Most of our politicians don't even know what is going on on twitter. It's left for we acclaimed lazy Nigerian youths to defend their woes up and down on social media while they keep stashing their accounts with looted funds.
Pity! |

It's not even about the 200k. It's more of the working condition and the state of the country. I won't even try to get that 200k. I will get all the required certification and go to a saner clime to train my offsprings. Meanwhile, you can stay in Nigeria and continue trying to restructure things to the way it should be. Good luck with that. |

frog12: I have explained this many times. I don't see HOW 200K a month is a problem. The people that complain, should tell us what the PROBLEM is with 200k a month. You are not using your salary to buy patient medicine. So how is this a problem? As I said, I don't intend to further my argument in that area, and I mean it. Have a nice day, and don't forget to get all your children to study medicine only for them to be stuck in a 200k salary for life with neck-breaking working conditions. |

I'm talking of the medical sector, bro. Dangote is investing in refinery to be cause he will benefit a lot from it financially. Not that he gives a hoot about the welfare of the people. Why will a foreigner invest in the medical sector in Nigeria? Who are its target customers? The masses that can't even afford 3 Square meals in a day? The politicians that prefer to go about to treat anything even as much as a catarr ?(with their looted funds) No matter which way we spin this. Its all boils down our greedy government and not a blame should be placed on any profession that decided to explore their option outside the country doctors inclusive. I'm done |

frog12: Is that not what GREEDY DOCTORS are doing running away from the PROBLEM?
Have you seriously seen the academic schedule and classes of your overseas peers BEFORE complaining of how difficult it is? There are some European universities where you have intake of 40, and only half finish. The others drop out. So this is universal everywhere. Medical standards must be HIGH, so you don't have substandard care. The SELFISH people here are DOCTORS.
TELL US the salary expenditures, you no fit do. You are giving your relatives all your MONEY, AND then you complain that the salary is not enough while the PATIENT dey die. Okay, pray tell. What can they do to tackle the problem? I want to hear you opinions Sir. If you think a 200k salary is Okay. I don't intend to further my argument on that. Thats ur opinion. |

If only it is that easy as you type for foreigners to invest in Nigeria. When even our politicians are not ready to invest in Nigeria, you expect a foreigner too in a dead country? The few foreign hospitals we have in Nigeria. A comfortable family cannot afford to treat malaria there. |

frog12: this REASONING is just sentimental. too sentimental. tell us the PROBLEM. THERE is no such thing as better life. Once you are a matured adult, you should not be afraid of any challenge in LIFE.
Have you seen the schedule of an overseas medical student? Have you compared it to yours to see which studies more?
you make the better life instead of RUNNING AWAY FROM challenges. you run away, there's no better life. You come back to the same problem. Are you okay with the way Nigeria is at the moment? If not, what do you think is the solution? How are they supposed to make a better life? By collecting a 200k salary or working in impoverished conditions? The place they are migrating to isn't devoid of challenges, too, but those are sane challenges. Not the kind we have in Nigeria. I don't need to compare. There no basis for comparison. They have all the infrastructure in place to facilitate their learning, practicals, and others. Of course, they are enjoying the value of what they pay for. In Nigeria, little to no apparatus even for practical. Poor studying environment. We are also getting what we paid for. C'est finni |

Wizedoc: I think some folks are just jealous because of the acceptability of Nigerian doctors abroad. They wish their profession would have same demand abroad so they can leave too, but since it is not so, they cry fowl. Nigerians are always against their fellows progress. Anybody that wants to leave Nigeria for a better life should leave. What about footballers that are going abroad to ply their trade? why They are only being selfish. If only they know what these people went through daily in school before they get to where they are. If they are so much pained, they can go and write exams for a medical course. I have friends who are depressed academically during the last semester we had. Their counterpart in other courses involve in all sorts of pleasures and liberation, and still, they want to have the same rights as doctors. Laughable. So such people should graduate and continue with the lives of misery? The problem of a black man has always been themselves. We keep fighting ourselves instead of us to face our common enemy. That's what our leader has been using and will continue to use to dominate us. |

frog12: NOT until you don't see any DOCTOR to treat any sickness tomorrow, then YOU WILL UNDERSTAND what we are talking about. and by the way, I've seen the way foreign DOCTORS treat patient overseas, it is even more STRESSFUL than what these greedy NIGERIAN DOCTORS ARE complaining of.
You think you are the only MEDICAL STUDENT THAT studies? Have you seen the class schedule of overseas Medical schools? It is even more than yours! This is the problem with these Nigerian doctors, they are arrogant and think THEY ARE KING, and deserve such. They can not even treat CORONA VIRUS, or even think of any MEDICAL CURE in their lifetime. Na oyinbo must come up with every SOLUTION. Tufiakwa to your GREEDY DOCTORS! In fact, I pray we get to this stage sooner than later. That's when we will be ready to take back our country from looters who threaten to bring us down as a nation and work on ourselves as citizens. Until then, we will continue to manage things, and they will continue pushing us to the wall until we eventually break it. People like you that probably have access to a better life won't see anything wrong with Nigeria. Till everything everything eventually crumbles from it's root. |

frog12: Kai. you are still a sleeping MEDICAL STUDENT. STILL on subsidized tuition fees sponsored by the government, so your reasoning is not strong enough. The inaction of those in politics is because you did not push them enough! That's why doctors go on STRIKE. OF course, government may not respond because they know they are subsidizing your education. hahaha. Medicine is a stressful occupation anywhere in the WORLD. And who tell you i don't reside in Lagos. as a matter of fact, i am writing from my village. If our medical professionals perform well in the UK, then why are they running away? why can't they work on CORONA CURES or vaccines, instead of copying what others say?
Give us a breakdown of your doctor friend Salary, and expenditures. You can rent a 3 bedroom flat in Lagos for 200k naira per year. That is your monthly salary. Please give us a breakdown and we can help you solve your MONEY problem. Take the money issue and keep that out of the discussion for now. Maybe you will understand things better. What about the working condition, hospital equipment- Should they provide that for themselves. Have you been to OSUTH, LUTH, and much other government hospitals in Nigeria? Even the best of the world's doctors wouldn't be able to perform any outstanding success with those. So you still want them to go searching for Corona cure despite all that. Countries that are working towards Corona cure and doing top-notch research in medicine, do you know how much their government invests in those research? Of course, you will say they should go and open their private hospital, do you know the amount of money involved in opening a quality standard private hospital in Nigeria. No doctor working on a 200k salary will ever be able to afford that. You just have to think above your hate for the medical profession. Or better still, let any of your children study medicine and when they graduate. Refer them to go and work in any of that 200k job for life. Cheers |

ahiboilandgas: how about the salary of teachers that train the doctos and sojas on frontline a new phd holder taking ur biochemistry is paid 130k while a soja is paid 70 k ... If they have the means and they want a better life for themselves by all means go for it. This country dead already and you know that. Of course protesting wouldn't change a thing. We all know the quality of living in Nigeria is low many thanks to our greedy political structure. Anybody that wants to go and will be accepted in a better country should go. frog12: what does this have to do with POLITICS? POLITICS and science do not MIX.
even if you GIVE the greediest DOG the best meat, it will never be ENOUGH. DO YOU UNDERSTAND that? You don't reason objectively, Sir. If you do, you will know all the actions and inactions those in politics or the government of a nation, especially the one like ours has a significant effect in all sectors of the economy. Always on the watch to support these evil people at any given opportunity. You that you are no greedy. Do you wish to collect 200k with breakneck working conditions for life? How much is even 200k in a place like Lagos where the standard of living is very high. Imagine enrolling your children in a school of 50k in Lagos. Of course, you wouldn't know because you don't reside in Lagos. If only you read or go through Medical school for a semester. You will come back and edit all that you typed here. For your information, I am a medical student, and I am speaking with first-hand information Have you ever wondered why Nigerians perform well in the UK despite their inadequate training in Nigeria? Well, it's not your government's doing, it's their sole efforts. The amount of reading they do in a semester, missing sleep, denying pleasures, buying foreign textbooks. I dare say you won't do all that for a slavery-like life of 200k a month while the greedy politician line their pockets with money day in day out. The quality of education they get in Nigeria is what they pay for. You don't just stay in the comfort of your house and assume things. |
