Babaken:Did you see him as a wall gecko? How do you know the Mad Woman was healed? How are you sure he was telling your father the truth? Why didn’t he just use jazz to control your father? Or why didn’t he turn into a wall gecko to steal the contract papers and award it to himself? |

lexylaw40: They can peg all they want, they can never peg the laws of demand and supply. The scarcer the product, the higher the price. 20,000 bags, for a state of 20 million people and the highest consumers of rice? You do the math. |

Shoodboi: So you just sit down in your house , thousands of miles away and decide which of the hostages you will believe? Why can’t they both be saying the truth. “Hamas was gentle with us” … after massacring over 1000 people in the most brutal way, is the funniest argument in support of Hamas that I have heard. I really think we Africans should stay out of taking sides on this conflict because neither the Jews nor the Arabs give a hoot about black Africans , to them we are monkeys and slaves , yet we are here fighting each other over two brothers of the same Father (Abraham/Ibrahim) who are unable to resolve their differences. |
Family / Re: How Do You Forget A Spouse That Has Forgotten You by TheGift: 3:07pm On Nov 28, 2023 |
GVTAsiwaju: Hmmmm… I have not had this experience before so I have no specific advice. But ultimately I know that our lives our ours to live and everything that comes to us in life is temporary. We need to let go , especially of things that are truly gone. If we don’t let go of something’s we will never discover even greater things in store for us. We live and we learn. Nobody has it all together. The most important thing is not your marital or social status but your internal status. Your sense of self , that is not driven by ego, shame or pride. But by equanimity and self acceptance. All things can actually work together for good. 5 Likes 1 Share |

1Alex: It depends on what kind of farm worker you are talking about. But my point is many of us will travel half way across the world to do stuff we are ashamed of doing here. Meanwhile, if we could just put that shame aside. I know a graduate in Nigeria who started working as a cleaner in Nigeria, now he has a cleaning company that employs a lot of people. Because he was able to put shame aside and find dignity in his ow labour. Sometimes when I think of our best brains , shipping out in their prime to go and do menial jobs in faraway lands , it reminds me of a second slavery. Only this time, we are the ones giving up and selling all that we have worked for to go and become slaves. Note this does not apply to everyone. But many people are running away from without knowing what they are running to and why. 1 Like |

qtguru:Yes school fees is free, but what if what they are teaching your kids in school does not make them free? If you are like my friend in Canada, who doesn’t want his children to grow up on values he doesn’t not support , like gay marriage or gender fluidity , then you will still end up going to pay for a private “Christian” school. That free education you are talking about, comes at a cost that is not money. 2 Likes |

1Alex: But you will be too ashamed to become a farmer in Nigeria, even though it will give you more money than being a banker? And all this talk about making more money, When you earn your Canadian dollars, will you pay your bills in naira? Will you not still pay your taxes in Canada which has one of the highest tax rates in the world? You guys really need to think about this thing a little deeper. |

Truths9ja: Someone is giving you advice on how to post more concisely and clearly, for the sake of readers and all you can say is they should “Respect how you post”? So even though people find it stressful to read, just as I did, the should just respect your post, because you say so? Why not just take the feedback and improve for everybody’s sake, including yourself? Why not just respect your readers? 1 Like |

Draslo: How does one handle a promiscuous sister? You don’t handle her, that’s how. It’s her own life. Unfortunately, or fortunately, she is his sister and there is nothing he can do about that. As long as she is not coming to corrupt his wife or his children. Her life is her business. He should treat her with love, that’s what brothers do. One day she will get tired, maybe then she will wake up. |

Family / Re: How's Your Relationship With Your Siblings? Toxic Or Healthy? by TheGift: 4:33pm On Nov 25, 2023 |
LagosG: Mostly healthy. Infact, me and all of my five siblings belong to a WhatsApp group where we discuss and collaborate on family related issues. There is also a larger family WhatsApp group with my dad , all of his own five siblings (my three uncles and two aunties) and all of their children ( my siblings and cousins - plus our children who are old enough) We often banter and share stuff there and there is very little formality in the way we relate. My Grand-Father instilled some family values that are being passed down to generations. 8 Likes 1 Share |
