The arrangement is for farmers, through their Govs, to pay 50% while Fed Govt subsidize the 50% in the interest of the populace.

So how do they pay back the loan when the trucks are lying fallow? Isn't it better to give it out free (and possibly earn from the produce) than stay stuck in limbo? Do you know how much it is going to cost to service or repair those trucks that have been lying fallow?

I just need some advice abeg.

I recently got a teaching job this term — I’m in my early 20s and I teach Physics to SS2 students. I gave them an assignment on Gas Laws last week, and while marking, one of the girls wrote “masturbate” as her answer.

I was honestly speechless. I didn’t even know how to react. The school doesn’t allow flogging or any form of physical punishment, so I can’t just “discipline” her the old way.

I’m trying to maintain professionalism, but that answer really shocked me. I don’t know if she was joking, testing me, or if there’s something else behind it.

Should I call her aside to talk? Or report it to the principal or class teacher?
I don’t want to embarrass her, but I also don’t want to ignore it.

Teachers and educationists in the house, please, how would you handle this kind of situation?

My initial instinct will be to bring it to the attention of the entire class that someone gave such an answer.

Then I would ask the class to give a logical explanation for why someone would give such an answer

Then I would call out the student who gave the answer to come and explain why She did it, in the presence of everybody, so that we can all learn.

Depending on how she answers the question, I may handle it within the class or escalate to the next superior staff, that I report to.

If she was being mischievous she already knows, she knows that you know and some of her colleagues probably already know. Thus tip toeing around the issue rather than nip it in the bud, means you should expect some more deviation from Her or her colleagues.

The period is very short my guy. You can't spend 37 million naira on wedding and walk away from it after just two weeks even if you married devil himself/herself. If the woman was the one who spent that amount, she wouldn't walk away just after two weeks. She would want to exercise patience and see if both could walk through their issues.

Showing up all made up the way she did and leaving as soon as he was committed to the ground will indicate that her character is a possible reason why the husband looked outside in the first place.
I am not excusing the late husband's cheating. But whatever it is, he remains the father of her children and if she has nothing else to mourn for, that her kids will grow up without their father is reason enough.
Secondly, her actions indicate she is outrightly cutting ties with her husband's people. Possibly, that will be the last time they'll see her or the kids.
The way the husband died is shameful. The wife drawing attention to it by her actions, embarrasses her in-laws and her children. Of course there will be mourners at the burial who are not family and they will be wondering why the wife left. They will get to know the reason why and whatever positive memory they may have about the late husband, will vaporise.

Any woman who can openly disrespect and disregard her in-laws like that is a woman who never had much regard or respect for her husband in the first place..

As a Strategist, I would say this looks like a strategy to douse the tension , and distract the citizenry, without denying or changing anything.

Despite her having pcos during our dating year, she got pregnant and she decided to abort it which i was strongly against.

My answer is Yes, as someone who grew up in naija, worked in naija before relocating. I value my piece of mind, it's not only about money. Whenever, I remembered the type of stress I went through in the city of Lagos, I can't imagine myself continuing with that type of life. You have car, you cannot drive it in peace, traffic one, people lacking driving education dragging road with you, and you will eventually park that car for one side. A lot of people behave as if they are crazy. Neighbor generator will not let you sleep till 12am, another holier than thou Neighbor will begin night vigil by that 12am disturbing your sleep when you are living in a considerable better environment mainland, as if that is not enough, another preacher will start in own by 5am beside your window till 7am why won't someone break down in those scenarios. The stress is just too much in that country, it's not only about money. We have only one life to live, and one should enjoy it. I've heard many saying abroad is boring, in abroad you can create your fun and make your self happy.

I am in Lagos, i have structured myself and my life to ensure. I have peace of mind. If I was in the US and my kids were going to schools there, I will not have peace of mind, due to gun violence in schools and racism in society. To each is own
