X-factoria:

He is sure to go that way! You don't stand in the way of a moving train and expect not to be crushed. He's so stupid to have underestimated a Nigerian President. The Presidency is a powerful office and it does not matter who occupies that position or whatever name he goes by. I have said it before, even OBJ "no get mouth" except Jonathan does not want to wield power and I think he is going to learn to wield it with people like Tony Anenih in his think tank.

Check out my previous post on GEJ/Amaechi tussle on this thread:

https://www.nairaland.com/1269269/dickson-amaechi-want-leader-opposition/1#15419678

Guy forget dat thing. Wield what? His penis? Against who? Obj? E die well. Make him try am naaa. Obj gave them a blank challenge last week and asked them to probe him. What was the response from the FG? An emphatic NO.
As for Amaechi, permit me to say that if GEJ continues to fool himself, Amaechi will move to APC with his wagon of loyalists. Remember,he has oil money and knows where the boys are in the creeks. Don't tell me he can't decamp. Theodore Orji and Ohakim decamped and nothing happened.

Ochek:

No mind those ppl. However, just put off ur data network and try again. It worked for me and i'm pretty sure it will for you too.

I am saddened at your solution. It does show how degraded your reasoning can be. Do you mean that for me make every call successfully, I should turn off my data network? So, while online and someone flashes, I should go, turn of data and dial.... After the call, i turn on data network and my mum calls and asks me to call her back, then I turn off data network and dial? O fella, u need to have ur head examined.

Burger01:
How would the church be aware of the previous marriage, probably done in Port Harcourt? Would the church carry out an independent investigation as to whether the man already had a wife or not?

That is why the Catholic Church remains the one true universal church. If it were to be consumated in the Catholic Church, Banns of marriage notices will be sent to ALL the parishes he and the female have ever attended till they reach adulthood. And this call will be made three times. The essence of this is to fore-stall such disgraceful events. But how can our pentecostal churches handle this? They are in the bane of having consummated the worst marriages in recent times. Especially these 'lagos, abuja and port harcourt' marriages now in the offing.

Sincere 9gerian:
"Now he's the mouthpiece of the same people who makes the life of Nigerians more difficult"

Did you just utter that gibberish? What do you mean by "Now he's the mouthpiece of the same people who makes the life of Nigerians more difficult"? Perhaps you were refering to Fashola and Tinubu who may be making "the life of (Lagosians) more difficult" (according to you)

In case you were refering to the govt of GEJ, I'm sorry you'r WRONG. Besides the increment of fuel price, which was by the way, inevitable, your comment is BASELESS and SENSELESS. About the fuel price increase, that was inevitable as it would HAPPEN over and over again, except crude oil price comes down. As long as crude oil price is increasing, ANY govt in power will inevitably increase fuel price. The reason is, fuel is a commodity, like any other commodity.

Beside the fuel price increase, I dont see how the following has "made life more difficult for Nigerians":
- revival of the rail transport system
- YOUWIN
- graduate internship scheme
- SURE-P women and youth empowerment scheme that employs 5,000 unskilled persons per state and pay them monthly stipends for 5hrs per weekdays work.
- Airport remodelling and Aviation reforms
- Building of cargo Airports
- Construction of Almajiri schools
- Massive road rehabilitation, re-construction and construction
- Agric reforms including new ways of distributing fertilizers and farm inputs that ensure farmers receive subsidized farm inputs DIRECTLY
- Ongoing power reforms and privatisation
- Creation of 12 new federal universities
- Increased funding for federal and select state higher institutions
- Rehabilitation of federal unity colleges
- Local content law in oil and gas
- Empowering local contractors by giving them every contract worth N5billion and below
- Credible elections
Etc,etc

If anything, ALL of the above, are and will make life better for Nigerians.

Most times, critics turn BLIND eye to all of the above, while at same going on and on about corruption, corruption and corruption. Well, if you like, you can build another twin towers with the word- corruption- but the FACT is that corruption has existed since 1960 and is ALWAYS an easy tool for those who want political power through the back door. Therefore, no one should be bothered about the NOISE by anti-corruption e-warriors.

What matters, as far as I'm concerned are CONCRETE things, listed above, that affect the lives of ALL Nigerians DIRECTLY.

By the way, GEJ became president in mid 2010, after the death of Yar Adua. So you alone know how you calculated your 4yrs. All LIARS, except they repent, have comfortable seats reserved for them in the hottest part of HELL

i tot we had purged Nairaland of these "Govt Internet Assistants?" How did this fellow infiltrate us again?

Politics / Ribadu On Alam's Pardon: "We Don't Need This Kind Of Negative Signal..." by thoniann(m): 5:45am On Mar 19, 2013
Former EFCC chairman Nuhu Ribadu was quoted in the New York Times as deploring the pardon granted Mr. Alamieyeseigha. And then he said, “Corruption is our main problem in Nigeria. We don’t need this kind of negative signal. This is a tragedy.” Well, President Jonathan would disagree. For him, corruption is not Nigeria’s main problem: it isNigeria’s main opportunity. And the clemency to the Alamieyeseighas, seen by Mr. Ribadu asa negative sign and tragedy, may well be Mr. Jonathan’s assurance to the “selectors” of Nigeria’s president that he is ever dead set against rocking the boat.

Do you agree?
