What i'm tryin 2 say is, though d couple hav sinned by indulgin in pre marital sex bt if de wedin did nt take place in de church it wil affect thier faith greatly, bt let d pastor hv a one on one talk with dem join dem in matrimony n u wil c hw tins wil turn out positively n it hv a great impact in d lives of belivers. Who knows dis single act wil bring a decline in such cases.

What is usually done is that they come back later for marriage blessing.It doesn't mean they send them away from the church.
The marriage ceremony will not take place in church under such circumstance.
You can't treat such cases with kid's gloves or else there won't be a standard.Faith and discipline go hand in hand.

There's little you can do at this stage.Young girls that are not guided and get bitten by the love bug only come around when it has cleared from their eyes.
Pay them a visit just to know where she is staying and that all is well.

I appreciate you all for your contributions. Though i still got some perturbing questions. Pardon me if am silly.
When it is said it's not easy combining marriage and academics, BESIDES CHILDBIRTH, which other troubles are there?
I currently go to school from my parents home. Thus;
I got a multitude of dishes to wash daily whereas i may end up washing just 2 pieces in my husband's house.
I got several rooms and the compound to sweep sometimes twice daily whereas only some few with less dirt in my husband's house.
I got a community to cook for whereas i got to cook only for two in my husband's house.
I got Mummy, Daddy, and siblings to attend to their errands even after the stress of school whereas it's just my husband's errand i have if married. That's besides the possibility of having a househelp if it becomes too necessary.
I got my siblings assignment to assist with whereas my Husband's assignment would only be on Bed
Daddy wont assist me with that school assignment neither will mummy whereas i believe my husband will be there to assist.
I dont have to chat for hours on call or whatsapp with him since he will be having me around almost always meaning less distractions.
Plus i dont get the pressure of selfservice since he's gonna be there almost whenever needed

Moreso, i dont contribute anything financially to my parents at the moment; Its gonna be the same thing with my hubby too until i graduate of course or he establish small biz for me as we are already planning.
So i ask again, besides the stress of pregnancy and child rearing, anyone wanna educate me on other troubles i havent seen cos of love blindness? Pls dont mind my foolishness if any, Its just LOVE . Thanks

I have seen a similar case like this one, it happened in Redeem, The bride had gone for an abortion some days to the wedding because she was a chorister and wanted to wed in the church, but the wedding day pregnancy test conducted by the church chosen doctor still showed that she was pregnant, the wedding was also canceled.

She's not smart.The pregnancy hormone HCG will still be high in the blood for some time even though the feotus has been evacuated.
She didn't have to abort.Just go and wed in the registry,shikena.

I hear you.The same white man's rules you observed while in school.
There are some places in Nigeria where they won't conduct traditional wedding for you if the bride is pregnant so it's not a white man's thing.

Then they should abide by the rules of the church.It's not so hard.

It is not by force to go to church.No one makes it mandatory to have a church wedding.However,if you decide to have a church wedding,there are principles guiding the church and you should abide by them.

It doesn't work that way.It is written,'not by might,nor by power but by My Spirit saith the Lord'.
It is not by being a disciplinarian that guarantees that children will turn out right,it's grace.Some of the greatest disciplinarians have bad children and usually rebellious ones.No man has enough fleshly powers to raise up good children.
Being a priest or pastor requires that you ensure rules and order are adhered to.It doesn't make you the best,it just puts you in that position of the law enforcer.

They were punished so why are you making it look like they didn't even get as little as a reprimand?
They didn't even conduct a wedding.We are talking about conducting wedding services for pregnant women here.

congrats on your anniversary! I don't just knw why Nigerian Cleric will just be acting as if they are GOD!! A similar event happened in my church dat year! The pastor canceled a wedding because the bride was pregnant dat was abt few weeks to d wedding!! Withing 2 months, our pastor's son impregnated a girl in the choir!! It was a public show, they settled it and everything was normal! Withing one and a half years that same pastor son impregnated the same Girl again!

Did they conduct a wedding for them in church?
A pastor can only try to raise his children but has no control over their actions.It would be right to have the pastor's son and the chorister punished.

Not true.Not all churches condone disorderliness or irresponsibility.
The standard in mosr churches is to have the test done on the day before the wedding.
She has been a member of the church and she knew the rules.There's nothing new the church was to tell her.

You know the church has rules and standard and if you decide to be a member and even a worker then you should abide by the rules.
When you decided to get pregnant,you should not have bothered with the church and simply go to the registry.

You can codedly collect your husband's sample and take the child for testing yourself.
If the child is his, then no need to worry. Repent of the adultery (as you seem to have) and move on.

If it's not his, then you just have to tell him. There's really no other choice.
You can't really expect anyone to sincerely say that you should hide such info from him if it happens not to be his child.

The earlier the better too.

Op,you have to sort it and face the consequences.The child might be your husband's afteral and if the child isn't,it's better your husband knows(and the real father).
