strategic method of recovering the funds. This ultimately will involve financial institutions, law enforcement agencies and diplomatic pressure must be applied on our allies who encourage the criminal political elite by granting them residency in their respective countries. I'm confident that General Buhari has the will and clear ideas on how best to recover stolen funds. |
Thanks for the updates guys. |

Mogidi:That's a reasonable response but I will just mention that Diplomats are allowed to give their opinions in their reports(how do I know this?), and it is clear that that is exactly what has happened here. |
Mogidi:Then show us the quotation signs. I'll save you the trouble, there are none. I'm not offended that you have chosen to call me names but I'm sure that you have the ability get your points across without resorting to insults. |
Mogidi:The highlighted part destroys your argument. Are you implying that Tinubu is addressing himself in the 'third person'? You are clutching at straws here. He never said it but it suits your narrative to peddle this nonsense. |
Mogidi:You are being disingenuous here. From what you have posted i can categorically say that Tinubu didn't say what you claim he did. |
Boko Haram existed and was a menace well before President Jonathan assumed office. BabaOneChance: |
Absolutely spot on as per climate change. What worries me though is that the mainstream media in Europe and North America is complicit in this climate change scam and our unthinking leadership in Nigeria has bought this lie hook, line and sinker.quote author=PPAngel post=33094275]A seismic activity on the world's highest peaks is an indication that our earth's crust is really active and heating up! The only answer to why such excess energy is availlable is the fact that the net energy from the sun is exponentially increasing. Currently, a new paper has highlighted decreasing carbon di oxide levels due to increasing solar luminicity. Plants are virtually starving due to break down of CO2 due to higher levels of solar radiation. Climate change due to human activities is a big fat lie. Our sun is heating up and that's the true reason behind global warming. NASA knew along since the 80's that our sun is getting more hotter but they doused it down with climate change b.S As I post this the US govt is pumping chemicals into the atmosphere to increase atmospheric albedo and reduce net energy at the surface. EMPs have continued to increase and every indicator shows our sun is boiling up!
|
Thank you so much sir. You have displayed maturity rarely seen in Nigerian politics. I'm confident that President Buhari will lead by example, equity and wisdom. I pray that the success that you wish him manifests in you own life too. God bless you Sir. taharqa: |
He is only doing what he was paid to do. Not his fault na! I don't think that he is paid. It's more a case of attention seeking. I have met a few like him. Anything to rock the boat is fair game to them. They thrive on controversy and always want to be the centre of attention and they must always have the last word. |
May the Killer Party that has caused millions of death, poverty, unemployment, thievery, retrogression and executive rascality Roast In Pieces This is Comedy Gold. I noticed on another thread that Barcanista had the cheek to criticize individuals that defected from PDP to APC. It takes a man totally incapable of introspection to do this. It appears he loves attention for attentions sake, so he will say anything to be controversial. He almost certainly does not believe 98.26% of what he types or says. |
I don't beleive the story. First of all who is Tolu Adesanya and in what capacity did he speak. Anyone can make up random names to make their report appear credible. Having said that, it is immature, infantile and downright self defeating to attack South African businesses in Nigeria in response to the horrifying events in SA at the moment. These companies employ thousands of Nigerians and are major contributors to Nigeria's GDP. We must not let our emotions overrule our senses. We must act sensible at times like this. What is required is a long term strategy to re establish Nigeria's soft power internationally but as is often said charity begins at home, so our focus now must be to create socio-economic policies that will strengthen local institutions and companies. If we can do this then our citizens who would otherwise have migrated will have confidence in the system/nation and will have little reason to leave. |
I'm unsure what he means when he says PDP is built on "values, tradition and utmost respect for democratic tenets". I must have only imagined 16 is greater than 19, Ekitigate and the farce that was the PDP presidential primaries. Insincere rhetoric from this party gets more nauseating by the day. Metuh strikes me as a man who will try to worm his way to APC but I suspect that he will be "welcomed" without any enthusiasm. |
You are absolutely correct. If their approach in opposition is similar to the style of governance, then I fear for the state of the opposition in Nigeria. Democracy is unbalanced without a strong and credible opposition. PS: Please let us all refrain from call President Jonathan names. While I agree that he ran a shockingly bad government, we can make our points without resorting to insults and name calling. deemdeem: |
Unless I'm mistaken, the write was meant to be about the prospects of a PDP revival but what you have written instead suggests that PDP does not have a strategy to fulfill this as you have spent more time writing about APC than PDP. |
