He doesn't have to be. He doesn't even like plenty of the APC people

Buhari must have chosen him based on their past personal history

I asked you that question because you said it seems that statement only favours PDP.
why would any Imo person keep saying Rochas should be pushed out simply because he is in APC if they actually believe that Imolites don't vote parties but personalities?

why tag him a traitor? traitor to what?
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Says Imo Supplementary Election Unnecessary; Claims Victory by theV0ice: 2:13pm On Apr 13, 2015
Nashoji:
I'm from IMO state, obowo to be precise. can you tell me what party ohakim was in the time we voted him out and can you also tell me the party rochas was in the time we voted him in. people voting for rochas in IMO state is not because of his party, is because of his personality.
thats why i was surprised at the Imo is PDP statement if parties don't matter but personalities

@phillips70. For a truth Buhari did not win that election. Jonathan just allowed him to come in and disgrace himself so that he can go home with his terror boys permanently. It's obvious that Jega rigged the elections massively in favour of APC what with the skewed PVC distribution, the obviously programmed -to-fail card readers deployed to the SE/SS and the funny figures from Kano, Jigawa, Katsina and Kaduna states occasioned by massive under-aged voting and total abandonment of the use of card readers for accreditation. What Jega did wasn't hidden and I know his conscience if he has one will haunt him till his last day on earth for betraying a man who changed his life for better forever.
Stop lying. let your brother school you here

Collynzo9:
I don't know why you guys took what Okorocha said as fact, the tone of his statement showed that he was only making an assumption.
Imo state had a 96% PVC collection rate, I don't think that of the concerned areas will be much lower than the state average!
even with postponement, how many SW state got up to 80% PVC distribution?

Jega can rig people that accept Buhari, igbos are not one of them.

Rig Imo and cancel the whole election. Just get greedy!
I have no problem with that my friend. They should relocate all the resident commissioners in Nigeria to Imo state for the supplementary election to ensure fairness.

may the best man win

waternogetemeny:
Jega and his Inec rigging team must not rig Imo State. Okorocha obviously have lost in Imo and that was why they cancel so many votes to cheat PDP.

Jega has rigged almost all the states in this election but will be exposed, if he tries any nonsense in Imo State.

Imo state traditionally is a PDP State.
some have been saying Igbos and particularly Imolites don't vote for parties but individuals??

Is it only individuals in PDP that that statement covers?? wink

PoliticsRe: Okorocha Says Imo Supplementary Election Unnecessary; Claims Victory by theV0ice:

Okorocha's argument is very spot on.

It is the number of PVC's collected that should be considered in arriving at a decision on whether a rerun is required in the affected LG or not.

If PVC's collected is less than the gap between him and Iheodia, there is no point in wasting resources for another election there.

Even by considering the registered voters, you do not expect a 70% turnout on election date and it is also save to say that Okorocha will get at least 50% of the votes in the LG affected since it is his stronghold area.

No how you spin this, APC's Okorocha has won this election.
remember we have magicians in PDP??

Just wait....let's see the witch doctors spin something out wink

I think the whole amnesty idea was a mistake on the part of Yar'adua (of blessed memory). The question is for how long will the FG continue to splash money on the militants? What I believe is needed in the Niger Delta is very meaningful development that will be visible for all to see. I aslo think the people of the Niger Delta should demand more from their leaders, they receive so much yet have little to show for all they get.
i agree fully with this.
PoliticsRe: Beware Of Those Dumping Pdp For Apc, Umar Cautions Buhari by theV0ice(op): 8:41am On Apr 13, 2015
For those who might be too young to know Umar, below is the little i know about him

He's the brave blue blood from Kebbi who though a diehard IBB boy, looked IBB in the face and told him he was wrong on the case of the annulment of June 12 1993 elections. He was military governor of Kaduna state and is reputed to have made the statement "I can follow IBB to war blindfolded" to show how much he believed in IBB as a general.

He lost his commission because he refused to support the annulnent or Abacha's takeover of govt instead of handing over to MKO. Rumour has it that he would have been killed if not because he was of high noble birth (His father was the Wazirin Gwandu and a member of the parliament of the northern regional govt). All these despite his famed dislike of MKO whom he viewed as arrogant but he insisted justice and fairplay demanded MKO be sworn in even if he was a devil

He left the Army and government unceremoniously, a simple man without money or scandal. The last I heard of him is that he was into poultry farming. I think gej offered him chairmanship of one probe committee in 2011 but umar declined.
PoliticsBeware Of Those Dumping Pdp For Apc, Umar Cautions Buhari by theV0ice(op): 8:32am On Apr 13, 2015
ABUJA—FORMER Military Governor of Kaduna State, Colonel Abubakar Umar (retd) yesterday urged the President- elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, retd to be mindful of those he described as mere fair weather friends as he takes over governance in May 29.

In a statement issued yesterday, Umar also urged Buhari to ignore what he described as the treacherous actions of those opportunists who were presently dumping the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the All Progressives Congress, APC barely two weeks after the Presidential election.

The former military also assured President Goodluck Jonathan of his unalloyed loyalty and “steadfast” friendship as he prepares to face life outside power.

According to Colonel Umar in his statement, “A famous political scientist once warned that”the career of a politician is too uncertain to make any firm commitment to him. “Although I find this warning immoral and distasteful it truly represents the attitude and behavioural pattern of most of the so called friends and loyalists of men in power. Most are mere fair weather friends.

“Come 29th May 2015 President Jonathan will handover power to the winner of the 28th March 2015 Presidential election Gen Muhammadu Buhari. With this seeming loss of political power he will also lose a large retinue of friends and loyalists; people who would swear by his name a couple of weeks ago. The President like most of his predecessors will suffer the pain of betrayal.

“I however assure him that there are still genuine friends who will be by him through life’s challenges out of power.

“I also wish to advise him to ignore the treacherous actions of those opportunists who are decamping from his party, the PDP to APC at this late hour. These are people who will not hesitate to renounce God in their pursuit of ephemeral worldly power. They are worthless and a great embarrassment to decent people and bad role models to future generations.

“Let me use this opportunity to dispel the wicked rumour that my closeness with President Jonathan has always been on account of some material favours he extended to me. Nothing can be further from the truth.

”I swear and affirm that I have never, directly or indirectly, been awarded an oil or non – oil contract by President Jonathan or his Government , as evidence will prove later. What I received and cherish above all is tremendous respect from the President. I intend to expatiate on this in due course.

“Let me also express my respect and admiration for President Jonathan’s nationalistic and altruistic decision to concede and congratulate the winner even before the final results were officially announced. The President behaved like the statesman I have always known him to be, thereby saving the country assured implosion had he behaved otherwise.”
