Why am i asking this last question... Its simply becos most of them are senseless... For instance, look at that expensive idiot called Dike, see how he's been treating people of the opposite sex? Events › Daylight Savings: United State Changes Clock To 1hr Ahead by TheBlessedMAN(op): 7:55pm On Mar 12, 2017
People have been reminded
on Saturday night to set their
clocks one hour ahead when
they went to bed.

The U.S. by 2 a.m. (8 a.m.
Nigerian time) on Sunday,
March 12, turned its clocks
forward by an hour to Daylight
Saving Time, from the Standard
Time.
The News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) reports that the change
usually occurs at the second
Sunday in March.
NAN reports that people were
reminded on Saturday night to
set their clocks one hour ahead
when they went to bed.
Daylight saving time is the
practice of
advancing clocks during
summer months by one hour so
that evening daylight lasts an
hour longer, while sacrificing
normal sunrise times.
The period normally adds one
hour to standard time with the
purpose of making better use
of daylight and conserving
energy so that the sunrise and
sunset are one hour later on the
clock than the day before.
When local standard time is
about to reach 2 a.m. (8 a.m.
Nigerian), Sunday, March 12,
2017, clocks are
turned forward by an hour to 3
a.m. (9 a.m. Nigerian), Sunday,
March 12, 2017, local daylight
time instead.
Sunrise and sunset will be one
hour later on Mar 12, 2017 than
the day before, while there will
be more light in the evening.
In the U.S., this has the effect of
creating more sunlight hours in
the evening during months
when the weather is the
warmest.
Also called Spring Forward
and Summer Time, daylight
saving time ends on Nov. 5,
2017.
When local daylight time is
about to reach 2 a.m. on
Sunday, Nov. 5, clocks are
turned backward by one hour
to 1 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 5, local
standard time instead.
Sunrise and sunset will be
about one hour earlier on Nov.
5, 2017 than the day before,
and there will be more light in
the morning.
Also called Fall Back and Winter
Time, daylight saving time
changes do not necessarily
occur on the same date every
year.
In 2016, it was observed at 2
a.m. on Sunday, March 13, while
it reverted to standard time at 2
a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6.
The transition from standard
time to daylight saving time has
the effect of moving one hour
of daylight from the morning to
the evening.
Similarly, the transition from
daylight saving time to standard
time effectively moves one hour
of daylight from the evening to
the morning.
Daily saving time was formally
introduced in the U.S. in 1918
and most of the country and its
territories currently observe the
time.
However, it is not observed in
Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam,
Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands
and the state of Arizona, with
the exception of the Navajo
Indian Reservation.

Culture › Biafra Has No Future -says France by TheBlessedMAN(op): 12:57pm On Mar 12, 2017
Less than one week after Tukur Buratai, chief of army staff, dealt a blow on agitators of Biafra, the bid to actualise a sovereign state has suffered yet another set back. Buratai had told proponents of separation that they will not achieve their aim in his lifetime . “I want to call on all the agitators for separation and other acts of destabilisation to forget it, not in this era, not in this millennium… I think they have to wait till may be the next three or four millennia for them to do that. That is, may be the next generation of officers and men will allow them at all,” he had said at a programme in Abuja. However, the French government, which threw its weight behind Biafra in the 1967 secession bid, has ruled out any support for the secession of any part of the country, particularly Biafra. Denys Gauer, the country’s ambassador to Nigeria, told The Guardian, that France would not in anyway work with any group agitating for the dismemberment of the nation. “We are working with Nigeria and we are supporting it as the only country. This is absolutely clear and I don’t think there is any kind of future for Biafra. They are part of Nigeria and Nigeria has to remain as the only country,” he reportedly said. Speaking against the backdrop of France’s previous support for Biafra during the civil war, Gauer said Nigeria has evolved since the civil war. Gauer said France is working with Nigeria in its fight against insurgency, and that the fight against Boko Haram has brought the two countries together, more than before. Reacting to the envoy’s comment, Uchenna Madu, Leader of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), said the struggle for Biafra “is real and cannot be stopped by any man created by God”. “We in MASSOB do not believe what he said because that does not represent the position of France. France is a friend of Biafra and even during the Nigeria/Biafra war, they assisted us so much,” the newspaper quoted him as saying. “In this current agitation for Biafra, France has sympathy for us. We advise our people to disregard what he said.”

Politics › We Have To Start Trusting Our Doctors More- Buhari. by TheBlessedMAN(op): 11:00pm On Mar 11, 2017
Buhari advised Nigerians
to desist from self-drug
administration, observing that
it is a common practice in the
country.

President Muhammadu Buhari
has urged Nigerians to have
more trust in Nigerian doctors.
He stated this while speaking
with Vice President Yemi
Osinbajo and other top
government officials at the
Presidential Villa on Friday,
March 10, hours after his arrival
from the United Kingdom.
"We have to trust our doctors
more and trust ourselves more,"
he said.
Buhari also advised the people
not to indulge in self-
medication.
"I think one of our terrible
things is self-drug
administration," he noted,
adding that "I can’t remember
this drug that Nigerians take so
much, very common."
The President, who just
returned from a medical
vacation in London, said British
people do not take drugs
carelessly.
"Over there they only take drugs
when it is absolutely necessary.
They don’t just swallow
everything," he added.

He recalled the technological
advancement in medical
treatment in the UK, saying "I
found out that technology is
going so fast that if you have a
lot of confidence you better
keep it because you need it.
"Blood transfusions, going to
the laboratories, and so on and
so forth, but I am very pleased
that we, when I say we I mean
the government and the people
all over are trying to keep with
technology," he added.
Buhari arrived the country at
exactly 7:41 a.m on Friday after
spending 49 days in London.

6. ‘NO NATION CAN DEVELOP
WITHOUT HOURLY PAY’

Osinbajo has always held the
belief that no nation can
develop without hourly pay.
This is even long before he
turned into a key player in
the nation.
“There is no nation on the
face of the earth, and I stand
to be corrected, that has
been able to develop a first
world economy without
hourly pay; it is not possible.
Time is the measure of
money,” he had said at a
leadership conference in
Lagos.
“If there is no hourly pay, we
can get to work when we
please and decide when we
leave. One of the reasons the
Chinese are so effective is
because of their work
ethics.”
He said it was Ngozi Okonjo-
Iweala, former minister of
finance, who did a study on
Nigeria and China, and found
out that the “average Chinese
worker is six times more
productive than the average
Nigerian worker”.
Nigeria may expect an hourly
plan from the acting
president — if he has his
way.

7.SAM ADEYEMI’S PROPHECY

Osinbajo himself may not
remember this day, but back
in 2011, at the Excellence in
Leadership Conference
organised by Daystar
Christian Centre, Adeyemi
prophesied that Osinbajo and
a number of others at the
conference “will be leading
the nation not too long from
now”.
Adeyemi said: “There are
people here who will lead
this nation out of its current
situation, there are people
here who will lead this nation
to greatness.
“When we aspire for political
power, or when we are in
position of authority, we
would remember those
principles, we would set
those principles as objectives,
and by God’s grace we would
achieve.”
Today, Osinbajo is not just in
power, we can say he is at
the peak of power.

Politics › Lectured@23, Borrowed To Pay Sch Fees [7 Things You Don't Know About Oshinbajo] by TheBlessedMAN(op): 11:34am On Mar 10, 2017
You know him as Acting
President Yemi Osinbajo,
but his parents know him as
Oluyemi Oluleke. And now he is
60 years old, and no longer
the son of a single family
but a father to the millions
of households in Africa’s
largest country.
It is his diamond jubilee, and
like diamonds, Osinbajo has
had his fair share of the heat
of life, which translates raw
carbon to pure, glittering
diamond.

Having followed Osinbajo for
many years, TheCable
presents seven things you
probably never knew about
the professor of law, pastor,
and development expert.

1. BECAME A LECTURER AT 23

We all know Osinbajo as a
professor of law, and its a
no-brainer, he must have
lectured law, but what many
do not know is that he began
to lecture at the tender age of
23.
He taught law at the
University of Lagos. Rilwan
Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, was
one of Osinbajo’s students in
his days at UNILAG.

2.BORROWED TO PAY HIS
SCHOOL
FEES

The one who borrowed can
now pay for thousands
You probably know Osinbajo
studied at the London School
of Economics and Political
Science, but you did not
know he borrowed to pay his
way through.
Speaking on politics and the
responsibility of governance,
at a conference back in 2011,
Osinbajo shared his
experience as a student.
“A few years ago, as a
student in a British University,
I couldn’t pay my fees
because my cheque had not
come from Nigeria. That time,
the CBN used to have a lot of
trouble with remitting funds
and all that, and my fees were
about two months late,” he
had said.
“So I spoke to the university
counsellor, and she said, ‘why
don’t you go to a bank and
ask for money?’ And I
thought, how can I just go to
a bank and ask for money,
when I don’t have any money
at all?
“She said go speak to them,
explain to them that you will
pay back. So, I went up to
the bank, and explained that
I will pay back. I met a lady
across the counter, I didn’t
go into any office, I didn’t
speak to the manager, and
she looked at the ledger and
saw I had no money.
“She said, ‘when are you
expecting your money?’ I said
maybe another five, six
weeks. She said ‘okay’, and
she handed me £600 and I
paid my fees with the £600
and of course, when my
cheque came, I paid it back.”

3. BECAME A PROFESSOR AT 33

In 1994, he became a
professor of law, and four
years later, he was appointed
head of the department of
public law at UNILAG.
But the academic entered the
professorial cadre in 1990,
when he was only 33 years
old.

4. NEVER RODE A NEW CAR TILL
1998

Long before he became vice-
president, Osinbajo told
some members of the
Redeemed Christian Church
of God (RCCG), where he is a a
pastor, that he never rode a
new car for the first 41 years
of his life.
“Until the year 1998, I never
used a brand new car. I
graduated in 1979 by the
way, and I started teaching at
the age of 23,” Osinbajo
revealed.
“I entered the professorial
cadre at 33, I did not use a
brand new car till 1998.
Always tokunbo. Where
would I even find the money?
It was always Tokunbo, but
God preserved me, he saved
me.
“He preserved me that I did
not go and put my hands into
things that I should not.
Today, I get three gifts of
brand new car, every year.
Sometimes, I would have to
say, ‘it’s ok’.”
Now he can as well drive as
many new cars as he wishes
— but he says he will not put
his hands where he should
not.

5. THE GOLDEN PROMISE TO HIS
MOTHER

You also know Buhari-
Osinbajo rode to power on
the promise to bring reforms
to Nigeria, what you perhaps
didn’t know is that Osinbajo
promised his mother that
the government he will be
part of, will reform the power
sector.
Speaking at the Bola Tinubu
colloquium in 2015, Osinbajo
narrated how he went to
break the news to his mother
that he will be running for
vice-president. He said he
expected her to express
reservations, but that she
only offered a prayer, and
said: “You must solve this
NEPA problem.”
The acting president said he
told his mother that
reformation of the sector
would be one of the
priorities of the government,
if they win.
Now, you know why
Osinbajo is so keen on the
power sector — for
Nigerians, and for his mother.

Politics › Oshinbajo Remains Acting President As I Continue My Rest - President Buhari by TheBlessedMAN(op): 11:19am On Mar 10, 2017
President Muhammadu Buhari has asked Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo to continue in acting capacity while he keeps resting.

Buhari returned to the country on Friday morning after a medical vacation in the UK.

Shortly after his arrival, he met with top government officials at the first lady conference room of the presidential villa in Abuja.

Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president; Babagana Monguno, national security adviser; Lawal Daura, director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS) and Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman; were among those who attended the meeting.

Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano state, and Abdulaziz Yari, his Zamfara state counterpart, also attended.

Buhari expressed gratitude to all those who prayed for him during his time in London, and asked for more prayers.

He said he was feeling better, but still needed to rest.

He retired into his residence at the end of the meeting.

President Buhari, first lady, Aisha and one of his grand daughter
Buhari’s wife and one of his grand children
Buhari left the country on January 19, after transmitting a letter to the national assembly that he was going on a 10-day vacation.

He told the lawmakers that he had handed over to Osinbajo, who was in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum, at the time.

Osinbajo had to cut short his trip to take over the responsibilities.

Buhari was expected back in the country on February 5, but he extended his vacation indefinitely, saying he was awaiting results of some medical tests.

Two weeks after, Adesina said the results of the tests showed his principal needed a longer period of rest.

But on Sunday, Buhari hinted that his the end of his medical vacation was near.

The president had told Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi state, that he would soon to the country to continue his assignment of “providing purposeful leadership for the nation”.
