kaboninc: For god's sake, Oga cash can be carried around for very legitimate business in any form. Suitcases or tankers.
The most important thing is that it is a legitimate business transaction. Electronic transfers are preferred to check mate illicit flows of cash; after all I could funnel funds through legitmste means for an illegitimate business transaction. Kabonic! Kabonic!! Kabonic!!! how many times did i call you?? Don't descend into the idiocy that runs rampant on this site. How does that guys response and this your response relate to my first response to the OP? Go back to that post which you also quoted earlier and see why that the guy whom you're supporting is nothing but a dunce |

kaboninc: Was the money "looted"?
What was the source of the fund?
Were they budgeted security wide votes?
Were the actually given to PDP members? Do you have proofs?
One thing we must understand is that under very serious circumstances, certain actions will be taken. So using cash to buy weapons under difficult circumstances can be excused. Why not go ahead and give the answers my friend?? Was the money "looted"? What was the source of the fund? Were they budgeted security wide votes? I'm sure you also know and realise that under very serious and fraudulent circumstances, the NSA's office can be converted to directorate of finance of a presidential election hiding under the cover of ''procuring weapons to prosecute a war"? |

MizMyColi: Hehehehe
You lot see women as feeble and emotional even my font type looks emotional, so I'm not surprised that you can't reason beyond that to see that I've asked Valid and Commensensical questions.
As for the scandals rocking certain individuals in our polity, they remain innocent until proven guilty and jailed through a competent court of law. That said, I believe that some of these funds you lot term looted weren't looted actually... But due to leadership decisions by Jonathan which maybe buhari in his thoughts thinks inadequate, he will term same fraud... Leaders make decisions especially when under threat security wise...without waiting for house appropriation...(the clandestine purchase of arms and weaponry come to mind). So legally Dasuki can pass on...but because Buhari wants him down, so he may find it difficult. I believe some money was stolen but it is far below the figures they are taunting around Btw, why is that stories like this come up whenever there's an economic mess coming up... So APC can use it to shield themselves from blame? And to divert attention? What if the aim of all this is for APC to make PDP look bad? Aren't we all playing into their game if we appear self-defeatist? That's it exactly!! Make PDP the fall guy...when as a matter of fact, there are worse shameless looters in APC masquerading as Navigators, Ministers and Chieftains. In governance, decision taking whether right or wrong isn't a crime. Whatever decision taken by Jonathan was for Nigeria interest no matter how flawed it may appear. Not taking decision at all is what is a crime. That's why Jonathan can not go to jail unless under some unscrupulous script by VERY HIGHLY powerful beings greater than him, including Okonjo Iweala.
That said, I will shave all my eyebrows, go without make up for days, and plait irun kiko on my head AND apologise profusely if Buhari prosecutes the likes of Tinubu, OBJ and Amaechi. There you go again...what has being female got to do with the emotional basis of your thread?? Remember you and i went down this road some few days ago when you opened a similar thread asking for where Buhari kept N334B you believed he skimmed off the N713.7B bailout money?? Of course you and i eventually arrived at the same conclusion: BUHARI DIDN'T STEAL ANYTHING FROM THE BAILOUT MONEY. I advised you then to always exercise patience in situations like this. During the era of Idi Amin Dada in Uganda, They had an economic crises with inflation at 700%. You know what Idi Amin's order was to the Central bank governor? PRINT MORE CASH!!. And of course printing more cash without the economic fundamentals to back it up leads to gross distortion in the fiscal and monetary environment of a nation. The problem with the GEJ govt isn't just the looting. They looted under OBJ too. It wasn't improper handling of security votes....every politician does that. the most damaging feature of the GEJ years was the MINDLESSNESS with which they did their looting without regard for it's effect on our monetary policy or fiscal well being. Dasuki woke up one day and requested $47M CASH and Emefiele simply created an expense head for it in CBN and voila....the cash was delivered. How was that sum factored into the cash in circulation at that time? Dasuki came again and said he needed N10B for party faithfuls and Emefiele obliged. What damage do you think that did to whatever monetary policy was in place at that time? All these at a time when GEJ ANNOUNCED THAT HE WAS INSTITUTING TECHNOLOGY THAT WOULD ENSURE THAT THE YAMS ARE SEPARATED FROM THE GOATS!!? I don't know how true, but my former colleague who is now a zonal operations head at one of the banks in abuja said they ran out of dollars some weeks to the elections because of excess mopping up. The last time we had such was under Abacha with ISMAILA GWARZO, the then NSA but even at that, it wasn't this much and Abacha as wicked as he was ensured only a select few had access to the yams then. GEJ your hero gave every willing goats duplicate keys to the barn so much so that they ran out of names to use that Bafarawa tagged his own ''for spiritual purposes". They didn't even need to come ask him anymore. Just go there and collect your own. I'm not happy with the current govt. I believe they are slow. I want things to move at a faster pace but it's only someone with his/her head too deep into his/her ass that will expect any miracle with oil, our only source of FX, down to 25% of its value of a year ago. This budget was drawn on the basis of $65/barrel. Can you tell me how much oil is being sold now? Has Buhari drawn up his own budget? You guys, especially you, have your minds made up and are only too happy to see things go worse. So i'm sure you celebrate when you queue for 5 hours to buy fuel or when you buy it at N150 if you don't like to queue while conveniently forgetting that part of the subsidy paid last week was arrears from August 2014. In as much as i'm not happy with the pace, I'LL FOREVER BE HAPPY AND PROUD THAT I WAS PART OF THOSE WHO HELPED PUSH OUT A MAN WHO WAS TOO WEAK AND TOO TIMID TO STOP HIS FRIENDS AND SUBORDINATES FROM MESSING UP HIS GOVT.It wasn't his fault anyway....Na OBJ Satan go punish for forcing him on the sick Yar'adua. my write up is long....i hope you take the time to read it. cheers |

MizMyColi: I don't think this is an entirely good idea. Don't worry about whether it's a good idea or not... IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. GEJ will never step into Aso Rock on his own volition even if we all beg him to come back. I'm sure he now realises he could have been wasted by his friends like Dasuki, Dokpesi etc if he didn't leave the ATM free for them |

Jakumo: Now there is a thought ha ha. Well then, to dispel the notion that a dastardly impostor has commandeered my Nairaland account, I hereby declare before this court and with full authority that "Ayam who Ayam, and NOT who Ayam not."
Returning to the here and now, it is indeed a surreal experience to read almost daily news reports describing how Nigerian treasury looters, long revered as un-touchable local celebritiies, are, as we speak, in the proces of being rounded up like so many heads of cattle ready for conversion into fresh meat.
The mass heamorrage of government funds into private pockets will quickly stifle national growth no matter the intentions of any administration, so the most recent crop of parasitic kleptomaniacs responsible for draining state and federal treasuries MUST be encouraged to refund ALL they have stolen, before being sent to prison to serve out hard labor time for grand larceny involving public finances. By this simple expedient, billions of national development dollars will accrue to the government literally overnight, thanks to filthy rich embezzlers from past administrations FINALLY being held accountable, AND made to cough up ALL they have stolen from the public purse.
Just watch and learn, as El Presidente busts a move on those treaury-looting muffugus, and sends them ALL up chit creek without a paddle.
The best is yet to come. Well....what more can i say? Cheers bro and God bless you |
Politics › Clean Sweep As Court Of Appeal Sacks 3 Rivers Senators, 12 House Of Reps Members by theV0ice(op): 8:23pm On Dec 12, 2015 |
It was a tsunami of sort for the Rivers State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party on Friday as Abuja division of Court of Appeal in a judgment delivered late into the night sacked two senators and seven House of Representatives members elected on the platform of the party in the 2015 general elections.
The Court had kicked off the series of judgments, 14 in all, including some cross appeals on Friday afternoon with the sack of two senators – Osinakachukwu Idoezu (Rivers South-West Senatorial District) and John Olaka-Nwogo (Rivers South-East) based on petitions by their All Progressives Congress, APC challengers in the election.
In the unanimous decision of the three man panel read by Justice Ali Gumel, the Appellate Court voided the elections of the two senators based on what the Justices described as failure of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to comply substantially with the provisions of the Electoral Act and other guidelines for the March 28, 2015 National Assembly Election in the conduct of the polls.
Justice Gumel noted that key elements of the voting process like accreditation of voters, use of card reader machines, voters’ register and other election guidelines in majority of the voting centres, were not adhered to, an action which he said led to manipulations of the process.
He therefore ruled that the elections were conducted without adherence to set guidelines and therefore cannot stand in the face of the law.
The Judge particularly censored INEC for what it described as its failure to ensure strict adherence to the guidelines it set out for the election such as use of card reader.
In a series of abridged rulings for lack of time to read the full judgments, the Justices also annulled the election of Boma Goodhead, the member representing Asari Toru/Akuku Toru Federal Constituency, Hon. Ken Chikere (PDP) Port Harcourt I Federal constituency election, Randolf Brown for Bonny/Degema Federal Constituency, Dum Deekor of Tai/Eleme/Oyigbo Federal Constituency, Betty Apiafi Ahoada East/Abua Federal Constituency, Awaji Inombek Abiante of Andoni/Opobo/Nkoro federal constituency and Dimnamene Deekor of Khana/Gokhana federal constituency.
However, while the three Justices of the Court were unanimous in the decision to annul the elections of six of the representatives, the voiding of the election of Honourable Betty Apiafi was a split 2:1 decision, with Justice Nonyerem Okoronkwo reading a minority judgment in which he disagreed with his two colleagues.
Contrary to the assertions of his colleagues in the majority judgment, Justice Okoronkwo said the petitioner failed to prove his assertions that Ahoada East/Abua federal constituency election was marred by malpractices, violence and wrongful allocation of votes. He therefore held that elections held in the constituency and Rep Apiafi was properly elected.
The same court had earlier on Thursday nullified the election of Blessng Nsiegbe of Port Harcourt federal constituency II, Kingsley Chinda of Obio Akpor Federal Constituency, Boniface Emerangwa of Ikwerre/ Emohua Federal Constituency, Bright Gogo Tamuno of Okrika/Ogu/Bolo Federal Constituency, and Hon. Jerome Eke of Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency.
With the sack of his 12 colleagues, Uche Nnam Obi of Ahoada West//Egbeama/Ndoni Federal Constituency elected on the platform of PDP is the only surviving representatives of Rivers State in the House of Representatives. The court also ordered rerun elections to be conducted into the now vacant senatorial and House of Representatives seats with 60 days. http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/12/12/clean-sweep-as-court-of-appeal-sacks-3-rivers-senators-12-house-of-reps-members/ |
Politics › Re: Niger Delta Militant Tompolo Decries EFCC Invitation. by theV0ice: 7:25pm On Dec 12, 2015 |
dockokwus: Is there any link btw u suing an agency against blocking your account and u being invited to answer for an alleged land fraud/scam? People trivialize serious issues in this country. What u should ask again is when tompolo inherited that vast expanse of land he sold,is he authorized even if he inherited it by other parties to sell and was it a proper price to pay by the govt? It's easy to use the d current defence of persecution to distract from weighty allegations because that's the commonest excuse to win some sympathy from gullible followers these days. But enlightened people by their privilege of being enlightened must look beyond this cheap blackmail tactics and query the facts of the substantive allegations. The only point that needs introspection and to which the PMB govt must be tasked is that apart from Saraki, who even seems to be getting some soft handling from the govt, why is it that it's only PDP members that are getting all these invite, afterall, some APC members even decamped after its victory and benefitted or participated actively in some of d scams now being revealed, so y do they now appear to either be saints or untouchables? This is d only aspect that is unacceptable, otherwise, every invitee must report and answer questions of their actions. Are you OK with the EFCC ignoring the court summons? When was Tompolo's suit filed and when was he invited by EFCC? If his suit came before the EFCC invitation as I believe it did, then EFCC being a law enforcement agency erred. He wasn't at the court to challenge their right to question him. He went there cos his accounts were frozen. I support EFCC freezing the accounts but honouring the court summons won't kill them and I'm sure the judge would have agreed with them. I'm not saying Tompolo is innocent or he shouldn't heed the EFCC invitation but I believe they should also learn to do things in a more orderly manner that reflects respect for the rule of law |
Politics › Re: Niger Delta Militant Tompolo Decries EFCC Invitation. by theV0ice: 6:42pm On Dec 12, 2015 |
dockokwus: U are more enlightened than this to bliv this cheap blackmail from tompolo. What u shud ask is if what he is being invited to answer for is anyway related to the court case he has against efcc. It might be a blackmail but if its true that EFCC ignored a court summons on his suit since October, then its bad. Why didn't EFCC go there and thrash out the case? As far as I see, it wasn't a suit seeking an interlocutory injunction to stop an investigation or prosecution. On the Bayelsa issue, I believe if PMB is the one to choose, he would never vote for Sylva but I can't say the same for the other APC big wigs starting from Tinubu. Sylva is bad market and I'm happy he was rejected. |
