spykid014: That my friend is a trade secret...I never said I searched on their website. The do it that way probably because they want you to book directly with them at the office so they can slap on a booking fee...just thinking aloud |

spykid014: I'm not talking about summer...I'm speaking in general. Think about whatever the off peak fares were last year and add on about 40% because the $ prices are the same but the value in Naira has gone up. Even if the fares are further discounted, the savings have been lost due to exchange differences. |

Just a piece of advice...all of you looking for cheap flights, please bear in mind that the Naira has been greatly devalued so the cheapest tickets will be in the $1200 range. Do the math...that's in the 230k range. Sad to say that the days of 190k tickets to the US might be over. See below...that's the cheapest fare you can get for a 2 week stay in July...

cornoil: You have already started to kill your chance by committing fraud. Please I advise you to not alter any statements but to fill a new DS-160 with the correct details and provide evidence that all your 50m transactions are legal and genuine. You may be banned for a very long time from the US if you are found out to have provided false documents. 4 Likes |

What type of job are you going there for? Beware of Slavery. Some employers will seize your passport and make you work for a certain time under stringent conditions before releasing it. You will also require an exit visa to leave the country and if your employer doesn't give you, you can be stuck there for years without recourse. |

gentleiphy: I disagree with the section below. gentleiphy: ...so VO's sef hardly listens to you even though they were the one that asked the questions as they were busying typing while you talk...point is i want to agree that before you even stand in their front they have already pre approved just waiting to see your face. The VO's do listen. However, articulation is very important. The only questions you are ever asked are questions you were asked on the form and you answered. Your ability to articulate your answers or regurgitate the responses are very key. If you do not understand the question, simply ask the VO to repeat the question and don't fumble away and assume that a half-hearted response is good enough. It has been reiterated time and time again that the decision to grant the visa is given as a result of the interview and not a pre-approval. It is possible that some background research may have been done on you before you present yourself at the interview window. The essence of the interview is for the applicant to positively corroborate the information supplied on the form without contradictions... I hope that this serves to explain. 3 Likes |

If you're working in Onne, you should look towards Rumuibekwe or Rumukwurushi as Onne is outside town. Is your actual office in Onne or somewhere in the city. What's your budget for accommodation? I know someone that can help you out. |

tayoamos: I disagree...I use them all the time. From US Embassy in Lagos to VFS in Lekki and Ikeja and now Telepeformance. I use them for passport photographs and photocopies...no more. They can have as much impact as you allow them on your application. It's just a photograph, don't think too hard about it. 5 Likes 1 Share |

litem234: I've seen this before. What this means is that they were unable to verify some or all of the documents you submitted. For example, if you submitted a hotel booking but they were unable to contact the hotel to verify it or the bank statements looked suspicious or showed some evidence of 'bulk loading' rather than consistent transactions. It could also be that the reasons you stated for your trip are not consistent with the information you supplied. |

Amefreeka: I 'believe' you. Is the VO totally convinced? Vice-Consul, United States Consulate, Lagos, Mr. Christopher Richardson, says many applicants are refused American visas because they have not visited other countries. source:http://www.punchng.com/news/why-applicants-are-refused-us-visas/ I have heard people say ‘but I have an invitation.’ Such people assume that they should not be refused visa because they have an invitation. But our system is not the same as the UK system. In the UK system that (invitation) has to be considered very strongly. In the US system, that has to be considered too but it is not as strong as the UK’s and it doesn’t mean you automatically have to get a visa. Articulation is a big issue. Visa interview is a big issue and applicants need to prepare. It is also important that you know all the information in your application and be fully responsible for them. You also need to plan ahead. Planning ahead is probably number one. Head of the Consular Section of the US Embassy in Abuja, Carol Cox. source: http://www.punchng.com/politics/diplomatic-post/invitation-letter-not-automatic-for-visa-us-consular/ |

Amefreeka: Absolutely no travel history is usually an immediate red flag especially if the purpose of your visit is a 'vacation'. The questions in the mind of the VO to you are Why now? Why America? As big as the world is you've decided out of the blue to visit America first! America that is so far away and expensive to go before ever going anywhere else? Moreso you picked New York, an expensive city to visit. Tell me more...Are you really telling us that you don't just want to abandon your family and live illegally in our country? 2 Likes |

The visa application process is shown here; www.mfa-ks.net If you have a valid schengen visa you have an exception. Citizens of the countries which are required to obtain a visa for Kosovo but hold a biometric valid residence permit issued by one of the Schengen member states or a valid multi-entry Schengen Visa are exempt from the requirement to obtain a Visa to enter, transit, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo for up to 15 days. bisco5: [b]Nope...why would you think this? What might raise questions would be if you arrived too far ahead of your course say a couple of months and can't account for your time before resumption. An assumption might be that you intend to work either illegally or in breach of the terms of your visa. It isn't unusual for students to arrive on Sunday against resumption on Monday. |

MOFERANJESUGAN: You do not need to get a new passport if your passport expires next December. Your visa is still valid even when your passport expires. All you will need is a new valid passport and your expired passport with a valid visa in it. |
