Big congrats to Nigeria as we have unwittingly elected the third ever female head of government in Africa and the very first female president in Nigeria. Ironically too, our northern brothers helped put this person there- TINUBUBU |
pandoragirigory:God judge u for foisting a man of no identity on us |
APC people cannot make heaven. They so much tried to diminish this Obi media time on #Arise tv. I had to go listen to it myself (somehow expecting something like a bad showing),only to be impressed by what is again articulate ideas for our development. Little wonder that Reno Omokri hasn’t seen much to write about since. The points I got and that I have commented on before here are: -There is something called announcement effects. Tinubu on his first day in office just opened mouth waa and set the whole nation on fire. Everybody became Israelites that period. - Obi like he twitted (and like he claimed in his manifesto) would have removed the subsidy in stages. 50percent first. We would have been eased into it. - he said he would be transparent with the shortfall from the subsidy removal money and make people see what’s being used for. -He rightly accused this government of half cooked and haphazard policies. He said they do not properly think things through. Just in a day yesterday for example, they mentioned additional 25k to the salary of some few and later in the day they upgraded it to 35k for every worker. -He said you can’t float Naira if you haven’t stabilized your supply. -He pointed to the need to put on ground a robust economic team before reeling out policies. -He as usual emphasized that corruption and criminality must be fought ruthlessly to achieve the aim of any policy. -He said it is important our leaders tell us the truth about themselves. He said this is so our image and dignity as a nation doesn’t suffer. He said it is also important so as to send the right signal ( I do emphasize on this often). Integrity and honour are the bedrock of a great society according to HE Mr. Peter Obi https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=21olBPv4HrZT_BjQ&fbclid=IwAR1F1KtNhjZAAIo9hvHTYZ4o07wpkvKj8RNdZfGyjfqnhBTpyknSxf8G6PA_aem_AcIs-yuKsLjN2hRWIGFesXRhtYM432enUlkiBqCxuyP64XM_UmZG86S7yyOzSidtYeE&v=bDMnjO8yVfg&feature=youtu.be |
Supremos:Dino, Ajaka and the LP guy should pool resources together. Yahaya dey desperate. Arrive on some compromise and cooperate. Importantly too, make provision for security. Meet Ratata with gbigbigbam... Do not depend at all on the police. Ofcourse by now you guys should know there is nothing like court again. |
Offpointng:Chaiii, how more can one be mad. Your madness is chronic. You have degenerated to the point there is no single ion of humanity in you again. What audacity to just spew lies effortlessly. |
Were they good fathers? (I have seen interview where the Sardauna, Ahmadu Bello espoused a dangerous tribalist view. Truth must be said). Are we worthy children? I celebrate the lack of war. I am ever optimistic. It will be well, now or later... but definitely. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

MTNnews:Ebony I and Umuahia that he mentioned are tapa lands abi? God will deliver u |
Curse777:It’s simple. The problem is that people to not know how to look at things in a wholistic way. They feel what Tinubu represents but they can’t just articulate it. I will here mention 3 of his evil. 1) Tinubu belongs to a set of people that burn anything or destroy anyone just so he can get his aims. He has in a large way helped create and maintain the culture of thuggery and ‘agberoism’ that now daily affect everyone and every street in Lagos. He will never address it because it’s his tool. One days those guys (uneducated, high on drugs and now emboldened by Tinubus Presidency) will turn on our society in full force. They have moved from extorting on the streets now to extorting at clubs and beaches. They will soon be knocking on our doors daily. I feel threatened. We are going the exact way Haiti went. 2) Tinubu because of his very embellished history of drug dealing and gansterism have become a bad role model for our young people. Young people are taking everything in and now it must seem to them that the end justifies the means. They will get the negative message that the most important thing is to be smart and powerful enough to get away with your crimes, no matter how bad they are. Our society is going to sh*t because of this. 3) Tinubu Presidency have made being a Nigeria in the face of international community a plague. We have become a disgrace. Nobody really take us serious again. People will want to build a fence between them and us. Tell me how I haven’t been affected? |
LegendHero:U no dey read. Dey say loop around not land |
Hemeshemeheru:They may find it hard to understand because pidgin English like patois is structured and molded based on the vanacular of the local community. eg come let’s go is formed based on “wa, jekalo” in yoruba |
When the federal government eventually catches #Simon Ekpa, God will punish anybody or socio-whatever group that try to beg for him.
|
jahsharon:Did you just escape some psychiatric centre? I am sure u don’t read |
Bliss24:And we are seeing live Tinubus brilliance with all his failed policies... it’s 5months already!!!! |
Bliss24:You would rather prefer crooks and bad role models to our youth in governance. Besides, Obi did fantastically well during his time as an administrator. The stats are there. He outperformed TINUBU and even FASHOLA measured in HDI (human development index). This stats are there online, but sentiments, dark mind and ingrained ignorance won’t let you see them. |
There will always be somebody like another person. It’s only God that nobody compares too. However, when it comes to Nigerian (or even African) politician, Obi is in a class of his own. How can somebody reject a gift of land in Abuja? Yet USELESS, sentiments that doesn’t pay you in anyway make you overlook this person for crooks. God will judge you.
|
saintopus:Let me counter you with Obis character and words I will take at least 2 of your points: 2). He would have removed fuel subsidy gradually. He twitted he will remove 50percent. This would have lessened the shock we experienced when subsidy was removed ones 3) somebody that didn’t put his children in any government post or position of influence unlike Tinubu while in and out of government isn’t likely to go about giving only people from his tribe choice positions. 4) people would sense his seriousness. He wouldn’t allow our NASS to be enjoying all the full benefits while everyone of us are cutting down on our expenses. He himself intentionally for the people of his state forfeited all gratuity and pensions a former governor should enjoy Plus* He went down heavily on MASSOB (the parent of IPOB) in his time. His state was adjudged the most peaceful by the national police chief then. You can verify all this things. I must add that he has far less baggage so there would be little distraction in his government. Importantly too is that, you will never hear that agbero attacks Abuja in the form of NURTW wahala or that a militant group headed by somebody like Asari Dokubo is going around Abuja with his boys singing war songs. Last point for now is that you won’t hear that any of us children donate 15million to anybody (money that they can’t defend the source). His children have known work. |
Can you mention just one area or policy where Tinubu has failed or probably done worse than Buhari? |
NOC1:Na una dey spoil society, putting public figure under immense pressure. The ideal thing is for him to buy and pay the normal money. When he gives the woman a bundle, he won’t be able to buy from another woman again for some time. Na your type make agbero culture become the in thing. You go want politicians to go somewhere and make people happy by giving money. From which salary na? Why he no go steal? They think well well oh. U sound like person wey go school |
kaydee:I won’t go into the mud with you. However, it takes a certain level of idiocy to ask the type of question you ask, in fact, a lot of people your set ask these type of shameful question. You do not know that God (the God the pastor says he serve) has a “mouthpiece”? The Christian God has a very detailed and exhaustive letter he wrote us that covers this type of issue. Any ok person that’s not an idiot can pick up this letter and get to understand the mind of God easily on this issue |
Nonexisting:I am sorry. It might be that you have some limited understanding. His writings are inspired. It have bearings on us today. Plus Paul didn’t write about any hellfire. You might want to point out any of his writings you feel is contradictory and I will show you that it’s perfectly in-line with the whole of bible deem. When you do not understand somethings in the Bible, it may be that your foundational knowledge is faulty. You may be measuring some of Paul’s teachings on things you think are biblical but that are actually wrong themselves |
tollyboy5:Paul dey bible na. No allow that agenda of hell that tries to separate Paul’s teaching from the rest of the Bible. Paul’s teachings are actually harmonious with the rest of the teachings in the Bible. And I wasn’t even going to quote Paul though he as very good argument and authority on the issue |
Truths9ja:Don’t be deceived by this guy and other impostors. God do not approve of his looks. I can explain from Bible if you guys want me to. God appreciate the head as much as he appreciats the heart |
MS247:Your leader. Which company he get? Polluter of the society. Celebrating rubbish |
The only success of Tinubu in his first 5months is that we haven’t gone to war. Everything has worsened. All of his policies have failed. He as started paying back subsidy after his initial gra gra and he didn’t tell us. 4years - 5months=? |
Iyenogie30:Get sense... it’s easterners kidnapping and going to sell in the north. We shouldn’t avoid to face the truth. We must look inwards to the source of our problems |
crowther15:What does it look like. What does it help achieve? How does it work? |
Peter532:No let your Dad fight anything with his last strength. Law is law. A compromise can be reached, still, he has the right to most of those things. Abi is it your Dad that did juju to him so he won’t come back all this time? |
Dpen11:Drugs contribute sometimes |
Botragelad:It might be arrogance on your part to tell me I do not know you.. By Gods grace I am very sound and versed in Gods words. As you can see that almost in all my responses I put up bible verses. I am not in anyway shackled down by the tradition of men or even traditions of our churches today. I will address your points: (1) I notice with accomplishment that you are somehow starting to agree with me. I never told you that and I quote you, *appearance is the decisive or primary factor in determining one’s faithfulness to God* , I only told you as you have shrewdly admitted that it matters. [b] you are wrong to say Moses was address by those people that found him after he escaped because of his exploits in Egypt. Those people didn’t know his story as at then, but they took him as an Egyptian because of the way he came across to them. (I will leave the Bible verses to show your errors out). Exodus 2:15-19; 15 Then Pharʹaoh heard about it, and he attempted to kill Moses; but Moses ran away from Pharʹaoh and went to dwell in the land of Midʹi·an, and he sat down by a well. 16 Now the priest of Midʹi·an had seven daughters, and these came to draw water and to fill the troughs to water their father’s flock. 17 But as usual, the shepherds came and drove them away. At this Moses got up and helped the women and watered their flock. 18 When they came home to their father Reuʹel, he exclaimed: “How is it that you have come home so quickly today?” 19 They replied: “A certain Egyptian rescued us from the shepherds, and he even drew water for us and watered the flock.” I will also point out your error in the incident about the King of Judah. He erred by allying himself to the sinful king of Israel, however he was spotted out for assassination because of the way he was dressed. 1Kings 22:30-32; The king of Israel now said to Je·hoshʹa·phat: *“I will disguise myself and will go into the battle, but you should put on your royal attire.”* So the king of Israel disguised himself and entered the battle. Now the king of Syria had ordered his chariot commanders: “Do not fight with anyone, small or great, except the king of Israel.” (2) This examples emphasizes the power of appearance. They confirm the old wise sayings that you are addressed the way you are dressed. (3) and (4) You are right here and it’s the same thing I have been telling you. The New Testament fulfilled the Old Testament and together they are the complete revelation and guidance of God for us. (4)You can’t live and conduct yourself in a way that glorifies God if your life and appearance do not glorify God. Your appearance does matter. Christianity and the way of pleasing God involve the whole of the person; your physical and spiritual person must conform to the way that distinguishes you as a set apart person. You balance and moderate your appearance. You be careful like I said in my penultimate response about the impression people get not in a negative way or a way you get intimidated (I used caged), but knowing fully well that you are owned by God, hence your life must tell about God. I advice that if you are somebody of authority, maybe a pastor with influence on people, you should get the necessary humility to really see the Bible and get the meaning of things, not to suit your sentiments but to really point to God. My point again (and you have in a way agreed) , is that appearance though not being the whole requirement in pleasing God, does MATTER. |
Botragelad:I was eating when I typed my last response. Still, I understand you, you are the one that seems not to really understand me. I point out a lesson from the incident that surrounded Moses escape. I do not blame him for how he was before then or do I accuse you of blaming him. The lesson (please this is my point) is that appearance matters. Moses was ADDRESSED based on how he was DRESSED (regardless if he dressed that way intentionally or not. Regardless if the situation was forced on him or not). Thankfully, Moses left the way of life of the Egyptian, though a very hard decision. He left and adapted to the ways of the chosen of God. A kind of conversion. He like many people that do not know how to dress or behave was born into a culture and a lifestyle, but in a bid to please God, he left the culture and lifestyle. This is my point. In matters of dressing and like in our other behaviors, the Bible’s take as can be deduced from a lot of examples and incidents in the Bible is that we should dress in a way that we do not appear to conform to the world. You might be scratching your head and wonder what other incidents are there in the Bible that one can deduce bible stand from? There was this king of Judah that was nearly killed because soldiers were looking for the king of Israel in battle to kill him. But then, the king of Israel was wise and he had disguised himself while the allied king of Judah foolishly went into the thick of battle with a regalia that pointed him out as a king. Now like the case of Moses, I do not in anyway fault that king really, still, a lesson can be deduced from the incident and the lesson is that the way you appear or the way society relate your appearance with matters. Second, it’s obvious that you are knowledgeable. I still should emphasize it to you that while the Old Testament laws were given to Israelites in a specific context, God in his wisdom fashioned out the laws in a way that they mostly still do apply now. Besides, Christians are the inheritor of the promise to the then Israelites. If Christians as the modern Israel of God are the inheritor of the promise, they are then consequently the inheritor of the laws. I am flexible and I make necessary adjustments when I see were I make mistakes. I want you to have the same attitude. You are right that the witnesses are Israel forebears and champions of faith that had lived exemplary lifestyle, still you can’t leave by faith if you do not consciously strife to show loyalty to God and knowledge and obedience to his word by walking and living in a way that glorifies God even among the people. 1 Peter 2:11,12 Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and temporary residents to keep abstaining from fleshly desires, which wage war against you. Maintain your conduct fine among the nations. 1 Timothy 3:7 Moreover, he should also have a fine testimony from outsiders so that he does not fall into reproach and a snare of the Devil. The two following bible portions I will leave should show you that you must be careful even about peoples opinion, not in a negative way or in a way that will cage you, but the care should be that it will always make you conscious of living a life that glorifies God and evangelize to people. If they can’t hear the word from you let them at least see the word (of God) in your attitude and modest appearance. Acts 22:12 “Then a man named An·a·niʹas, a devout man according to the Law, well-reported-on by all the Jews living there. [note the well reported]. 1 Thessalonians 4:11, 12 Make it your aim to live quietly and to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we instructed you, so that you may walk decently in the eyes of people outside and not need anything. [note ‘walk decently in the eyes of people OUTSIDE]. |
Botragelad:I disagree with you on many of your takes. You do not really understand fully my Bible (sorry) or basis for my argument I will show you. Moses is not to be blamed for how or where he is born. The lesson we can get at that incident with the people that encountered him (which I actually stressed) is that they identify him with some people because of the way he appeared. And that is actually my point. It’s totally false when you say Old Testament commands do not bear on us today. Granted many of them have served their purpose especially those that have to do with the temple and those that in a way foreshadowed the redemption work of Christ like sacrificing of animals. All those and the temple obligations have come to fulfillment with Christ. Still other commandment and teachings on morals, love of God and how we should live a peculiar life is still very valid. The only scriptures Jesus and the early Christians actually had and that they lived by and that guide their teachings and inspiration is the Old Testament. And that portion in the Bible that talked about the witnesses around us ACTUALLY point out that “cloud of witnesses “ for us so we can be careful and live our lives in a way it will show as a sacrifice acceptable to God. Sacrifices you must agree with me entails doing away with some things just to please God. Christianity unlike what people today what to paint it as is not a life of doing what’s just good for yourself, it’s a life of consideration to others. That’s why the Bible said in Romans 14:21; 21 It is best not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything over which your brother stumbles. People always watch people. You can’t give glory to God when you appear in a way that make people associate you with Yahoo yahoo people or some other set of people that society link with vices. That’s Christian life. |
