Raiyell:
I am very excited about Jonny Drille because he makes artful music that speaks to me.

I just hope he will not focus on making singles alone. Nigerian music industry has an unhealthy preoccupation with singles which does not bode well for the quality of its creations in the long run. Reason being that, concept albums have more depth and refinement than singles. This preoccupation with singles is the reason why most of our artists have lean discographies.

Don Jazzy has no love for artful work. He is a pop-man -- pop-men love singles.

Lets watch and see if Don Jazzy can give us a male ASA because Drille is sufficiently talented to produce at the same level as ASA. Only good creative direction can make that happen but I do not repose much trust in Don Jazzy.
Sign him up or introduce him to the person your repose trust and confidence in.
Celebrities › Re: Soldier Who Died In Accident With Ebony Reigns Will Punished For 40 Days by Themandator: 7:59pm On Feb 10, 2018
It happens... The Nigerian Police once detained the corpse of the driver of their football team when their bus plunged into a river, killing all on board, in Delta state, back then.

Saiqbros:
Reports trickling in says that the soldier who died in the accident with Ebony Reigns will be punished by the Ghana Armed Forces as he violated the rules of the army by lying that he was sick and also for wearing a uniform for an unofficial duty.

The soldier is an Air-force Lance Corporal and a report on YEN.com.gh says that, the soldier will be court marshaled and sentenced to 40 days in the military guardroom for lying and also wearing a military uniform on an unofficial duty. Reports say, he applied for a sick leave before embarking on that journey.

What this means is that his the body of the deceased soldier will be detained for 40 days before being handed over to his family. Also, the bereaved family could be denied his benefits.–Report on yen.com.gh

Now this is serious and it’s shocking to learn that, in the military even in death, you could be punished if you flout the rules.

Ebony and 2 others died in a fatal accident after their driver in an attempt to dodge a heap of sand on the road crashed into a VIP bus. The driver was the only one who survived that accident.

Ebony was returning to Accra after she went to visit her mom in Kumasi and met her untimely death. News of her death has shocked majority of Ghanaians.

Ebony who would have turned 21 on February 16th, unfortunately, couldn’t live to celebrate her birthday.

Car Talk › Re: Cosmas Maduka Of Coscharis Motors: Failed In 3 Businesses, He Still Persists by Themandator: 10:42am On Feb 08, 2018
Go and re read this article and make the needed adjustments to the ages inserted therein.

AutoReportNG:
It is always been said that behind every glory, there is always a story attached to it. The name Coscharis Motors is more like a national anthem to all car owners, car lovers and those who love luxury, those who love to put their money in where they can easily control it, to them Coscharis Motors is a place to be. As popular as this brand is, not many know the man behind this company as he lives a very quiet and carefree life. It took some time before I can recognise him as well as he lives a simple lifestyle.

This is the success story of Cosmas Maduka, a Nigerian business Magnate who didn’t always have it all easy but also had his own share of humble beginnings. His story portrays that of a man who fights his way from poverty to unprecedented success.

In The Beginning

Cosmas Maduka was born in 1958, in Jos, Nigeria to Mr and Mrs Peter and Rose Maduka. In 1962, at the age of just four (4), tragedy struck with the passing of his father. With the poor and pitiable status of his family’s then finances, he was faced with no other choice than to start providing the very basics of life for himself. At the age of seven (7), he withdrew from primary school at elementary 3 and started assisting his mother in hawking Akara (Bean cakes) in Plateau, Jos.

In 1970 when Cosmas was twelve (12) years old, his uncle who resided in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos, took charge of his well being by bringing him over to serve as an automobile apprentice in their auto shop located at No. 88 Griffith Street, relatively close to Oyingbo Bus Stop. Since his uncle had no place of his own to stay, he’d usually sleep at his friend’s place while Cosmas Maduka would sleep in the shop at the end of every work-day.

At the age of 9, young Cosmas, through is hard work, dedication, and honesty had totally won his uncle’s trust. This made his uncle give him larger sensitive responsibilities he wouldn’t naturally have given anyone, like travelling alone to make purchases on his uncle’s behalf from Nnewi, and when he clocked 14, he was sent to work at one of their branches at Sokoto and eventually Nnewi.

One thing that is glaring about Mr Cosmos was he believes in God, he is not ashamed to show off his spirituality to all men as this was what caused his rift with his uncle. In 1975 while still aged 14, after absenting himself from work by attending a church camp program without his uncle’s permission, his relationship with his uncle fell apart. The event caused his uncle to immediately terminate is apprenticeship, and to subsequently settle him with a pitiful sum of just 200 Naira ($0.75) to go and concentrate on his church programs. The little sum was given to punish him at the time.

Note: The value of 200 Naira at the time was worth a lot more than today.

With his settlement, he founded an auto spare parts business called Maduka Brothers with his brother which eventually shut down, and they parted ways due to ideological differences. This separation left him with an additional 100 Naira, and a total of 300 Naira ($1) as working capital.

Days of Little Beginning

Being armed with the 300 naira that he made from the failed business, Cosmos Maduka decided to venture into a new business and this time, he starts alone. He began by buying and selling motorcycle spare parts from Boulos Industries. The major product that was turning in a lot of returns for him was Boulos’s new innovation, motorcylce crash ban. He would buy several of them and remove the address of Boulos from the carton so that people wouldn’t know where he was buying from. Within a short period of one week, his capital rose from 300 Naira to 3,000 Naira.

Just as the African adage says, that if a child has grown to the age of been able to afford a hoe, you allow him to get one, such as when young Cosmos decided to settle down for marriage. By the age of 19, Cosmas Maduka decided to get married to a beautiful woman called Charity. A short while after his marriage, he started importing products, but was struck with a great misfortune when he received the wrong consignment. This loss led him into several debts, and his landlord which he owed several months rent ended up locking his shop.

With nothing in hand, Cosmas had to start all over again. He picked a weight scale that he had received as a gift from his marriage, took it to the market, and started to charge 10 kobo from everyone who measured their weight. This daily routine got his wife in deep tears because of what her husband was going through, remembering their previous comfortable state.

The Breakthrough

After saving up a little capital, Cosmas Maduka teamed up with a friend of his, Dave, to start a new business called CosDave. Not long after their new business partnership, they fell apart due to disagreements on decisions making. This new breakup prompted him to start yet another business called Coscharis. The name Coscharis was formed by the combination of two different names; his name, Cosmas, and his wife’s name, Charity.

Cosmas Maduka’s big break finally came when in the same year 1982, the Nigerian government granted ten (10) motor companies import licences, and his Coscharis motors was selected. Ever since then, his company has continued to grow sporadically, with several branches around Nigeria. Today, his personal net worth according to an interview with Forbes Africa 2015, sits at over $500 million US dollars and counting.

As of 2016, Coscharis motors is not just one of the largest automobile dealers in Nigeria, but is also the exclusive distributor of BMW automobiles in Nigeria.

Coscharis Motors is the sole distributor of MG, MINI, Jahuar, LandRover, Ford among others. He is into agriculture, beverages, and lots more.

Food › Re: 6 Surprising Health Benefits Of Kiwifruit You Should Know by Themandator: 8:24am On Feb 05, 2018
HeWrites:
The kiwifruit, or simply the kiwi, is a beautiful fruit. In short, it is an edible berry the size of a normal egg.

The faint crust surrounds a green fruit with black seeds and a creamy white centre. When the fruit is peeled and cut, it looks beautiful. It has a slightly sweet and sour taste that most people like.

In addition to its beauty and taste, the kiwi offers a large number of nutrients. It is an excellent source of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and also contains a good amount of vitamins A, E and K. The mineral content of kiwifruit contains a good amount of potassium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus.

All these essential nutrients in the fruit have an additional benefit of dietary fibre. Kiwis also contain little carbohydrates and calories.

Because the kiwis are grown in different parts of the world, this fruit can be found in shops all year round.

You can eat kiwi fruit as it is or mix it in a shake. You can even add kiwi to salads. Nowadays kiwi is also available as a supplement in the form of powder, tablet or capsule.

These are the six best health benefits for the Kiwifruit.

1. Helps in the treatment of asthma:
Kiwi can also help in relieving asthma symptoms such as wheezing and coughing. Vitamin C and antioxidants in kiwi help in the treatment of asthma. Moreover, vitamin C is involved in the metabolism of histamine and prostaglandins, which are involved in bronchoconstriction. This, in turn, prevents asthma attacks.

2. Digestion:
Those who have digestive problems should try to eat more kiwis. This fruit contains many dietary fibres, which is good for digestion. Moreover, the proteolytic enzyme actinidine helps break down proteins, which in turn helps the digestion process.

In addition to helping protein digestion, kiwi also helps prevent constipation and keeps the digestive tract healthy thanks to fibres and prebiotics in the fruit.

3. Regulates the blood sugar level:
The kiwifruit can be consumed by people with diabetes type 1 or type 2. Your glycemic index varies from 47 to 58, so your blood sugar level is not increased drastically.

With a high fibre content and low carbohydrates, the kiwi helps control blood sugar levels and lower cholesterol. Also, it helps in the treatment of complications related to diabetes, such as diabetic foot neuropathic ulcers.

Diabetics must eat 1 kiwi daily to keep blood sugar levels under control and offer a healthy alternative to high-fat or sweet snacks.

4. Make a better sleep
People who struggle to enjoy a broad sleep can eat some kiwis to solve this problem. This spicy and sweet fruit contains many medicinally useful compounds. The following compound; such as antioxidants and serotonin that may be useful in the treatment of sleep disorders. To enjoy a quality dream, just eat a kiwi per hour before you go to bed.

5. Supports cardiovascular health:
The kiwi is packed with vitamins C and E, polyphenols and a good amount of potassium. All these nutrients are good for the health of heart and blood vessels.

Antioxidants such as vitamins C and E help to eliminate free radicals in the blood and help prevent cell damage that is linked to cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis.

Also, kiwifruit helps reduce the risk of blood clots without adverse effects, unlike aspirin. Fiber and potassium in kiwis also promote heart health by reducing the risk of death from ischemic heart disease.

6. Strengthens the immune system:
The high vitamin C content in kiwi can help enhance your immunity. This antioxidant helps tremendously to stimulate your immune system to prevent diseases and protect the body against harmful pathogens.

Kiwifruit also contains vitamin E, which helps to increase the T-cell content of your body, which further contributes to stronger immunity.

Good to know. Though electronic library that saves space would have been a better option.
I have close to 4,000 ebook that takes approximately 9gb space on my iPad, also kept as back up on my laptop as well phone memory

CastedDude:
A man has revealed his surprise after visiting the library located in the Palace of the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II. According to him, the massive living room which doubles as a library - is not only gorgeous but a forest of books. According to reports, the Emir still has close to 14,000 collections in his house in London that he is planning to bring back home in Kano state.

Read what Nur Habib shared online after his visit to the exquisite library;

I left the Emir's Palace here in Kano at about 9:35 pm. I went with my uncle and cousin this time around. And I went into sections of the Palace that I have never been to before. It was beautiful, especially at night. The renovations and reconstructions some grumbled about are well worth it in my humble opinion.

We met the King in his new library at the Palace. A very exquisitely furnished large room with the most beautiful wood panelling and chandeliers I have ever seen. There were shelves on two sides of the room filled from the floor to the ceiling with books.

Remember that family law he proposed one time? Well, the issue came up as His Highness rose to get a copy of a book on Islamic jurisprudence written ages ago where the recommended minimum age for marriage was surprisingly specified at 18. He then read from another book that listed the different age limits for marriage for both males and females in several Middle-eastern countries and across different Islamic sects.

He said that he is still insisting that the minimum age limit can be debated, ranging between 15, 16 and so on, as many scholars argued for, but that he still prefers it to be set at 18 years old. But to insist that the institution of marriage cannot be regulated is not only disingenuous but absurd.

The King then recounted a conversation he once had with a prominent scholar here in Kano where the Malam told His Highness that the problem with introducing something as new as the King is proposing is that the people will not welcome it. That they will "talk".

The Emir laughed, as did we, when he said he replied the Malam saying that what will the people say other than what people like him tell them? If he tells them to accept it, they will not resist. Likewise, if he also tells them to reject it then that is what they'll do. Scholars have that power here. Sometimes more power than the government even.

Anyway, work is still ongoing. The law is still being fine-tuned and all the different sides will meet up once again to find a final way forward.

He even added that the Governor of Jigawa told him that they are already very willing to implement such a family law there.

Discussions moved on to other subjects as I continued to marvel at the elegant beauty of His Highness' marvellous library. And I thought to myself, wait o, this man is equally a scholar himself. He is not just aping or making noise but he actually knows what he is talking about from the perspectives of religion, culture and the law.

Another thing meeting him today reminded me of is that he is quite tall too. You don't really see it on TV or in pictures. Or when he's seated in all his kingly regalia on a throne.

One last thing that he did that I found extremely remarkable was how he quickly recognized me. The first and last time I visited and met the Emir in private was sometime early or mid last year, I can't remember when precisely but I did make a post about it here. We had a brief conversation after I had introduced myself and I haven't met with the Emir one on one ever since.

Yet, the man recognized me almost instantly. Considering the volume of faces he comes across almost on a daily basis, I found this to be very impressive. What a memory.

The police had been there. Military troops deployment was decided by senate resolution or VP committee, one of the two after the police was deployed.
The army already reacted to the recommendations of the VP committee: it takes a request from the C-in-C to the Senate for the army to get involved. And besides, the topmost leadership of the police force has been ordered to relocate to Venue state and until they complain of inability to contain the situation the military is not expected to come in that they are the last line of defence.

The above process has not been exhausted. The president has not written to the Senate to ask for permission to deploy troops to the state.

Troops have currently stationed themselves in the region in order to prevent any reprisal attack.
