Nwa Teacher: Amaechi, you better go and reconcile with your master than to be running around, spending River State money for rubbish publicity. Why can't you be humble for a day. What impact has BBC interview you went for has for a common River State man? How many Rivers can afford watching BBC news in their home? Is the BBC publicity for who, for what?
Keep quiet if u nor get wetin to talk. Must u buy DSTV when startimes is cheap and affordable? Besides, BBC is too elitist to ask for, or air interviews that have been financially solicited. Abi u think say na AIT?

kaeto: Which governors said this? Those 4 idiots from the north. Ofcourse, even the apc and yorubas can't have any of the 4 as president, if we do then we are actually heading backward. Instead of we Igbos to support any of these goats, we will join forces with the yorubas to push foward a yoruba president which the SS and MBELT will also join forces with, to give us a reasonable leader. But GEJ will crush these northerners in the pdp primaries in the manner below. Delegates from SS including rivers state, SE, SW, MBELT, half the delegates from kaduna, borno, adamawa, yobe, gombe. Note that states in the north that doesn't have pdp governors will be won by GEJ. While states like katsina, bauchi and nasarawa, with strong pro GEJ structures will all go to GEJ. The price has been paid. The requests of these 4 governors are cowardly and shall never be granted. Dreamers should wake up.
Dude, you are the one that needs to wake up. Am a southerner and i bravely say that GEJ is a disappointment. I prefer Abacha's era to this slow paced, inconsistent, confused and directionless administration.

PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole Replies Jonathan Over Flight Delay. by thoniann(m): 11:39am On Jun 08, 2013
ballabriggs: Jona playing his ogogoro politics again. As the pilot rightly said, these are bills that are usually paid later and that is the norm. It is not your Upper Iweaka motor park where you give mpiawazu boys money before take-off. The norm for most corporate organisations is that bills are accumulated and paid much later after the transaction date. They can accumulate debts and pay through standing orders with their banks. It should not be a pay as you go service.

The helicopter should only have been stopped from flying if they had exceeded a credit limit and not on a single transaction. Even if you felt they should have paid before take-off, the ideal thing is to allow the flight and issue a request for payment later, it is common sense.

We all know this is a continuation of Jona's ogogoro politics. These organisations should be built on safety principles and rules. However, controls are daily being circumvented to meet Jona's disgusting ambition. It is dangerous, it is criminal as it is a threat to those who these institutions are meant to serve and also ensure their safety.

Tomorrow a plane will crash, Labaran Maku will come out with his foul mouth and tell us how "it was almost me". ANIMALS!!!
i like it when guys like you explain objectively. I just learnt a lot from your comment. Big ups!

Which Nigerian Tribe Has Got The Most Romantic Females?

I grew up hearing about the romantic nature of the Ibibio/Efik woman and I craved to explore their abilities. Few years ago, I was opportuned to visit Uyo and Calabar and I hurriedly began my mission to explore the women. But to my chagrin, I was disappointed. Nothing special. Nothing. The ladies were the same with the Binis, the Ibos and Yoruba babes I had frolicked with.

It was the same massage, the same sweet voice to either come to table and eat or retire to bed for the bedmatics, the same screams....nay, moans in action.

Perhaps, romance has got a different definition that I don't know of, so I shall be needing your help with the above question.
PoliticsWho Be The Dullest Governor For Naija? by thoniann(op): 1:04am On May 31, 2013
Freedom to express my thoughts no matter whose ox is gored. I have seen topics/posts on this forum being dedicated to people and when its right we applaud them and when its wrong we chastise them. A while ago, a topic was posted about the "The Smartest Governor", hmmmm... What can I say? Check that post for my comment. But this one is dedicated to the "DULLEST" of them all. And I give it to Jang. I can recall his face as he was being dragged to the mic by Akpabio to be introduced to the press as NGF Chairman.... He looked like a puppet and I felt grave and be-wildered that a retired military officer was being pulled like a marionette. Now I see what Plateau State is going through.
PoliticsGov. Peter Obi, Others Escape Death. by thoniann(op): 10:42pm On May 28, 2013
Culled From The Vanguard,
On May 28, 2013

Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, the Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Igbuya, and other government officials, Tuesday, escaped death as what could have turned out to be an air mishap was avoided by Arik Pilot of Flight W 3788 conveying over 100 passengers from Lagos to Asaba.
The flight, which was supposed to take off at 8:30 am was delayed in Lagos on account of bad weather. Though travellers had boarded the flight, after about two hours inside the plane, they were asked to go backto the departure lounge as the plane could not take off on account of what the pilot described as “terribly bad weather at Asaba.”
After about three hours, the flight was boarded again because weather reports showed improvement within the internationally accepted landing standards. By the time it was boarded again, many people who saw the situation as warning from providence cancelled their trips.
On getting to Asaba, the weather became bad again while attempt at landing was difficult. The pilot, who did not want to take chances promptly returned to Lagos. On reaching Lagos, however, the weather there had already gone very bad by aviation standard.
The plane had to circle around for hours amidst dwindling aviation fuel. It finally landed at 4:45 pm amidst signs of relief from traumatised passengers who clapped in jubilation. The pilot, Captain Sandy Miller, merely told passengers to thank their God for His mercies when they got home.
Speaking to aviation correspondents at the Domestic Wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport, Governor Obi, who travelled to South-Africa on Sunday and came back, yesterday, to Lagos said he was determined to make the flight to Asaba en route Awka because he did not like staying outside Awka more days than necessary.
On whether he was frightened, the governorlaughed and said that nothing again should be frightening to a person that governs a state like Anambra. Moreover, he said, he was always at peace with his God and fellowhuman beings and couldn’t worry over the vicissitudes of life.

This is a war GEJ will lose. Bitter truth, yes, you may not like it. You may think the under-dog will suffer, but he won't. He is neither contesting for presidency in 2015 nor going back for second term. Be aware that we the people of Delta State are solidly behind our governor and we could care less about the presidency because the only government we know that is existing is the state government

Just mind yourself, no make me vex oooo.

PoliticsAmaechi Or Jang: Whom Would You Have Voted For? by thoniann(op): 2:57am On May 25, 2013
Governor Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State has emerged winner in the just concluded NGF elections, drawing some bad blood and utter rejection from the other camp known to be GEJ's loyalists, who paraded Governor Jang as its candidate.

How this episode pans out will be the intrigue for the next coming days, but as nairalanders, known for our vibrant fun catching style; let drop out votes for our preferred candidate. E.g, Amaechi or Jang.

PoliticsRe: PDP Governors Reject Amaechi's Election by thoniann(m): 2:35am On May 25, 2013
Pedagogue: D reasons Akpabio and his 'PDP Governor's forum' have given shows how unintelligent they are!!!

They said Amaechi ought to have stepped down as the Chairman of the forum b4 the election was held - Why did they agree to go on with the election since they knew this!!! Since they conceded to that arrangement and proceeded to vote, it is now too late to cry!!!
Apart from this, Akpabio nay GEJ were just clueless as to how best to defeat Amaechi..they had lined up the Governors of Katsina and Bauchi b4 finally settling for Gov. Jang at the last minute!!!Political dis arrangement of the highest order!!!

GEJ and AKPABIO's tactics is obvious- if Amaechi wins, Governors loyal to GEJ should back out of the forum and declare another person as winner. With that, d Governors forum will die a natural death!!!

But whatever may be the case, the fact still remains that GEJ's camp must be sweating over Amaechi's victory. If GEJ could not prevail on PDP governors to vote in his candidate, how can he clinch the party's ticket in 2015?

* I was really stunned to see the Gov of Ondo state being tossed around like an houseboy by Gov. Akpabio in d interview he granted! Mimiko is fast turning to GEJ's south west puppet!!!
I saw that tossing around and was jolted to my marrows. Even Jang was nodding like a puppet from Sesame Street. Saddening!

PoliticsRe: Looks Like Jonathan's Approval Ratings Has Hit The Roof? by thoniann(m): 9:39pm On May 17, 2013
Its saddening to see Nigerians commend a gesture that is a responsibility of a man massively voted to power. GEJ is saddled with the responsibity of protecting the people both from internal and external aggression. For me he has done nothing new or extraordinary to deserve my commendation since he became president. He's not won the won against terror either by dialogue or force. I shouldn't teach him what to do. He said he knew how to tackle these problems during campaigns and I believed him.
He promised to fix power, 2 years on and I still buy fuel for my generator. No improvement.
The roads in my state are still bad, worse than before and he cant caution his governor(s) to sit up.
No corrupt official/politician has been imprisoned for embezzlement,mal-administration and malvesation of public money, even though we hear, see and read about these scandals daily.
WHAT ARE YOU ALL COMMENDING HIM FOR?
It's your right to enjoy the good deeds of democracy. He's not doing any of us a favour by fighting Boko Boys. Its his job and he has to do it. In the words of Fela, "Animal can't dash me human rights."
