Is that company going to be using crude oil from ND yes or no?
No...the company WON'T BE USING crude from ND because it's not a refinery, petrochemical plant or gas plant. It's unfortunate and hilarious that you don't know yet you've been hyperventilating since morning.

If no, fine build it in lagos. If yes, then they either should build it in ND or go and dig oil in lagos and build it there.
Of course they've built it in lagos and even if you wish, your angry strokes on your keyboard won't interfere with the progress they're making in lagos.

The worst you can do is rant......which is what you're doing now

the rest of your ranting, I don't care much about it
You can't care even if you tried since you have no single idea about what is being discussed. Imagine you asking if they'll be using crude from the ND cheesy

Next time you wish to come rant on a public forum, the least you can do is use Google to update yourself so you don't come display gross ignorance in public.

i don't want to believe a sane person said the below

In the case of Chukwuemeka Ezeuko (Rev. King), the group argued that he is being persecuted in Nigeria because he is an Igboman.

“His trial was quickly rushed without fair hearing just to maintain a groups’ interest of Yoruba Pentecostal Christian leadership who saw Rev. king as an obstacle to their domination of Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria”, MASSOB insisted

Your welcome.

Don't divert from my main view which is there in my first post, where mr Omare said that from" henceforth any oil company that wish to continue exploring from the Niger delta have to establish in that region" which I see as the bone of contention and also the best for the region .
I won't quarell with what they decide to do henceforth as long as they don't try to go the boko haram way. We all saw what that resulted into for the north east and remember.....nothing burns like crude.....

What Asari got is so little compared to what other people have taken from the region on in the name of playing 'Nigeria'
So Asari etc are free to be prodigal with what they made because its not upto what others made? What kind of logic is this?

I believe you're a Christian sis? Jesus said he who is unfaithful in little will not be faithful in much. Even if you hand Asari and his friends the keys to the Nigerian vault, they won't do better.

Anytime gej opponents make this point,no matter fanatical u are about supporting gej ,u just have let down ur guard , because this reason cannot be faulted . Everything gej was accused of not doing in 6years ,he almost within 8 weeks completed it . The million dollar sensible question then is “why did he have to wait soo long to do the right thing?”.
God bless you for your candour and honesty. No sensible person will wish the ND not to get all they can from the oil in their backyard but how do you explain a situation where an ND son who claims he didn't have shoes got promoted to the highest office in the land by acts of fate only to get there and get preoccupied solely with working towards getting a 2nd term?

If he had spent the resources, goodwill and energy he expended on his 2nd term bid on developing the ND, the ND would have been Dubai now.

Gej was simply interested in feathering his own nest. Those who regard him a hero should go ask him for the goodies he brought back from his 5 year adventure.

He doesn't feel safe building it in the Niger-Delta. Why. Because of agitation. What causes agitation....the likes of what he is doing. The government is trying to break up that viscious cycle, you give reasons for it to continue. This country just doesn't have a future, yet.
No. What should cause sensible agitation is what Asari dokubo did and is still doing: making billions in the name of the Niger delta struggle and using it to go create jobs in a foreign country.

Even if he had sited his investment in Lagos like LADOL, ND youths would have been employed but he obviously doesn't think so much of his kith and kin, why then do you blame a stranger for neglecting your region when you can't caution your own son?

If gej was remotely interested in breaking a vicious cycle, he would have encouraged this project to be relocated to bayelsa since 5 years ago. If he was interested in breaking the vicious cycle, he would have mandated Asari, Tompolo, Boyloaf etc to utilise the billions he's giving them to do something similar in the ND, not using executive fiat to push a private investor into debt in a bid to soften the hostile reception he deserves from his people for sleeping for 5 years on the seat of authority. Or you think its beans to relocate such a gigantic project? Who will bear the cost?

But of course he's simply the ND version of the Kaduna mafia we all accuse of selfish born to rule mentality

You're right it is tight thinking to put it there but why did it take gej 5 years to realise he could encourage an investment project in his home state?

Also do you know how many Julius Berger workers were kidnapped before they abandoned the east west road? These are issues that a right thinking investor puts into consideration before committing millions of dollars to a project

Forget about all these people shouting corruption, corruption without proof.

Today, one riff-raff wakes up and allege about a certain billion or trillion missing. So, the only case the Prof could point to is the 225m Oduah case but he has forgotten Fashola's two bullet-proof range rovers actually cost more. He will not talk about those ones.

Nigeria's corruption ranking actually improved under Jonathan according to the last Transparency International ranking. I will rather beleive Transparency International who are experts in assesing corruption than all these APC apologists shouting corruption corruption about
In the release Reuben Abati gave, Jonathan was actually competing against himself. See the progression under Jonathan
2010-------------134
2011-------------143
2012-------------139
2013-------------144
2014-------------136

under Yaradua, see the results
2007-------------147
2008-------------121
2009-------------130

Yar'adua reduced it from what he met it at under OBJ govt and brought it down to 121 and GEJ government took it to 144 before dropping it at 136. I dare say the ranking for 2009 dropped because Yar'adua fell ill and had to leave govt to the hawks.

If fashola bought such, then he did worse than Oduah and he has no excuse. We expect the GMB govt to change the perception just like Yar'adua did. The fact that a corrupt election even brought him in didn't stop him from trying to chart a new course before the cold hands of death took him.

That's his decision to build or not to as it is not limited to him alone because I can name countless Nigerians who have their investments established outside Nigeria.
We are talking about N/D vs Nigeria and not the other way round.
Wonder why people are fast to mention asari as if he is the only man that put a structure outside this country?
Bro if most individuals should bring their well established businesses home, believe me you won't see youths roaming the street worthlessly.
Like i said earlier is not between Asari and Nigeria but a whole N/D region vs Nigeria.
And am not by any means supporting him for that act of his but want to concentrate more on the importance of the message.
@the bold, don't you think it's also Mr Jadesinmi's prerogative to site his investment in an environment where he feels it's safe and better for his operations? remember he's a private citizen and the FG didn't give him a dime to establish it.

before LADOL was set up, Oil companies used to send these projects outside Nigeria. Is Lagos not closer to you in the ND than taking the project to say a place like Aberdeen or Florence? What i expected GEJ to do is encourage the young ND guys he's empowered financially to set up something similar in bayelsa then get the oil majors to give them some of the contracts that emanate from the industry from time to time. I'll be very surprised if no ND youth works at LADOL which is 1000 times better than the Asari example i used.

Not asking a man to move his life's work at a whim just to tell your people you remember them when he was on sleeping and dulling mood for the 5 years of his presidency.

Asari like a lot of other Nigerians have businesses abroad like you said which is why we shouldn't frustrate a Nigerian who sites his investment in Nigeria even if it's not in the ND

Thanks for your civility by the way wink

I like the part omare said " henceforth any oil company that does not have their oil company in N/D would not be allowed to operate in their region" now this is what I call taking the bull by the horn.

One will simply imagine how a region is creating wealth and it is being enjoyed by the "sophisticated" and the "born to rule" mentality.
To enlighten you come to south south most of the oil companies there are being managed by the "sophisticated" whereas the youths and the owners of the oil begg's to be employed.
So much injustice perpetrated in this country called one Nigeria.
Some folks claim they fought for the liberation of the ND e.g Asari Dokubo. How much has he expended to free the region from poverty utilizing the billions he makes from the mega deal he got from the FG in the process?

Charity begins at home you know? how many youths has he empowered? what businesses has he created in the ND to facilitate employment? or is Benin republic a part of the ND that he has his businesses there?

If folks like him don't invest in the ND, who should?
PoliticsRe: Oil Platform Fabrication: Ijaw Youths Draw Battle Line by theV0ice: 2:30am On May 18, 2015
nonaira:
I have to agree with them. How can you build a company in lagos yet everything that company would be fabricating is coming from ND.

The injustice in thatc country is becoming ridiculous
Everything the company is fabricating isn't coming FROM the ND, rather they are coming TO the ND. The company isn't even created only for projects in the ND.....it's meant to serve the african market as the continent lacks ready availability of such a project.

Also, it's nobody's fault that Asari sees Benin republic as a better destination for the money he gets paid from the ND. If a son of the soil who claims to fight for the region doesn't think his businesses are safe in the region, why blame the non indigene of the ND who refuses to bring his investment down there?

The project is for profit, not for charity or decoration. Tell Asari, Tompolo, Ateke, Boyloaf etc to show the way by starting the investment boom with the money they're making daily from the region. If they don't love their region enough, who should?

Well better no investment in nigeria as a whole but any new investment in the oil and gas industry of nigeria outside of the ND is at major and verifiable risk when the time comes to position it or use it in the ND SIMPLICITA.
THE WAYO DON DO.SAY WE NO TALK NO MEAN SAY WE BE MUGU.NO BE SAY WE NO GO SCHOOL NO BE SAY WE NO NO BOOK.

THAT REFINERY IF IT GETS BUILT IN LAGOS HAD BETTER BUY CRUDE FROM THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET OUTSIDE OF THE NIGER DELTA.EXCEPT THEY HIT CRUDE IN LAGOS THEN GOOD FOR THEM.

If the fools had left it in ondo as originally conceived we would not have said a word ,but in keeping with their sense of entitlement they sabotaged that and diverted it to lagos.
We are waiting......
Of course, why not?? what's the big deal about buying oil from outside to refine?? what is the big deal? are we alien to importation? even Oshiomhole had to import a wife as recently as last friday cool so why can't Dangote import the crude his refinery needs?

after all we've been using imported fuel to run Nigeria for plenty years now and even getting defrauded by the gej government created cabal in the process so why can't we get a step further by importing the crude to refine here?

Dangote refinery will even buy the crude off the militants that steal it everyday....400,000 barrels of stolen crude will be enough to feed the plant.

GEJ decides to force a PRIVATE project conceived in 2003 to bayelsa 2 weeks to the end of his tenure and you want the promoters to keep quiet? was he on Valium 5 overdose for the past 5 years of his kindergarten presidency? (apologies to Prof David-West)

why didn't he do it earlier? why the last minute desperation? to show his people he didn't forget them? To buy himself a hero's welcome?
