Wisdomkosi:
Reports reaching 9news Nigeria indicate that there is currently a heavy tension in Benue State after soldiers following Governor Ortom opened fire at an unarmed protesters, injuring many.
According to an eyewitness who shared the story said…

”Today we’ve confirmed the apparent inability of the government and it’s security agencies in coming the aid of Benue people who have been slaughtered, butchered, murdered in the most gruesome manner by the Fulani herdsmen.
Instead of using the guns on the Fulani herdsmen for the protection of the Benue people, the government and it’s agencies prefers to use same on the unarmed people of Benue. Some citizens who came out to register their grievances over the gruesome murder of the innocent people of Benue. Even as I post, there are shootings of live bullets at the unarmed protesters in Makurdi by the combined team of Airforce, Army, Navy, Police, NSCDC, BSVG, SSS and the rest… May God come to our aid.”

The Benue State chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Abba Yaro has described the massive killing of over 50 Benue people by the Fulani herdsmen as an invitation for Civil War.

In a Statement issued in Abuja, Yaro decried the recent killings as an attempt to spark second civil war in Nigeria, insisting that, it is clear case of ethnic cleansing around the Benue Valley which must be stopped immediately.

While calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately call the Fulani to order and as well direct security agents to fetch out the killers, he also called on all Benue Sons and daughters, irrespective of Party affiliation to rise in defence of Benue Community.

"This is above Party politics, it is human lives, how can you kill a pregnant woman and removed the unborn child yet slaughtered it? It is barbaric, unspeakable and generally unpalatable".

Yaro says the Anti Open Grazing Law in Benue is not targeted at any section of the people but for the general security of Benue State, a measure against cattle rustling and a solution to herders/farmers clash.

"The implementation is ongoing and we are in support of our governor, we are not deterred, the Anti Open Grazing Law has come to stay.

"Nigerians should not see the killings as a Benue problem but National crisis, the absence of peace in Benue is an absence of peace in Nigeria.

"We must treat it as a national ethnic cleansing by the Fulanis and collectively pressurize Mr President to put an end to it. If Boko Haram can be defeated, IPOB stopped, Fulani killings can be stopped", he observed.

He further call on the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Buratai, the Interior Minister Lt Gen Danbazau, the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris to protect Benue community or "we rise in self-defense, which will amount to the second civil war."

Yaro emphasized that "if the Fulanis are not called to order by the relevant authorities to stop the ethnic cleansing like the lawless Fulanis are doing, Benue people shall take laws into their hands in self-defense".

Bovas sold at their depot not station at 154. I have stated it here that they sell at their stations at government regulated priced and then make up for it with higher prices to IPMAN members.

Some of the station manager and their boss will load the product as 45000 litres and take 11000 litres to their stations while selling the balance to other stations who would sell it at higher prices....so you see truck enter their station and after an hour or so they shut down that they have exhausted their supplies whereas it have diverted it to IPMAN members stations for higher value

After subsidy was removed private importers stopped importing. The whole system is a mess
Firstly, the government didn't remove subsidy but lied that it did. NNPC was incurring losses quarter after quarter bringing the product.
Secondly, when they lied that subsidy had been removed they pegged both the ex depot and pump price... And then brought out a template that the real importers complained about but they wanted the temporary hailing of Nigerians...... Then the importers resorted to buying from NNPC at ₦111 until recently when the corporation quietly raised the price by ₦7

babaolofin:
Firstly, the analysis of Glo becoming the largest network on acquisition of 9mobile is wrong. As a core telecom Engr, I know simple arithmetic or geometric progression cannot work here.

On acquisition, those customers who are already on Glo network & those that are displeased with Glo services are necessary minus to the cumulative customers base. Later, depending on the ability of Glo to improve her QoS, more customers may join or leave the network.

On internet network performance, they (MTN & Airtel)are all very disappointing. I stopped Glo long time ago. I use MTN as my first network but I am making this posting on Airtel my secondary link. I have faced frustration severally from both networks especially when I needed them most. This made me to load data on both networks & be running up &,down but MTN seems better.

If Glo acquires 9mobile I am not sure if 50% of 9 mobile subscribers would retain the line. Already, MTN is gradually creating a monopoly of the business with the acquisition of VGC Communication, lately Visafone & 21st century.
Customers across Nigeria need fixed line number , for example in Lagos 01 - xxxxxxx , 09 - xxxxxxx, 084 - xxxxxxx which MTN acquires from Visafone is in high demand in Lagos, Abuja & PHC .

This cannot be said to be the case with 9 mobile. Any company acquiring 9 mobile should be ready to compete with MTN which will be a very tough battle.

I wish the winner best of luck
But sir, those companies already acquired by mtn are park radio just like smile network or whatever they call it service providers not GSM. Even though they have handsets that works with them they are not as versatile as the GSM carries

If a company like smile acquire the firm, they will do well on both front ....That is my take

Certainly the priest didn't make those comments attributed to him even though he stopped the governor from making those political statement in the house of God

LasgidiOnline:
A Catholic priest from Gboko diocese in Benue state on Wednesday 27 December 2017 stopped the State Governor, Chief. Samuel Ortom from making a speech at the thanksgiving service to mark the 64th birthday of Senator George Akume at St Christopher's church Wannune, Tarka LG.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-TROEunRWKzU/WkTLrq-ksLI/AAAAAAABwSc/bDG7zPqDvPEpdG48-Q1b-l_LH4KDRGTyACHMYCw/s640/FB_IMG_1514455285961.jpg
According to sources in Wannune, the Parish Priest , Reverend Father Ashwe, did not allow the Governor to make his speech on the issue of non payment of salaries in the State.
Fr Ashwe said, during service, there was no way the governor would be allowed to talk.

Ashwe further explained to his people that the governor has failed to pay workers salaries thus causing hardship to workers in the State.

Akume had spoken at the thanksgiving mass and gave the microphone to Ortom to make a speech about the situation of things in Benue but Rev Father Ashwe did not allow the governor make his remarks, asking him to wait until they get to the reception venue where he could lie to the people about salary issues and other matters as much as he wanted. Ashwe added that he would not allow Ortom to stand in God’s house to deceive the people again.

Terver Akase, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor has however released a statement saying there is no rift between the governor and the Gboko Catholic diocese.

There is no strategy for making heaven other than accepting the free gift of salvation that the cross offers. It is SALVATION from Jesus Christ death and resurrection that guarantees anyone a place in heaven.

Whosoever believes is saved....when the scripture says work out your salvation it is saying, work out your belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ through the word.... Fear of missing heaven will lead many, like Job and his morbid fear,to actually miss it.

That was how a guy was arguing about women and trousers and I told him it was actually for women in Jesus times that Jesus never wore one....he come shut up

ricsman:
Check out for fact where you aren't cleared or where I'm not correct.

Deeper Christian Life Ministry was established in 1987 to formalise Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC) started in 1973 by a mathematical Don, W. F. Kumuyi bore 1941.
Got born again in 1964.

As a man who lived his youthful years going to church without being fulfilled because of the shallow massages been preached, decided to create time from his lecturing work to dig deeper into the word of God with 15 people who desired to know more.

Their aim wasn't to form a church as there were no Sunday service as at then, (everyone goes to their church on Sunday) only Bible study on Mondays. However this change when they eventually turned it to a church and later a ministry.

The main reason for its formation has not changed from "Your Spiritual Welfare is Our Concern". Their aim is to go deeper in the things of God, hence the name deeper life. So whatever is necessary to maintain the focus is welcome, hence the church doctrine.

The church has 22 doctrines which they emphasis every meeting days, however there are other unwritten doctrines which also help in upholding the holiness nature of the church.

Yeah HOLINESS! People say the members of this church are claiming to be holier than others, sorry it's not their fault. They are told to do everything everyday to be holy, because it's the only passport to making Heaven at the end of their life on earth. The Bible says follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man will see the Lord.

Now, to make sure holiness is pursued to the end, certain things which are not evil on its own but has a tendency of evil are to be avoided. The Bible says abstains from every appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22.

Some of these things are as follows :

1:- Television. Then television was the major source of phonography, contradicting adverts etc. So, to avoid certain things, don't watch. However, with the advancement of technology, Internet and phones, television became a child’s play. You know better now.... Live broadcasting of the gospel.

2:- Opposite sex visitation. The church doesn't encourage opposite sex visiting each other, WHY? To avoid Fornication. This gave room to one of the strict doctrine of the church on marriage. It got to a point that if you tell the marriage committee that you've visited the one you want to marry, that the church won't wed you people again..... This is what the pastor intend to change (before he leaves earth) ie. Your wedding can't just be stopped because of things that can be overlooked (didn't lead to Sin).

3:- Dressing Pattern. Yeah Dressing! For holiness sake, everyone must cover their unclothedness. No sensitive part of the body is allowed to be seen raw skin, see through or by shape. Dressing for holiness and for smartness at work is what drives dressing pattern. Anything aside these are not allowed.

4:- Drinking of Alcohol. Nothing is wrong with drinking moderately as encourage in the Bible but to avoid being drunk it's not encourage in the church. Alcohol has done more harm than good. Many can't control what they take in hence gets drunk often. Like you know, people see drunks as irresponsible people.... And who wants to teach their children to be drunk? Not deeper life people. I like Gen 9:21 and Prov 31:4,6

5:- Money. Money answereth all things. Yeah MONEY. You need money to run an organization/ministry. However money isn't the church priority. They preach less about it and don't emphasis it much. Tithes and offerings and vows are the only mean of raising money in the church, and all this means are thought to be done willingly and cheerfully. No register is kept for any giver.

In conclusion, the church isn't the world. Things mustn't be done to please the world lovers. The mission of the church is to bring people to God.

Tell your pastor to tell you more of God's kingdom and how to get there after life here on earth.
God bless us all.
