5 years is no joke |
I on behalf of the families of late civil servants and police officers who died in active service, plead with Presieent Ebele Jonathan to please use his good office to releas the long awaited funds for the group life cover for the late officers. These people have served the country with their lives, and they died serving their nation, do not let those they left behind suffer. Some families have not been paid for more than five years, a lot of children have been forced out of school because of lack of funds to continue. Please Mr President, before you leave office, give these families a reason to smile again, aliviate their sufferings, and help children to return to school by releasing this money. Thank you For those that don't know, group life insurance is: Section 9 (3) of the Pension Reform Act 2004 (The Act) requires every employer, to which the Act applies, to maintain Life Insurance Policy in favour of the employee for a minimum of three times the annual total emolument of the employee. |

It is quite Un imaginable to learn that the families of police officers who lost their lives since 2012 and civil servants who died in active service since 2010 has not been paid any compensation in form of Group life insurance. The group life insurance policy was brought in since 2004 to provide succor to the families of civil servants and police officers who die in service. January this year, the government said they are ready to pay the group life insurance money, we still haven't gotten anything. http://www.punchng.com/business/business-economy/fg-to-insure-civil-servants-for-n6bn/ https://www.nairaland.com/2152162/underwriters-deny-federal-workers-policemen https://www.nairaland.com/2206398/tinubu-accuses-gej-squandering-money |
Fashola for works or ministry of power |
I have scrolled through nairaland and seen the endless negative energy between differnt tribes expectcially the Igbos and Yorubas. I see no difference between racist comments coming from a white man to a black. The oNly difference is that we are all black. So In my view, tribalism is a form a racism. SAY NO TO TRIBALISIM SAY NO TO RACISM ON NAIRALAND. Your opinion? |

Rilwayne001:Why should my profile beard those quotes for a week when I don't believe on them just because I want to place a comment on an Islamic post? How will you feel if you were to confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour before you comment on any CHRISTIAN post? From the tone of your voice you sound so angry, if the situation were reversed, im sure you will be the first to cry out. Let anyone air their view, if you don't like it, open your own thread full stop!!! |
Omofairy:Exactly my point |
barackodam:If thats so, then Muslims should also be ban from commenting in other religions. I have seen a lot of hate towards pastors, tithes, etc, but that didn't make nairaland ban other religions from commenting |
Anyone can try and view that topic and reply, yuk will see what I am talking about |
SeverusSnape:trust me, all religions are sensitive too, why not also avoid thesame treatment to them? I smell partiality |
Today I saw a topic in the front page titled https://www.nairaland.com/2205557/what-rewards-muslim-women-paradise I tried to comment on the topic only to be redirected to a page where I was being asked if I was a Muslim. I clicked on 'no' only to be redirected to front page where I could no longer view the topic. Question 1. Can I not make intelligent comment on any topic about Islam? Question 2. Does this rule apply to every other religion? I'm my opinion if there is a special treatment for Islam, there should be also for budist, the Sanyo worshipers, the ogun servers, even Christians. NB: I tried posting this in religion section but it won't |
