Good news
Mind you, the first and second to comment are children of perdition, instead of having a positive change on their environment, instead, their environment has had a negative effect on them.
Nigeria is not a bad country, though we have bad people, especially from that drug infested region that comes to mind, But generally we are still warm and welcoming people.
Nigeria needs good PR to project the positive side of our people. That is exactly what America did with Hollywood even when crime rate was on an alarmy high and international corruption has eaten deep into their governance, they still portray a good image of America.
Good PR = Good Atmosphere = Good FDI = Job = Good life. |

Massiveglory: While the interior minister should be commended for this move, he must understand that visa on arrival is not a threat or war thing.
No nation will deny a fellow nation visa on arrival for no reason. I know of a certain tourist country in africa where visa on arrival was available until some months ago. Even to get the visa from their embassy as a Nigerian is a long thing. Right now they have joined Nigeria to countries like syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc. The visa on arrival is gone.
Upon all these , we are now having a leader that is a certified fraudster and identity confusionist. Mr minister, you know what that means. Quit all these aluta talks.
We need to tell ourselves the truth, do the needful and take our country to where it is supposed to be. You can't have a fraudster in power and expect nations to respect you. You don't have any truth in your stinking mouth. Can you not speak without adding "fraudster" or "Our leader" to it? Mr minister is speaking about diplomacy, you are here speaking beans... Countries like Colombian and Mexico who happens to be the higest exporter of coc**ne still enjoy a broader diplomacy benefit than Nigeria. Nigeria is not such a bad country as you make it look like, our people are hardworking and very enterprising, and they deserve good benefits for their contributions to other countries... |

MT: Wacky storyline. Nice visual effect.
Yorubas don't fight like Spartacus in war or in a fight challenge, the ending is so predictable and the story line is so tacky - A bad replica of "the woman king" movie.
Femi Adebayo, dressing like a roman king, which I found so alien - should not have acted that part - Chatta or Lalude could have been spot on.
Wars were fought like Romans army with swords. Yorubas used charms to fight in their wars.
All in all, for me:
Story Line - 20%
Visual Effect - 65%
Anikulapo movie still remains distant number 1. What do you even know about the Yorubas style of warfare? |

Reference: Just passing by and a bit hesitant to reply but at the bolded. have you actually read what you have written? Please step back and read again what you have written, then jump into a vehicle, drive round the city to check out a few hotels, make some enquiries especially to the security men on duty and show them exactly what you have written here.
I know you are livid at the man for his actions but I am afraid that the law is only applied to offences committed not intended. And there is no proof of intention here as far as the report is concerned. Please do not confuse the law with morality. Why do I need to drive around the city to show security men what I've written if you are not concerned about Morallity than the law itself. I suppose you are trying to say that it's a natural phenomenon for a married woman to go into seclusion with a man inside an Hotel room, where a lobby/restaurant or common area exist. Please do not insult my intelligence here. What I'm trying to point out is that, whosoever called the attention of the police did so rightfully under the penal law, and have every right to exercise such right. If you say the Law is not concerned about intended crime, then the question you should answer is, if I suspect someone is about to commit murder, do I leave them to first commit the act, then respond by calling the police or call the police before they commit the offence? There need to be a balance abeg. The only argument that may sound lawfully right here is the unlawful detention of the man in question, any other talk apart from that can be approached in a 50:50 Legal and Moral perspective respectively. Law cannot displace morals, especially when it comes to traditionally induced laws such as the penal code. |

Reference: So has he been charged to court, for as you say 'obtaining another man's property'.....because we hear about theft cases in court everyday here in Abuja.
As for me I don't see any case here. Adultery is yet to be a criminal offence in non Sharia states and even then he had to be caught 'pants down' as they say.
Yes, bad ethics and poor judgement in our clime to have a married woman in your hotel room but a crime.., no sir. Thank God you said "non sharia states" Abuja operates a Penal law since the 60's, and the police were only there to prevent a crime from happening. Obviously, the woman's husband is likely to be the complainant, and who knows what he could have done if he did not involve the police? And for your information, Adultery is a criminal offence under the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria. Section 387 and 388 stipulate imprisonment for two years, and/or with a fine for adulteryIf you think adultery is not about to occur, then why on earth is a married woman the first to come visit you from your trip, and she even arrived 20min after your arrival, to make the matter worse, she arrived at 6:40pm. A responsible woman, if not at home, should be on her way home to take of her family at that hour of the day. But the chances are high, the odds are low that they are not about to commit to each other. But the husband was wise, the police were swift and the crime didn't occur. |

SeaTrade: Hotel have lobbies for this reason . See ehn,I always tell all my guys, learn to open your mind to the possibility of your wife cheating on you atleast once throughout the course of your marriage,if you ever intend to marry. I've been opportune to role with some women in friendly gatherings and the things they say when they're with some of us they're comfortable with will shock you. Put yourself first and don't make some insane sacrifices for anybody, neither should you trust all out like a naive person, including your WIFE!!! Some men today with HIV got it from their wives, but because of their philandering ,they always think it came from them. Women hardly cheat with condoms, they're always easy to tell you raw or some bs condom irritation story. I always tell the girl I'm dating that if I should ever catch anything from her in the name of cheating,I'd put a 45 to her head and squeeze the trigger and anyone who tries to come to her defense will meet the same fate. Sleep around all you want,I no send you,no just give me disease. Ignorance is the only reason why many people are still married today,if them open their eyes, them go run. Oga I fit arrest you for wet in you just talk. You are liable to commit murder. |

See all the comments above just show say we still dey live archaic and primitive life style for this part of the world. Our mentality and reasoning is gone
So hotel room nor be same accommodation and shelter like our normal house? So una just condition una mind say na only bad things dey happen for hotel Wow even some educated nairaland are supporting the police...I dey shame for all of una Light up my weed with anger while I walk of this thread Don't be sentimental young man. The question you need to ask yourself is if Abuja truly operate a Penal Law? Go online, do some research and then come back here to drop your archaic comment. If it is a criminal offense to obtain another mans property under your roof without his consent then the Police or complainant may have a case. |

Chronicwanker: Greetings everyone. I've had this on my thighs and under my scrotum for a while now and I've tried to get rid of it but it's still there. Please who knows what it is and how can I truly get rid of it because I'm worried.
I bath twice a day and I don't wear a boxer for more than 12 hours. I shave regularly too so I'm confused.
The skin area is white and sometimes falls off when I scratch it, but the marks are there and the whiteness still. Bro if you love yourself, don't go for any medicine at the pharmacy, I battled with this stuff for my 5years and kept treating it with over the counter medicine. Whenever I treat it, it disappears, but then rreappears again. I got a medicine from Ghana that I use to get rid of this. This is a severe case of fungal infection but an herbal medicine did it for me, after several trials of Over the counter drugs and kentacazole cream. |
