slimmy05: Guy, you wouldn't want to be treated like criminal when you absolutely know nothing about a crime. I know how many times I don get plenty rift with security agency romancing me in an improper way all on the name of search let alone someone treating me like a con. . When I got Chicago, there was a stop and search as they got an Intel. The cop asked me for my ID I showed him and he also asked if he could take a pic of it incase something happens to me. I asked him if it was necessary he said no, I told him thank you I have a guardian. Sharp guy. |

Crime › Re: Malaysia Sentence Nigerian Female Student To Death For Drug Trafficking by themodernman: 5:34am On May 15, 2015 |
slimmy05: depends on the nature and how your attorney helps defend your case, but you'll surely get a jail term and not death sentence I think that's better, cos in all these Asian countries them no wan hear whether na you get am or na setup....once they catch you na time up be dat while the main drug barons keep cruising in private yatchs with the best chiks. Reforming the individual is a better option if guilty not death sentence cos as time goes on, you might realize the person is actually innocent from his classes. |

ideykwum: Bro, I have actually considered that prospect, and it scared me!! Imagine trying to defend yourself in the face of skepticism and prejudice? Tamuno pasisi!!
I was outside the country a few years back, and a Nigerian woman in the same hotel with my family got friendly with us, and asked us to help her carry some luggage because she had excess luggage and we seemed to be traveling light! I forbade everyone in my party from any attempt to be sympathetic! Certainly, the women with me begged and implored that we should help, but I was adamant!
Can something be as crazy as unwittingly being someone's drug mule? If you succeed, you get a "thanks for the assistance"; if you fail, you go straight to jail or the gallows! After all, who will believe you didn't know?
As expected, the Nigerian woman was pissed, but I didn't owe her any apologies; her boisterous and chatty nature even scared me more!! Hmmmm!!! This life..one has to be very smart or else...dem go use person head do isi-ewu. |

slimmy05: I agree with the judge that the bag is hers. When I got to Charles De Gaulle airport in France, I was asked if the bags I have here are all mine? I told them yes, but the idiot Sudanese guy with me answered yes and he was screen and dope was found in the bag. He claimed the bag was not his just when they found dope in there- the annoying thing about the whole incidence.
Death is not the real solution to drug trafficking. We need to start sensitizing and educating our people on the implication of drug trafficking. She is sure going to die and nothing except God's intervention can change the situation. Can one do a random check on one's luggage b4 he proceeds for the checking? |

danny301: How?... That she was set up or what?.. If you know what majority of Nigerians in diaspora are capable of doing in the name of making money, you won't' be holding brief for anybody... 99% are guilty as charged. .. How sure are you Never heard of people sneaking cocaine into your luggage without your knowledge? It's just too hefty a punishment for my liking. I've been a victim of false accusation when I explained to my boss that I lost my Dad, it wasn't until I was punished that his anger calmed downed & then had the patience to see his Obituary poster. Bishop Oyedepo shared a testimony some years ago about how the Holy Spirit directed him to open the carpet of his driver's seat after his car was washed, he saw cocaine hidden there and he threw it away....as he got to the next police stop, the officer went straight to the carpet to look for the drug and was shocked to find nothing there...he told the man of God: "na God save you". To me its just a harsh & rash decision that's why most developed countries have done away with this judgement for such crimes. |

igbsam: And we preach the brother's keepers sermon.
Sadly, those people riding past are somehow active members in churches and mosques. You see them praying as if they naturally want to burst their lungs. We have a long way to go as humans in this country. Accident victims o! and not Robbery Victims that the police would want to rope u with the case as the animals they are.
So sad. Lolz @ "naturally want to burst their lungs" more like offering up themselves as a living sacrifice. |

naijainfogalery: I wont blame them , lots of people are wasting in Nigerian prisons just because of this kind of acts of love, Nigerian system is crazy, no emergency center to call and if u try to help, even the person might just say you are the one that hit him because he doesnt want to pay bill or doesnt have money to pay the bill. If you think the well, in your mind you will just support the victims with prayer because the story of the good samaritan could have landed him in jail right here in Nigeria, but that shouldnt give us an excuse not to save a life, One thing i have noticed is Nigerians are always looking for the first person to stop and help, once one person stops others will follow suit,
Check out this scenerio u helped the guy, because the doctors in most hospitals are not qualified, they will reject the person telling you to take him to the general hospital and if satan catches u, he dies in your car , you now went to report yourself at the station , the first thing they do is lock you up calling you a murderer not even a suspect oo or give u a benefit of the doubt, then before u know wassup they either ask you for a 100k bribe and if Satan now catches you the more , you dont have it, then thats how they will frame you for someones else death, and if devil wants to finish your life, if there is one rich man whose sons commits a criminal offence they could collect bribe then make you the victim. Any wise Nigerian would do anything in his power to stay away from the Nigerian police because ive heard cases where police will change your name on their register that you will never be found.
May God heal this country. No wonder my cousin warned me against dashing the police anything even if its #5, cos they don't deserve it. |

WebSurfer: I MET A SIMILAR CASE DURING THE EBOLA PERIOD, THOUGH I WAS SCARED AS THE VICTIM WAS A COMPLETE STRANGER BUT I HAD NO CHANCE THAN TAKE THE RISK SINCE SHE WAS PREGNANT AND COLLAPSING BY THE ROADSIDE JUST VERY LATE AROUND 8-9PM, EVENTUALLY EVEN AFTER THAT, HOSPITALS, DOCTORS, NURSES SURPRISED ME, IT WAS FINALLY A FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTER WHO ACCEPTED AND ATTENDED TO US AFTER BEING REJECTED REPEATEDLY BY OTHERS, MAY GOD HELP US NIGERIANS Thank God people now realise the difference between private & public hospital doctors. We have been vindicated. You should know the main aim of a private hospital is to make money and they're in their right to do that, so if there's any govt hospital around better take them there instantly than wasting your time in a private hospital cos if I'm also the doctor there I won't attend to you until you pay! You don't expect me to lose my job cos of you. Ppl should know how things work. |
