Otoge: Is that all, this and the following epistle where you were apologising for being a tout? That is all you could do after you banned me from mentioning you and I still did? I thought you'd shit bees make dem sting you properly. I said what i said to you. it's okay if i struck a nerve, it's also okay to dey behave like earthworm dem pour salt, i understand. But I will be here for quite a while, so you must learn to deal with my presence and any response i deem fit for any question. Go whack a mole or something, cos it'd be a more productive thing to do than tendering another response or snide remarks, trust me. You can be here forever if you want, chose to be fighting and choose to remain behind when people are moving forward with their lives. Good riddance! |

Good Morning Everyone,
I’d usually not do this but I have to because Otoge in particular decided to make a fool of himself when he came for me when I had no business with him. I have followed this thread since part 7 and interacted with a number of people albeit a short engagement. On this thread, I interacted with Johnny Bravo, BlissNenye, Funsho and a couple of others who have all been helpful. On this thread, I have asked for help when my Unilag transcript seemed stuck, I have also given advise on same procedure and responded to several emails on same process. I believe the essence of this thread is to share experiences and help other avoid mistakes we made. If anyone lands here today and asks a question that an answer has been provided to in the past (the famous page 1) be polite in directing them to the appropriate page and giving advise. I haven’t had an interaction with Otoge but tonight I took my time to read his responses to people and can tell he is a very nasty and uncultured fellow who believes he is gifted in sarcasm and decides to advertise his innate stupidity in his responses to people on this thread. This thread is really the beginning of everyone’s journey, you will get the PR and still need help and information when it’s time to land and you’ll need people here too. Be thoughtful, be kind when responding and if you cannot accord people with courtesy, don’t respond at all. It’s simple. Otoge, if you decide to prove your stupidity, I am ready to slug it out with you till you learn sense and learn online etiquette. The manners you didn’t learn as a child and in your formative years, you will learn on this thread and learn in life. Manners is very important in Canada and any other foreign country if you haven’t been informed. Don’t take your jungle and primitive behavior so you don’t have problems where you are going to. |

muvey10: The truth is whether you have been on this platform for 100 years. Respect everyone. If someone’s question pisses you off, ignore it, no insults, no trolling etc. Just scroll pass. When nobody answers the person, the person would do the needful. I see a lot of rude and degrading comments on this platform, it’s a pity!!! It’s not just degrading, it defeats the purpose of this platform. If you cannot answer a question or feel it’s too stupid, just ignore. You don’t even know who is who on this thread or how a thoughtful your response might be helpful in future. People should learn to be polite and kind or just keep quiet if you cannot be that. |

Dear all,
My friend got the letter from GTBank HR but the reference letter stated a non-immigrant visa was required. Even though her letter stated she required a job reference letter. That clause in the letter calls for concern. How does she proceed? Does she inform HR that it’s for immigration purpose and get their feedback or does she explain I’m her LOE that her organization won’t give her a reference letter as long as she is still employee of GRBank |

Prettiepearlz: In whatever your friend does, he or she shouldn't try to use GTB letter head paper in case he/she is in a department that has access to it. It will not end well. As far as I know, I do not think GTB issues offer letter to anyone ( I stand to be corrected). Your friend may need to get his or her supervisor or even a colleague to help write the letter on a plain paper and possibly notarize it and then back it up with a LOE. Thank you. We just want to know the exact content of the letter. It will aid her in speaking with her supervisor and explaining why she wants a letter from him. |

Good evening people,
Putting this out there just incase anyone experiences the same challenge as me. I received an ITA the last FSW draw but as i haven’t logged into my account in a long time, I forgot my password. Not just that, I forgot one or more answers to my secret questions. I tried several answers and on my 5th try I was locked out and had to wait for 24hrs. I tried again this night and same issues, I was locked out again. I asked a couple of people how I could unlock my account and no one could help. So this is how you go about it, once you create your profile make sure you save all your information like your application number, UCI and make sure you DON’T open your account with false information. If you are locked out, simply create a new profile and choose the option of linking your old account/application. You will need to provide some details so your previous application can be matched with the new profile. Choose the easy questions like your name, dob, passport details. They’ll also provide a question of choice for you to answer. Once you provide correct answers, your account will be linked immediately.
Better still, save yourself this stress by saving your account information including passwords when you open your account so you don’t panic like me.
All the best to everyone who got an invite and fingers crossed for everyone awaiting the ITA, it will come in bit.
Cheers. |

MaziObiagu1: eeeh lemme respond to this real quick. I don’t know if it’s the same with IELTS British Council tho, but REMARKING WORKS! It has worked very well for me.
I wrote my first IELTS: 8.5,8.5,7.5,6.5 respectively. 6.5 for writing. For the second exam, I concentrated on the writing and still got 6.5 in writing!!! I knew what I wrote. I was literally devastated. I applied for remarking and my 6.5 was changed to an 8! 1.5 bands were added! My speaking also moved half band from 7-7.5. So I had 8,8,7.5,8 on the second try and that’s what I needed. My 15k was refunded. I didn’t even care! I was more than happy to get my 8.
Yes my case is an exemplification of grace cos me sef no expect to see band 8. But this is how it works. Generally, you can get half or one band when we apply for remarking. This applies to Speaking and Writing only cos the examiner uses your language production to access your level of English Language proficiency. So it allows for a bit of DISCRETION. But when it comes to reading and listening, it’s like OBJ. It’s either you get it right or you don’t. No discretion.
So if you are looking for a half band or one band in WRITING OR SPEAKING, please ask for a remark. It clearly stated, remarking for reading and listening is a gamble. Everyone knows you can remark writing and speaking. |

smithval: Good evening everyone. Please, I have some issues with my Wes verification. My school sent my transcript to Wes via courier, UPS precisely and gave me a tracking code. The package/transcript has been delivered to Wes 7 days ago as shown by ups, but Wes is yet to acknowledge receipt of package and my profile still shows
STATUS :ON HOLD. WE ARE WAITING FOR YOUR DOCUMENTS.
Please my question is, how long does it take for Wes to acknowledge receipt of credentials? Mine is about a week now, yet no acknowledgement I've sent emails but I haven't had any luck with that either. As long as package was signed off by Maple, call them and let them know your package is with them. Give them the tracking no and ask them when it will be updated. If they don’t respond after 48hrs, call again and don’t stop calling till your status is updated. It’s about 3pm there now, so you can call them today so it can be sorted by Monday if possible |

FarmGang: Waoh. I just tried to do it on Unilag website. The charge is now 30k (DHL delivery). I requested for my transcript only for now. Does this mean if I want to also request for statement of result I will pay another 30k making it 60k?? No sir you won’t. The 30k includes verification fee now as far as I know. For the statement of result, select the option of picking up yourself cos even if you pay for courier, Unilag will not send your result to you. I paid twice and ended up picking it up myself. And SOR is not 30k, it’s about 5k and if it has increased, shouldn’t be over 10k. Does this clarify your concern? |

Good Morning Everyone, putting this info out for pre-ECA candidates with a degree from Unilag that they want to evaluate. I hope this information helps, you can PM me if you need further clarifications.
PS/Disclaimer: I do not work in Unilag and this is only based on my personal experience when I was in the ECA process.
As far as I know, Unilag does not engage the services of ETX-NG so you have to apply for your transcript via the records portal- records.unilag.edu.ng
* Click on new application/track applications * Tick the box for the program you wish to evaluate and select unique destination * Document Type is Transcript * Destination is North American Countries * Dispatch method is courier service (private) * Enter WES Address * Click on proceed and pay online
If you have a contact, follow up with prayers and supplication for speedy processing
If you are yet to receive your certificate from Unilag, follow the steps above and repeat steps but request for your statement of result to be sent to your address. It’s this SOR that will be sent to WES in place of your certificate. This is important because WES will only complete your ECA when they verify your SOR and transcript from the University of Lagos
It’s also important to note that even if you pay for courier for your SOR, you’ll need to pick it up yourself as the courier fee is a joke to Unilag, they will not send your result via courier to you.
Also remember to be prayerful cos Unilag can give you serious headache during the wait period but with God everything is possible.
God who did for everyone here will complete yours too and we will all testify. |
