Oga as at now,as in 2018...Most married men do not go through any damned stress of providing anything!!!...in Nigeria!!.I have countless real life experiences of married people around me,both colleagues and family members..

99% of the women in the aforementioned marriages contribut at least 60% of the financial burden in the home...I have heard an earful with complaints from them on how their husbands are not bringing in much financially...

They do all the house chores,cook,take care of the kids,work and bring in more money than their husbands.Most married women will not open up to you about the stress they are going through in other to 'cover their husbands unclothedness'..but the mega stress is Real!!!!...And the men very ungrateful and difficult.

I really wonder if you'd have said this if it was the other way round...

That's d issue with women, they're just chitchat chatterboxes who will stop at nothing to ensure the world knows they contribute 60% to the family income, but will make sure they shut the man up when he starts contributing 100% later in life by always reminding him and the world when she was always there for him, as if she quietly carried their whole world on her shoulders alone.

Let everyone do as they please and live and let live abeg.

Personally marriage is the last and the least of my concerns. I can't even imagine one woman coming to claim sole partnership of the sweat I toiled all alone to get when they were nowhere to be found. Women can do the same too and stop disturbing our ears with all this 60% talk, nobody forced anybody.

I'll enjoy my money with as much women as I please and have children with as many women of my choosing. Let women do as they choose too.

it is not just nigerian men. it is society in general due to our culture. we don't like exceptions /outliers. I have a colleague who is in her early forties and is nasty/mean to everyone.

My other female colleagues thinks she is frustrated about not being married. I say she has an inherent nasty personality. They say they are women and i dont know how women think.

Another point. The worst thing that has happened to mankind is people gifted with right of perspective.

The thing is not to say it but help her instead.

Actions speak louder than words. We're fond of pointing out the wrong in others as you eagerly and excitedly wanna do. However majority of people actually know their wrongs already and don't need you to point it out again, it can be quite annoying & irritating.

Don't point out, help the person lose weight without even saying what you're tryna do, and the person will get the jist and love you more. The person will also be encouraged to fight the weight gain with you.

Never talk, never point out, they already know so you're kind of adding up to their misery, smearing wound with hot spices by doing that.

Just help her shikena.

For example you can refuse her buying sugary stuffs like soft drinks, ice creams, chocolates etc when both of you are together. If she asks why, NEVER tell her the real reason, simply say you don't want her eating such unhealthy stuffs, she'll get the message and cooperate.

Encourage her for a jogging session but don't force her to go for it....Let it all be fun for her and you'll see her indulge and perhaps even take it up personally.

Ask her how she feels occasionally , encourage and convince her to be totally straightfoward with you in a heart to heart manner. Girls can be severely depressed and still keep a pretty face, being men attracted to pretty faces, we might not detect and let it slide and sometimes depression make people indulge in binge eating habits resulting in obesity. Try to make her happy. Truly happy. Most truly happy & excited people rarely get overweight I tell you, cos they rarely have time to indulge in such bad eating habits, their lives is too funfilled for all that crap believe me.

The solution is to ACT, cos we Africans are so used to pointing fingers which only worsens and deepens the problem one faces.
