it is not limited to any church,most church nowadays practice it.it is called churching and it refers to a blessing that mothers were given following recovering from childbirth after remaining at home for 4-6wks after giving birth,she would go to church for thanksgiving for the safe delivery of her child and receive blessing from the priest

Some churches may practice that(selected orthodox churches),but it has no Christian backing.
Old testament jews practised it but remember,they were not Christians.

The time you check your blood pressure matters.If you've been running about town or stressed before you take your Bp,it might be high.Before you take your Bp,sit and relax for a few minutes,then take it.
Don't be worried about your Bp except you check it repeatedly and it is still high.
