Foreverdope: Some Northern youths have been captured on tape singing and vibing energetically to Nigerian singer, Joeboy’s hit song, Alcohol.
They were at a social event when the song came on and everyone got lost in the moment as they started singing and dancing with energy.
Some could be seen on tables and pouring drinks into their mouths, in attempts to mimic the TikTok trend of people pouring liquid and semi-solid substances on themselves while Alcohol plays in the background.
The scene stirred reactions from netizens who found it hilarious and some even said that Islamic Police, Hisbah would soon make their way the venue.
Thank God, let me not meet this type of men. Lord of heaven. I have been using Uber for a while now. Sometimes the drivers would want to bring up conversation, I'll just keep quiet, let he not do something that would say I tempted him, or the devil pushed him.
Ladies, if you're in a car with a male driver, just keep shut and mind your business., Please.
I don't have high body count, but I love the way men beg for my attention when on the street. Those their whistle and giving of eye that seems like dogs. Seriously, if you're beautiful, you'll enjoy this world more. That's a fact. Be beautiful and have a sweet heart and make your one man proud of you.
So, high body count is good, nonetheless is a no, no for me.
ChinenyeN: Loooool. So dedicated to your smear campaign against me, but it's wasted effort for you people. Anyone who goes through my post history will see how important Igbo language, culture and history has been to me. I'm as Igbo as they come. Lol. I’m obviously a proud Igbo since my aka oru gbasara okwu la omelala Igbo is readily apparent on this platform, especially in the culture section. I care about my Igbo people too much to leave them at the mercy of nde nnu la unu; nde we mgbamgba erne la agba chakom.
It's okay though. Igbo ga-adi without you; Igbo ga-aka mma sef. Lol.
Sweetie, you're not Igbo. Bonny and Opobo are obviously Igbos, although we have Ijaw elements, it's obvious. But trying to tort history to suit what you believe had exposed you.
Now, tell me, what would you say about the evidence shown to you. Crow and the likes aren't to be considered right becuase they didn't show how Jo men where representativs of the Bonny and Opobo island houses.
Don't be bias in your approach even if you're a Jo person. Most of the Bonny and Opobo are proud to be Igbos, but you guys have adutlerted them with a language thats alien, destroyed their heritage by calling them descendants of slaves, and made them very confused in all aspects. Isn't that enough? But as I said the chi of all Igbos is so strong, that it can't be altered.
And don't pretend with that Igbo speaking jamboree. An Ijaw man can learn Igbo here and pretend he's one. Language does not make you Igbo, if you're a proud Igbo it would be known unconsciously.
I'm happy for her. Let her continue to enjoy. ...and God would continue to bless her hustle.
PS: Some Nairalanders are so pained, and they talk of why they can't make it in life. When you're not happy for other people's success. Gratitude for others breeds success, that's the law of the Universe.
christistruth01: Ooni is the one in the Center of the Photograph .
Photo: yoruba Obas 1937.
From the Yorubas Obas conference 1937 proceedings Hosted by Sir Bernard Boudillon Governor General of Nigeria on 31st March and 1st April 1937
Quoting last paragraph of first page:
“The Chiefs were seated in a horse-shoe formation, with the Oni of Ife ,as the head of the town from which all Yorubas have traditionally sprung at the centre ,and the Alaafin of Oyo at the western and the Oba of Benin at the eastern end, an arrangement which gave general satisfaction.
Are you serious ... Thank our Lord, you said Yoruba obas and not Kings of Nigeria. You Yoruba can hold honor to your OOni, but in the other picture I don't think that's what happened here.
The Prince of England gave an invite and he wouldn't demean anyone by putting a tag on the chair, or making some pointless seating arrangement.
Trust me, Kings are proud and they wouldn't have succumbed to such invites, never. So, stop being delusional

Are you kidding me, does that mean superiority in any way. Have you ever been in a party, where someone comes in and every body takes their chair. Isn't that what happened. Or did the OOni tell you, they kept a tag on his chair, while other superior kings came there.
Or you think other kings don't have their respect and would have denied the invitation if that's what they were or how they were going to be addressed by sitting arrangement? funny you.
JANK23H: Tsk tsk tsk......Again reaffirming the true owners of Grand Bonny.
Why should i bother when a slave dealer gives a poor report about my people?Reason being,we could not be tamed.Unlike your kind that was shipped off like sheep.Given to bouts of depression and suicidal because they couldn't resist.
So you are happy with the praises of the Slave dealer/master?You should have hidden this. It's not something to be proud of.
Proudly a Jo-man! We never cower
So, you could not be tamed, but you were tamed to the extent you started having frequent British names, for example, Tammy Smith, Nancy Hampson, Nengi Hampson, Gideon house, Charles Bakosi, and Portuguese names. Even dressing with their attire. Haba!!! There is God ooooo (in patience Jonathan's voice)
HushNews: A bus driver has been captured on tape battling with police officers and LASTMA officials that tried to arrest him in Lagos state
In a video posted by Instablog9ja, the driver could be seen struggling to hang on to his bus as a team of security operatives tried to break his grip but to no avail.
No less than a joint team of 3 police and 3 LASTMA officers could be seen in the clip making attempts to arrest the man as he held onto the bus which was being driven away
The video has sparked reactions online with netizens hailing the bus driver and some taking pity on him
As a Teenager, the excitement that I would spend my Christmas holiday in Fegge was unimaginable. The experience enriched my worldview to the possibility that Charley Nwa Mgbafor was made for a place beyond my prevailing circumstance.
Fegge got me dreaming. A city planned for decent humanity, with a scenery flowing from the banks of the Niger; wetting my fecund mind in the midst of material deprivation. A trip to Fegge is all that was required to give one a sense of urban aesthetics, one that is totally lost upon two generations of Fegge dwellers.
Something in me leads a daily protest -- "Bring Back Fegge!"
It's 10 days to Christmas, and the protest is swelling even deeper. Indeed, the future we seek is in our past.
Every single day I'm on the forum, the dislike of Ijaw grows. I just hope it's not really them defaming themselves before my Igbo lovelies. You have your ports, why are you begging Igbo's to trade with you. If we want to trade, there is Opobo, Akwa Ibom (friendly neighborh) and Cross (friendly neighbor) who are willing to trade with them. Please keep your polluted crude oil beaches to yourself, and stop calling the Igbos to salvage your problem. Chineke!!! Thor and DubaiLandLord2
Tetehjewels: My Son is super smart and at 8 has already been given double promotion twice in school. The 1st one he got was in the 2nd term of that year and he was only able to join the new class in their 3rd term yet he still came first and the school thought it necessary to move him again. So he is now in a class with kids 3yrs older than he is and already besting them too.
We are a very God loving family and even though I have never sat my son down to talk to him about God, I do ensure he goes to Church with me and joins me in my daily morning devotions. I do notice that he has an extremely inquisitive mind and would rather watch educational channels on DStv than cartoons especially since they stopped showing his best cartoon "Goku"
So we have this neighbour who is from Greece. His 7 yr old son and my son can be considered best of friends and they visit each other at will. So on this day he came to visit and while they were hanging out I suddenly heard them arguing from his room. Normally their arguments would be over a video game or something else but this one was interesting. They were arguing about God!
I stood by the door and listened. Apparently that day revealed to me that my neighbour is an atheist but I never knew and he has been indoctrinating his 7yr old son along those lines because I clearly heard the boy say to my Son, "God does not exist, he is just a story"
So here is the convo
Him: God is not real, He does not exist, He is just a story
My Son: Ethan what did you say?
Him: God is not real, He is just like Santa who also isn't real
My Son: How do you know he isn't real?
Him: Well my dad said he isn't real because he just isn't. Have you seen him?
My Son: So your dad says God isn't real because he hasn't seen him? So something isn't real because you can't see it? But what about feeling Him?
Him: Feelings are not something we can um um fully determine because they can be misleading
My Son: How can you say Feelings are misleading, you are my friend right? (He goes yeah?) So how are you sure you are my friend if your feelings can be misleading. Can you say your feelings misled you into being my friend?
Him: No that's not what I was trying to say
My Son cuts him off with a sharp tone: So if your feelings did not mislead you into being my friend how then do feelings mislead you?
Him: Have you felt God before?
My Son: No but I do know that I think about him a lot
Him: umm umm but How would you possibly be thinking about something that does not exist
My Son: Exactly Ethan!
At this point I step into the room and cheerfully say Okay guys playtime is over (because I needed to stop the argument and get my Son to study by asking his friend to go home)
However his final comment "Exactly Ethan" resonated with me and made me think that comment was actually directed at Ethan's dad and not Ethan because apparently he had been talking about the non existence of God to his Son A LOT!
So how do you constantly talk or think about Something or Someone that doesn't exist?
Man grows and outgrows his concept of God. God is I Am that I Am. Please tell me, what's your name in full sentence? If you get the concept dear ones, you've found the God of scripture. The only true God.
Anonymous15: interesting, it is now very clear all of this English men in their journals consult mainly the Ibo slaves aboard ships or in England when writing.
That number 9 is a full prove. look at number 9 (Bom) which is the name the igbos called kalabari. I will be showing you an excerpt where pepple and Samuel crowther properly detailed the original name and the nickname the ibos call it. Obani is also a name the igbos call Bonny (okoloama) It is obvious all of these books you paste here were information gotten from Igbo slaves in England or slave ships. Now take a look at this report king PEPPLE and CROWTHER was sending to the British archives. "Bonny is called OKOLOMA by THEMSELVES Bonny is called okoloBA, OBANI, IBANI by the IBOS New calabar is called BOM by the IBOS"
And in your Excerpt, number 9 was written Bom,and the last line Obane. This excerpt below will clarify you. I will also call Igboid to come and view for his pleasure. Thicksharon123 and ezecanada you both are also welcome to see. Now compare it with the Excerpt from koelle Ekealterego brought. If Bom and Obane were detailed as towns, it was obvious these Englishmen got the information from the slaves they bought.
King PEPPLE himself and crowther clarified it.
Please, biko we have finished talk. Read the beginning of this thread to get the idea of what it summarises in general. And here's the summary, "Ijaws should be ashamed of themselves" trying to play smart with a peace loving people they've been with for years and even a century.
I know your next line of action is Reno Omokris talk, "Igbos are too sentimental" tell me why shouldn't we? Isn't being human being sentimental, why do Ijaws or all other tribe love their own, and are trying to benefit from a situation, isn't that being sentimental too? That's by the way.
As I said, "Ijaws should be ashamed of themselves." I had a friend in my early school days in boarding school. Her name was Ebiere Bakosi, she was my roommate. When I told her, where are you from? Would you believe the answer she gave me was my first instance of bigotry and hate; more annoyingly at an early age.
I said, "Are you Igbo" she shrugged her shoulders like it was some curse and said she's Ijaw. Ijaw from where, would you believe she said Port Harcourt? Which is called Igweocha before. When I was little I never knew it had an Igbo name.
That being said, my point is at an early age if Ijaws can feed their children with such hate for a tribe that they envy and want to be like them by all means crook. Then you guys better think again. The Ijaw dislike and apathy is growing every day in the south east and I believe that's why some of your leaders like, Asari Dokubo, Wike and the likes would pettily remind people they are Igbo for sometime and change when things are calm. Because they do know and believe when the Igbos shift their hate and energy towards the Ijaws, they are done for.
So, in essence, don't bite more than you can chew. You've done a lot to hurt the dear Igbos, from ransacking their property, pillaging their city-states, and desire to push it further by chewing up their lands and heritages.
Well, I've said my part. And with that little information you believe you have. I'll like to ask you one simple question. Why are you feeling jittery all of a sudden, if you know Bonny and Opobo are authentic Ijaws from their seed and origin, or don't you believe in the works of Alagoa again?
This is interesting. So, Opobo and Bonny were living in a lie. Or did they know all these things but decided to join the scam Ijaw nation or organisation to get derivatives. If that's so, then it's okay. But I hope they never believed in the lie that they were born slaves from Igbo ancestors. That's cruel of Ijaw people. To lie and sniff out their heritage and their pride.
Ijaw is Ijaw, what do I care. I don't even study anything about Ijaw and I don't want to. It's only this expansionist agenda that brought it to light. If not that, what's my business. I don't even recognize you.
I'll rather study Ibibio and Efik than Ijaw. This is not out of spite. Thank you.
DitariDisciple2: Ozo bin no c dem b4?? Why Na Nengi matter in wan die put. Present Bonny LGA Chairman is also Nengi nd u say they are Ibo. Liars.
I told you, you speak like a kindergarten child.
People liked Nengi becuase of her personality. She was soft spoken, and everyone likes people who are soft and humble. That's why OZo liked her, with that nothing else.
Maria, even though people called her a witch and wicked, see the followers who flock her page, telling her how beautiful she is. Even stars that haven't replied on peoples DM before can't help but praise Maria's beauty.
If OZo had the opportunity, he'll port quickly. But the thing is the way they see BBN as school, so they are seniors to Maria. That's why.
To add, general Pere wants to die on Maria Chike's Matter. He must take her to Bayelsa by force by fire.
DitariDisciple2: If Ibo women are so important why Ozo of Bb Naija wan nearly commit suicide for Nengi Ijaw lady matter.
Nengi?? Ewooooo!!! Nengi is small things when you see better Igbo women. For instance, Maria Chike in BBn, even Nnengi is afraid, she knows that Maria finishes her post. And Maria is just an average beauty. So stop wilding.
And people liked Nengi, becuase she had a soft personality like me, it's not about shape. If your behaviour is good, you'll be attractive too.
DitariDisciple2: Go to Opobo and remove them from the Ijaw socia-cultural organizations they belong, then force them into Ibo own. U liar.
Mtcheww.. I said you're sounding like a broken record biko... This Ijaw socio-cultural organization is becoming stale. They can come out anytime.i believe if an Igbo community comes you'll accept them, so stop saying Ijaw socio-cultural organization, it's so bland.
DitariDisciple2: The way u speak since here, Women don't speak that way. I'm not impotent like u that have not being used to mixing up with ladies so much.
I said it, my hypothesis was true. So you expect an Igbo lady like me to be quiet when you want to try to belittle my Opobo brothers and sisters and call them slaves.
Have you heard of Aba women riot. I have their blood, go and ask.
You men belittle a lot of ladies on Nairaland. If they speak, you try to mock them, no wonder a few ladies are vocal here. But I'm here to stop that rubbish.
RobbStark: You mean face padded with brown powder or what. Forget that thing. I know Ibo girls are beautiful cos I have run things with some, but not all. Some are mgbeke heat to toe
Me pack powder on my face. I would never. I have the cat eyes girls do operation for, especially Ijaw women.
I have the full hips, and a nice figure. So I don't get your point.
I only wear powder if I'm going for a wedding. I don't even wear it to church or for work. ... So I don't get your point.
DitariDisciple2: You mean in d so called Igbo land una claimed?
See as u are confusing your own self.
You people are on the land for a mission. So, my Igbo brothers and sisters don't trust Ijaw anymore. Don't you get it. And Opobo are Igbo speaking and have noble Igbo forefathers.
DitariDisciple2: His forefathers are not Ijaw slaves because Opobo was formed by 14 Ijaw households that left Bonny. and only 1 belong to Jaja nd all Jaja children have Ijaw mothers nd Jaja was Acculturated as Ijaw first. We don't say OSU to even strangers talk more of our own like d way Ibo call fellow Ibo outcast.
Please, go and drink breast milk, you speak like you're in kindergarten, biko. I didn't understand one thing from what you said. Anupama , replica of stock fish those are Ijaw people
RobbStark: Language alone does not determine the true origin of a people. The Argentines speak Latin, that doesn't mean they are spanish
That's not the point. We have given you facts that Ijaws has been brainwashing these people for a decade or so. Now, how do you expect some of them to say they are Igbo.
We are saying, do they enjoy speaking the language and do they speak the language. Then the rest would come out clear soon.
RobbStark: I have no I'll intentions. I just want him to know the truth.
We start by asking their names and who dey are. If they say they are Ibos, fine But if they say they not ibos, he is going to buy me a drink. Then we take pictures this nite and chill
It's not saying they are Igbos or not Igbos that's not relevant. When you've brainswashed them and called them Igbo slaves, what do you want them to say? If I said your forefathers were Ijaw slaves, how would you feel. Be in their situation.
