ebyjoyken: yes I almost divorced,Even paid a lawyer. Please don't contradict God's words. There is no marriage without problem. And if couples were to leave their partners because of cheating the population of married couples won't be up 1% in the world. She will bear it and with God she will conquer all. There is no marital problem God cannot fix. If you don't mind sharing,I'm actually interested in why you decided to stay. |

An unrepentant womaniser.......
While i won't say you should give up on the marriage just yet,you should move out.Help him get therapy from a sex therapist.Give him time to see if there would be a change.
I doubt if he just started cheating after marriage,he has always been that way.Unfortunately, many young ladies don't know how to catch womanisers. |

dominique: If reverse was the case, the men here will advise that the husband should send her packing at once. Nigerians and double standards. That's not true.I work close to the HIV clinic so I know it's not true. Perhaps you meant Nairaland men and double standards. SAMBARRY: are you surprised . In fact the whole family and neighbours will know
what I'm surprised about is why bible quoters have not come to quote bible in 1st corinthians that love is patient and kind and endures through every circumstance Indeed love is patient and kind.I have seen a few cases where the man is negative and the wife is positive. They have kids and the man loves his wife and wants to keep his family together. He chooses to support his wife. By the way,sex is not the only way to get HIV.Some have gotten it through blood transfusion or the case i know from contacts during an accident. ayab66: The was not aware of the sickness until when the was seriously sick and they went to hospital and the husband got to know and still he did not inform the wife.it was after like three months after the wife saw the letter given to from the hospital referring him to him to teaching hospital about his retroviral status that makes him to confess And start begging her not to leave him when the wife went for her own test and she is negative, maybe he was thinking both of them are positive only god knows what was on his mind.and him already has a grown up daughter. This is where I have a problem. The man hid his status from the woman and only confessed becauseshe saw the letter. He would have been having unprotected sex with her during that time.Sheer wickedness. The woman should leave if she wants to.Good thing they don't have kids yet. The woman is not yet clear though. She has to run another test in 3 months' time. |

A bit too extreme in my opinion. What's wrong with teaching with diagrams like in a biology class?
Experience is not the best teacher.Wisdom is the best teacher. You also can learn from the experience of other people and not necessarily have to go through the experience. |

Kimoni: It's soo annoying when girls blame everything and everyone for their predicament.
Because I am a girl...because the guy is Yoruba..societal pressure...it's the devil...where does this blame game really ends? How can these girls ever move forward if they don't realise their folly?
How on earth is anyone else to blame in this story if not the lady herself. I tire o.It's always easier to blame someone or something else. |

KanwuliaJara: In this day and age, women are still careless about their REPRODUCTIVE health even WHEN FACED WITH UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS/MARRIAGES?
Talk about poor choices!
1. You dey school go carry belle?
I don't think being a boy instead of a girl would have helped you much. No hope for people like YOU with your inability to use "common sense"!
Good luck! One of those times,I'll strongly align with Kanwuliajara. In this day and age, girls can't take full responsibility for their reproductive health? The problem is not that you came into the world as a girl, the problem is that you fail to use that thing in your skull. If you were a guy you'll still make decisions that will probably put you in prison. Brace up to life as a single mother and make the best of your future. |

You can't serve your father's religion,it is God you serve.A relationship with God is what really matters.Without any apologies, you can only have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Do you still live with your father? Are you schooling and is he responsible for your upkeep?
I'll say avoid conflict with him as much as possible while you are dependent on him.Serve God with your heart but follow your dad if he wants you to. |

There's a lot of distrust in the world today.A lot of men who had women start with them when they had nothing have been disappointed by the men even after building such men with their resources. Some women because of the experience of their mothers or aunts have taken this position.I wonder however why any woman would marry a man she can't trust in the first place. If there's a reason to hide such projects from your hubby,it might be better to not be in the marriage in the first place. |

LOClass: My first post and wow thanks op. I felt like you posted this to me. I screen grabbed your story, I'm going to keep reading it everyday till the end of the year. You made me really ask myself why I'm liking this potential interest, despite the fact that he's one of those on an off guys, noticed he's character is not that great, but I chose to over look it while telling myself he has flaws just like everyone else. No doubt he likes me, so does other guys, but the only reason I'm putting him above the others is his looks. Sad I know, don't judge me guys, almost everyone is guilty of it.
Thank you. Now you know. It's good so you don't make the same mistake as the Op. |
