Christianity EtcDifference Between Bible Prophets And Modern Prophets by thinkmoney(op): 7:06pm On Sep 03, 2023
The difference between Bible prophets and our Modern prophets is in the brackets:

ELISHA-“This is what Yahweh says: ‘{Tomorrow (definite)} about this time at the gate of Sa·marʹi·a, a seah measure of fine flour will be worth a shekel...”

ADEBOYE-“Naira Will Bounce Back, Stronger Than Dollar {Soon(indefinite)}...”

Oyinbo country self too get wahala.

You cannot discipline your wife as one can do in Nigeria... Your wife can wake up and call police for you and police will ask you to leave your home.

You cannot scold your kids, if you do so and the authority get to know, they will take away your kids and hand them over to a foster parent.

And this is the place some people are selling their assets to go lipsrsealed

My prayer to all Nigeria men suffering under their wives in various oyinbo country.
It’s only your kids you discipline. There is nothing like disciplining of wife... wife is a partner... your wife is yiu

Don't be clever by half. Mbaka was called out for supporting Buhari and not for denouncing Buhari.
What I'm asking is if any Eastern pastor has ever opposed a govt yet you never call them out for not opposing sitting govts.
You nearly gave me headache in trying to understand you. I think I do now.
Now the fact is that nobody called out Kumuyi for not opposing Tinubu. People largely didn’t even think about him while many respected what seemed like his neutrality. People however started calling him out like they called out Mbaka when he came out to voice his support. Many feel he like the others are deceiving us and cajoling us to support bad characters. I am a deeper lifer to shock you. And I am half igbo and half Yoruba.

Let me use another eastern pastor as an example. Nobody may be dragging OPM pastor now, but they will drag him whenever he supports a Tinubu, Buhari or Kalu

Can you share what exactly is wrong with any of the above statements to warrant an attack on a man simply because you think he does not share your political choice?
I don't like tinubu or anything APC for that matter but only an ignorant and bitter soul will expect a Pastor who is truly called by God to not speak in this manner.
May i ask in the converse if Bakare is your acceptable model of who should be a pastor since he recently criticized Tinubu's govt?
Funny enough, no pastor of note from Eastern extraction have ever come out to denounce any govt yet I've never seen any of you call them out or rain invective on them.
You should be aware that you're further alienating your franchise if you think you have the moral barometer to decide who is in the right or wrong on public issues and the appropriate opprobrium to unleash on such. You have lost an election. It's not the end of the world. Tinubu's party lost in 2007 and 2011. You should double down on being a viable opposition instead of attacking ordinary Nigerians who are not even politicians for praying for, or offering support for their constitutionally recognised leaders. Such support can be fluid and even change if well managed but I doubt you'll retain any goodwill after you've abused every notable Nigerian to stupor.
Be guided forthwith
Don’t pretend to have short memory. Mbaka was called out and dragged to the point he got suspended. Mbaka was at that point the biggest spiritual force in the southeast.
The problem with Kumuyis statement is that he lied and pinned Gods name to the lies. People put faith in things they shouldn’t have put faith in. He used Gods name in vain

Yesterday I saw a publication by Tinubu’s propaganda blog, Podium Reporters, asking why Peter Obi has kept quiet while “Obidients” attack Kumuyi for “praying for Nigeria”.

But that’s a mischievous suggestion. Because Kumuyi’s condemnation was from all Nigerians.

Till now, I’ve not seen a single tweet in support of Kumuyi.

So, it’s either all Nigerians are now Obidient or Podium Reporters are being mischievous as usual by dragging Obi into what is entirely none of his business.

Does Obi think for the Nigerian youths?

Besides, I thought they said majority of Nigerians voted Tinubu? Why didn’t that majority defend Kumuyi? Why is the voice of the ‘minority’ always louder than the supposed majority?

To Kumuyi….

Who has he been hearing from? Because it’s obvious it hasn’t been God all these years.

Or why does he keep issuing prophesies that never come to pass and people expect that we fold our arms and watch these guys lie to us all the time without consequences or their bluff being called?

These guys keep taking advantage of the gullibility of the majority of Africans who have faith without reason.

I remember when Adeboye once said he drove from Lagos to Ore on an empty tank, and people believed him. They didn’t ask questions about the possibility of such. They insisted it was a miracle that must never be probed nor questioned.

Wake up, Africa!

Wake up and see that these men are conmen who are feeding fat on your gullibility “In The Name of God.”

And they know that the day Nigeria gets her leadership right, and things start working, that’s the day they will go out of business.

Because 90% of things that people go to church to pray for, are things with temporal (physical) solution that requires no recourse to the metaphysical (prayers).

Name it:

Food

Job

Shelter

Visa

Capital for business

Success in exam

Cure for disease, etc.

These are things that a functional government will see to its adequate availability and thereby reducing the dependence of people on these churches and Daddy GOs.

It happened in Europe.

There was a time when the economy of Europe was in shambles and people depended highly on God, through prayers, for their daily survival. That period saw to the emergence of big churches and cathedrals where people went to pray.

But when European countries started getting their leadership right and their economy blossomed and government started doing its job of providing basic amenities and jobs that help people have a means of livelihood, the people realized that they’ve been seeking spiritual solution to physical problems.

The population in the churches started to dwindle until some churches became empty. And some of those churches started getting converted into warehouses for storage of goods manufactured in industries.

Now, these Nigerian, nay African, pastors know this story. And they know that if African countries start to get its leadership right, what happened in Europe will inevitably happen in Africa; and Nigeria is not excluded.

That’s why they keep supporting the wrong leaders and telling lies in the name of prophecy - prophesies that never come to pass.

Now, when we call the hypocrisies of these charlatans out, some people who are irredeemably gullible, hopelessly superstitious and still operating with animistic mentality, where every occurrence is attributed to the gods, will be telling us to “touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm.” That’s the escape line of these charlatans.

Wake up Africa and take thine salvation into thine hands!

RomanceRe: How I Met My Girlfriend by thinkmoney(m): 2:16pm On Aug 20, 2023
kayus621:
It was during my national youth service year in Akwa Ibom State when our paths first crossed. We were both posted to ukanafun as National Youth Service Corp(NYSC) members, and little did I know that this would be the beginning of a beautiful journey.

From the moment we met, I was captivated by her warm presence. She had a way of making me feel at ease, and her infectious laughter filled the room. She had a nickname for me, "Kayo," which she said in a playful and sexy way. It quickly caught on, and soon, my fellow colleagues started calling me by that name too.

As we got to know each other, our connection deepened. We discovered shared interests, passions, and dreams. But one of our most cherished moments was when we started coming out at night to talk about our lives under the moonlight. It became our sacred time, where we could share our deepest thoughts, dreams, and fears.

We had made it a tradition to come out at night and share our lives with each other, reminiscing about our past, our secondary school experiences, and our university lives.

But one thing that always stood out for me was when she spoke about her former job as a receptionist. There was something enchanting about the way she told her stories, especially when it happened under the moonlight. It was as if the moon itself was lending an ear, illuminating her words and giving them a magical touch.

I would listen intently as she painted vivid pictures with her words, describing the challenges she faced and the interesting people she encountered. She had a way of making even the simplest of tasks sound fascinating and captivating. And as she spoke, I could feel myself being transported into her world, experiencing every moment alongside her.

It was during these nights that I truly got to know her on a deeper level, understanding the experiences that had shaped her into the person she was today.

Sometimes, we would sit in silence, just basking in each other's presence, the moonlight creating a serene ambiance around us.

But it wasn't always smooth sailing. Like any close relationship, we had our fair share of misunderstandings. However, what set us apart was our commitment to resolving those misunderstandings under the moonlight.

When disagreements arose, we would find ourselves back in our special spot, away from the distractions of the world. There, under the moonlight, we would open up to each other, expressing our thoughts and feelings with honesty and vulnerability.

We were willing to confront our differences head-on, to listen and understand each other's perspectives. Under the moonlight, we would apologize, forgive, and embrace each other's flaws. It was in those moments of vulnerability that our bond grew even stronger. We learned to appreciate the beauty of compromise and the power of understanding.

Looking back on those nights, I realize that our misunderstandings were not obstacles but opportunities for growth. They allowed us to learn more about ourselves and each other, deepening our connection in ways we never thought possible.

As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, our bond grew stronger. We became each other's confidants, supporting one another through the ups and downs of our service year. Whether it was navigating the challenges of our assigned tasks or finding solace in the unfamiliar surroundings, we were there for each other every step of the way.

Looking back, I realize that meeting her during my youth service year was no coincidence. It was a serendipitous moment that brought us together, shaping the course of our lives in ways we couldn't have imagined.

I see the point you are trying to make. Whatever America and other Europeans do to other nations, they do not do it in the name of religion. They do it for nationalism. That’s why you see America bombed Serbia, another Christian country. You see them persecute as it were Venezuela.
On the other hand, those examples I presented and the many other terrorist groups do what they do in the name of religion

Where do you ever hear Christians as a group persecuting others? Is it that Christians are cowards?
Christians are not cowards. In fact, they are politically and economically the most powerful people in the world. It’s just that if truth most be told, something in Christians have conditioned them to tolerate people more than others.
We should start asking ourselves critical questions and start telling ourselves the truth.
