The disciples were all born again,they worked with Christ,still,they were unable to speak in tongues.Why?..because the GIFT of speaking in tongues wasn't bestowed not until the day of pentecost...
Read ACT 2:1-4...its clearly written there....

So,I disagree with you where you said that one has the gift of speaking when he becomes born again,if that is so,the disciples of Christ wouldn't have waited that long before the started speaking in tongues.

I would like you to show me where Jesus made a statement to contradict what Job said. Show me where he negated Job's statement.

Even in the Parable of the Talents, the master (who is God) took away the one talent from the third servant.
He gave him one talent and he also took it away(because the servant didn't invest it).

That was Jesus' parable openly showing where God gave and also took away; openly supporting the statement that Job made.
Yet here u are claiming that Job spoke in error.

You need to understand that the fact that some things were written in the bible does not mean that they were the will of God for our lives.The bible is put together so we can have a total package.That is where discernment and what the bible calls the understanding comes in.There were things spoken or written by men(even prophets) in the Bible that were their expressions based on their limited understanding and weakness.
Jesus who did not have that limited knowledge and Who God gave the highest level of understanding came to show God's will for our lives.

When you receive Christ and the infilling of the Holy Spirit,that is when the gift of speaking in tongues is imparted to you.
Once you have received it,it's in you.You don't have to wait again for it to come from heaven.All you need to do is stir it up from within you.

I believe the "SPIRIT" has to give us the utterance.

Speaking in tongues is a GIFT,just as the gift of prophecy,healing etc...

Many Christians do not yet understand that they have the infilling of the Holy Spirit(as many as have received Him) and that He dwells in them as the bible says.

When you accept Christ,you receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gift of speaking in tongues.
Once you have received the gift,you have it in you.All you have to do is stir it up as the Scripture says.You don't. Have to wait for it fom heaven as you think Op.

When the pastor says speak in tongues,it means stir it up because it's in you if you have received it.

There are some who try to teach or form it however.For every real,there must be a fake.
