PoliticsRe: Gmb's Candidacy: Where Are The Northern Voices -samuel Ajayi by theV0ice: 11:16pm On Mar 12, 2015
joeyfire:
TINUBU’S HIDDEN AGENDA; SAMUEL AJAYI

WHERE ARE NORTHERN VOICES? As media practitioners and consultants, we used to do one thing while analysing national issues: who is commenting and who is not. What are they saying, what are they not The aim is to see if an issue initially presented as a national one is actually an ethnic agenda. It is in this context that I have been doing an analysis of the Buhari presidential challenge and I asked: WHERE ARE NORTHERN VOICES? It has been a 'research' I have been doing since January till this year. Granted that Buhari campaigned in the North and pulled massive crowds but where are Northern opinion leaders?

On mainstream and social media, the vehemence of the Buhari push is being spear- headed by Yorubas! In all his official engagements, within and outside the country, check the pictures: you wont find a Northerner behind him.The odd men out apart from South- westerners are John Oyegun and Rotimi Amaechi. Yet you see Tinubu, Fashola, Fayemi, Amosun, Lai Mohammed, Mamora and co. I may be proved wrong, but only once have I seen Tambuwal in photo with Buhari! Kwankwaso has quietly withdrawn himself! Atiku hardly talks even when his boy runs Buhari's media organ of the campaign. Wammako, Shettima, el-Rufai don't talk. While Obasanjo is talking every day, Babangida, Abdusalami, Ciroma, Coomasie, Lawal Kaita hardly say anything. Is there something going on?

I spoke with a Northern senior friend of mine from Sokoto State who used to head a federal government electronic media arm on why the North is not giving the general the media and moral support required, here are his words: "We want power to return to the North but it seems you Yorubas have a hidden agenda with the way your people are pushing Buhari and turning it into a Yoruba crusade." I prodded him further but he politely declined to say more. I continued this 'research' on Facebook. Whenever someone posts a pro- Buhari or anti-GEJ material, I also usually do a demographic analysis of 'likes' and comments and again, I discovered that it is mostly 75-80% Yoruba thing.

Even the Remove-Jega- don't-remove-Jega campaign is PURELY a South-west 'headache'. If you doubt, do your own media survey. Does it mean the feelers are true that most Northern leaders are uncomfortable with the way Tinubu has 'approximated' the change 'struggle'? Are they aware of any agenda some of us are not? I asked these questions because no matter the noise we are making here, high-wire, high stake politicking is going on at the highest level.
grin grin grin

If you're so sure the north isn't with GMB and the hausa/fulani who were recently insulted as born-throway by PEJ will vote GEJ, why then are you bothering with this long epistle? Why not just give this assurance to GEJ so he can go back to his abandoned presidential duties in abuja and stop his daily pilgrimage to Yorubaland for prayers, initiations, rituals and what-have-you? i mean there should be no need for all this his sweating in some covens in the SW cheesy

Of course you can't because you sure don't believe the tales by moonlight you just posted wink

If the man who wrote that is truly a yoruba, he would remember that the SW is always in the forefront of every struggle against injustice in this country. Every popular movement in this country has been spearheaded by the SW so it shouldn't be surprising that the GMB charge too is being pushed mainly by the SW but remember.....an hausa/fulani cattle rearer won't be found on facebook. You'll see him in the savannah with his transistor radio in his left hand, sanda in his right and his PVC in his pocket. he has no use for twitter or clicking likes on NL grin.

He'll meet you on March 28th and then you'll know exactly how he feels about GMB and GEJ+PEJ wink

If GMB loses fairly, no problem. That would be democracy in action

How much more of our lean resources have been expended on such?

LOL. I thought they said Buhari is a religious bigot and an Islamist? Does this mean he's no more any of these and now a supporter of gayism and westernization?
Can PDP please stop this joke already. Anybody with a sound mind can read through the lines and see that they are just cooking up baseless stories against the General, on the contrary it seems they almost admire the man.
Fellow Nigerians, Good governance is not rocket science like GEJ & PDP make it look. It only takes someone who has a social conscience to be the leader and we will see CHANGES.

A man you accused of Fundamentalism, a man you claimed would Islamize Nigeria by implementing sharia if elected, you now accused has agreed to sign a gay law, talk of contradictory accusations, Smh…

The Pdp is desperate and very confused, thus vomiting senselessly any time they make a public talk. The head is clueless after all.
Infact you have to wonder.....the somersaults of the PDP over this Buhari matter calls for serious concern.

How low can they go?

You accuse someone of being BH and ISIL, Then you accuse him again of planning with the great Satan (USA) to promote homosexuality?? Talk of confusion from desperation.

Honestly am a good Nigerian Citizen but in my short 20 years on earth as a Nigerian i have learnt
to be wary of how i help people to the hospital.
First time i ever had a problem with giving help was 5 years ago when i was 15, i was on my way from school,
An accident occured in front of me and me and some of my friends went there to rescue the victims.
Being the only rich Kid among the others, I deposited my money to commence treatment on the two
people.
Only for me and my best friend Emmanuel to come the following morning to see how they are doing
and we where arrested for murder.
I was like WTF, One of them passed out, the other remained but he was unconscious,
Mumc did everything to set me and my friend free, but it was obvious the parents of the dead guy
where highly connected and wanted somebody to suffer for the death of their child.
Mum did all but nothing seemed to have worked. then the unconscious guy came back to life
and confessed we where only rescuers.
Well the family let the case die but policemen bailed me and my best friend at 30k each and mind you
we where still very much under aged.
second happened, last year we where rushing somebody that a hit and run driver knocked off and the
person died inside the car.
It was only my lawyer who had a senior advocate Of Nigeria friend that managed to set me free after
money don pass am plenty.
so my people can you guys now tell me why i shouldn't be snapping pics of an accident instead of helping
when its obvious if i help and anything happens, i stand to be charged a murderer.
Well truth is i aint that wicked though
these experiences of yours made me hate the NPF. Your case isn't isolated at all......

1. Bokoharam and 18 other terror groups pledging allegiance to Isis

They are propelled by the same ideology and wish to get identified with the group that is making the fastest and most strategic strides in their march towards their imagined 'utopia'. however, it's actually a power play with religion as a propelling force and disguise for their main intention which is world domination by Arabs of Sunni persuasion.

But then, it might just be a cry for help by Boko Haram especially, considering the losses they've been subjected to recently.

2. Netanyahu's speech to the congress and American people (Obama feels its a spite on him)

Netanyahu's appearance in the US congress and his speech which followed were meant to make life difficult for Obama in his push towards normalizing relations with Iran and i believe he achieved his aim with you affirming the republicans writing on the matter to the Iranians. the US-Israeli relationship has deteriorated in recent years since Obama came into the saddle and it will only become worse with that rousing speech by Netanyahu. for the records, I don't entirely agree with the speech

3. The near deadlock of Iran and the west negotiations on nuclear proliferations

I believe they'll arrive at a compromise no matter how unhelpful it will be to the US. This is because the US has gone too far now to draw back. Iran knows the US needs it now because of ISIS so they can afford to play the hard-to-get-bride. However, it'll be an agreement destined to be broken not too long hence either by the Americans or the Iranians

4. What is your take on changing tunes of global terrorism, extremism and fundamentalism

Is current military actions accross the globe, the way to go.

The world leaders should pay more attention to growing inequalities in the world. Poverty, Inequality and lack of fairness is playing into the hands of terrorists. even the rich kids who join these devils will readily cite the cases of discrimination and injustice against poor people(majorly Muslims) around the world as justification for fighting against the great satan and its allies.

The military actions must go on and as the world sincerely tackles the problems that feed this menace, we'll have less need to engage in warfare.

5. What is the consequence of nuclear war heads getting to the hand of Isis

END OF HUMANITY. There'll be no stopping the wheel when it starts.

6. what is your take on Obama's foreign policy. (The republicans have written an open letter to Iran stating that the agreement they are about to strike with Obama will not last

Unsure steps e.g Syria and the imaginary red line.

Also i don't know if he can unilaterally make a deal with the Iranians but if he has to be on the same page with congress, then it might just be DOA.

These are my own layman's views. i'll appreciate if the professors around can help with some more illumination wink

Poverty mentality and low self-esteem are behind every form of embezzlement. Treasury looters are generally low-lifers who believe ill-gotten wealth can readily substitute for personal development.

Buhari now comes to mind. Despite having opportunity to acquire oil-blocks for himself through proxies, he passed it over.

Such a man has no fear of poverty. He has transcended the need to accumulate wealth. The question then is why would I not trust this man to lead this great country in her hour of need?

Hear chief Olorunfemi

If you look at the period, 1976-1979, when he was Petroleum Commissioner; that was the period people started to acquire blocks. He must have looked at such things with disdain. He was the one to process it for them, yet he never got one for himself. He did not get a block or a petrol station, he was just a man that we could see, and I just could not understand him. He is a good manager.

We know about IBB, Danjuma etc oil blocks, yet none has been traced to GMB.
PoliticsRe: INEC card readers pass mock exam-----------PUNCH by theV0ice: 4:19pm On Mar 08, 2015
Too little, too irrelevant, too childish, too too late.

How does spending the past weeks in yorubaland translate to good governance for Nigerians? Are the Yoruba the only people in Nigeria? Ibadan people are being promised Ibadan state, ijebus are being enticed with ijebu state and even rumours of oduduwa state are surfacing. What about orashi state in rivers? And anioma state in delta? When the states we have now are even struggling to pay salaries? Like my neighbour said today "even a 2 year old knows all these promises are impossible to keep".

He's promising more juicy appointments to Yoruba and I'm forced to ask how Diezani's appointment has positively impacted her village when even otueke people have little to show for gej's accidental appearance in aso rock? How does a PHD think this way?

GEJ simply doesn't get it. No Yoruba oba can stop those who marched in lagos yesterday from voting their choice.

Tribal considerations in appointments won't stop the mass sack going on in banks. A revitalisation of the economy will. Someone should do us a favour by telling Mr i-will-do president this basic truth.
