It came into mainstream news based on a demand notice that Kaduna State charges N10,000 per month as "ROYALTIES" on boreholes. The Governor claims that this arrangement is for commercial establishments. The fact that water is a public utility that should be provided by the state failing which most people have to sink their own boreholes appears lost on the Governor.

One thing one must give this APC goverment is that they are ridiculously smart and capable when coming up with excuses to create "job for the boys". The inflow from VAIDS is an estimate, the advert bill is not. The inflow "justifies" the advert bill as a minute percentage of the expected inflow. In the future when the inflow is abysmally low or not forthcoming no one remembers that some people pocketed N1.5 billion. Very smart. |
You supported and still support corrupt and inept male individuals with the excuse that a corrupt and inept Jonathan needed to be voted out, what exactly is this 'outburst' meant to achieve? |
We dey look! Why in a government headed by a self styled and 'nationally' proclaimed "Mai Gaskiya" (the truthful one) allegations of corruption must FIRST trail the accused for MONTHS before any action is taken (case in point SGF who up till recently Prof Sagay defended) is nothing short of odoriferous hypocrisy. Because person lepa no mean sey him no dey chop plenty. The simple scientific explanation is that the person has a higher than normal metabolism. Nigerians make una chop your "L" and no try dis kain tin next time! There is too much at stake.

There's a problem here, A true patriot would have used the opportunity of this interview to provide this information to the President. (What's so secretive about casting looters at this point). Unless, he 1. Doesn't have the information 2. Doesn't trust the Presidents men 3. Doesn't trust the President |
Okay, here goes... Like if you're convinced N17m will be spent on Cutleries Share if you don't ![]() |

Great! However, just wait and watch how Lagos State Government will make cataclysmic efforts to appeal the judgement. You hired a new housekeeper, sent her to the market, she returns with a few rotten fruits and no change, "what did you do with my money?" you ask, "None of your business!" she replies Progrethieves have realised that all they have to do is bribe their way to power in cash and kind and pay for PR. |

Chop chop goverment. "Run a 215MW power plant on diesel" Nigerians don't seem to realise how lucrative a corrupt goverment is! From white elephant projects (Tinapa, New Ikeja Bus Station) to creating avenues to leech on the State or Nation's Commonwealth (Lekki toll gate) to bizarre projects (Statuekorocha). and then you think you are 'smart' because you collected N1500 to vote when you are not the contract that will supply diesel to the power plant? |
Before? |

Truth, Sincerity of Purpose, Fidelity, Vision and Capacity can turn the tide on the miasma of putrid corruption, ineptitude, ethno-religous manipulation that encapsulates our Nation. three:

The "ultra modern" jetty takes 5% of the land. What happens to the rest? Meanwhile there IS a reason Environmental Impact Assessments are done BEFORE developments not after. Wait first, make the sand filling push Third Mainland bridge enter BARIGA na dat time people eye go clear. |
One of the reasons in my opinion for the so called whistleblower act is to legitimately reloot looted money. Another is to launder funds that were looted but have been 'orphaned' This whistleblower was not part of the racket (the Ikoyi billions were not supposed to have been discovered) hence the reason he has not been paid.

What budget? Not only is APC visionless (converse is the case when it comes to misappropriation) they are deviously reckless. How do you hinge a Nations 2018 budget on the same indices that caused the non execution of 80% of the 2017 budget. Notice however that while they couldn't fund a number of key sectors, they were able to raise N700 MILLION for Mines & Steal "Website". |
APC have absolutely no intention to fight corruption. They think Nigerians are stupid. That's how much they despise Nigerians. The examples are too numerous too list. We are literally back to where we were this time 2014 Check out the story below. No one needs to mock APCs fight against corruption when they're doing a very good job of it themselves. Meanwhile the leader of their party converted a whole local goverment council's land on no less prominent than King's Way Road but still has the effontery to call others corrupt. That's how foolish they think we are. .... Mock ko WAEC ni ![]() Anonimi thanks for the Asukwo cartoon

Hmm... If acquiring a fiefdom is a sign of success. These two are very successful individuals. If however, patriotic entrenchment of a legacy of national and personal development, good healthcare, shelter, uninterrupted power, a unified and secure nation and a paradigm shift in the State craft of the world's most populous black nation are the signs of success then these two are abysmal failures. |

By Isah Abbas Ahmed Recently, Kaduna State Governor was quoted saying about 21,780 out of 33,000 Kaduna State teachers failed primary four test conducted by the state government to know the ability of the teachers. Questions were drawn from different areas with only that of religious knowledge teachers set focusing on their subjects. To be fair to both the governor and primary school teachers, I decided to keep mute until I lay my hands on the scoresheet of the competency test, which I was privileged to get last week. While going through the scoresheet, I discovered that, unlike 33,000 teachers mentioned by the governor, 34,197 (4,940 Arabic/IRK, 1,638 CRK and 27,629 other subjects) teachers actually wrote the competency test (Table 2). As howled by many, the cut-off mark set by the Governor as pass mark did not comply with West African Standard Grading System where acceptable Credit mark starts from 50% not 75% as used by the governor (Table 1). If we take this standard grading system as the ideal situation, from the scoresheet, it can be deduced that; of the 34,197 teachers, 31,102 (91%) passed while only 3,095 (9%) failed the competency test. However, if we decide to stick to the governors cut-off mark, going by the categorization in the summary from the attached scoresheet, it can be deduced that 17,473 (51%) of the 34,197 teachers scored 70 – 100% while 16,724 (49%) failed according to him. In addition, to arrive at the number El-Rufa’i was quoted saying they failed his test, there are 5,056 teachers who scored 70 – 74% and are also categorized as failed by him. In every sane system, we expect that whenever a test of this nature was conducted, there will be those who will pass overwhelmingly, those who will be within average and those who will fail completely. In this case, what I expected the Governor to do, while still going by his cut-off mark (75%), is to take these categories and acted thus: 1. The 12,417 teachers who scored at least 75% should be retained. 2. The 18,685 teachers who scored 50 – 74% should be subjected to extensive training and re-tested after which if they failed to improve, should be redeployed to other available places to work. 3. The 3,095 teachers who scored 0 – 49% should be redeployed or sacked as the Governor deem fit. WRONGLY TOTALLED SCORES After obtaining the scoresheet of Kaduna State’s controversial Competency Test, I decided to verify marks obtained by each participant starting with that of Arabic/IRK Teachers in Zaria Local Government. There are five questions whose marks are distributed thus; Question 1 carries 40 marks while Questions 2, 3, 4 and 5 carries 15 marks each. These, if totaled, will give you 100 marks. While verifying the scoresheet, on the very first record, I discovered that the Total did not speak to the individual marks obtained for each question. That is, the person scored 38/40, 09/15, 13/15, 12/15 and 14/15 in questions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively. Applying simple arithmetic of 38+9+13+12+14 will give you total of 86% marks obtained not 72% as recorded for same person. Following this, I decided to focus on those with low marks and to my surprise, 99.9% of their marks were wrongly computed. I then stopped at the fifth page after discovering that 45 (See table 3) out of the 161 records had this same problem and almost all of them turned out score at least 75% but were wrongly recorded to have scored less than 75% which puts them at ‘Failed” category. With this, I will like to call on NUT officials of all the 23 LGAs to sit down and follow their scoresheet diligently and painstakingly verify the summation. This will drastically bring down the failure rate. To Governor El-Rufai, I will like to draw your attention to this and recommend that you punish the consulting company you hired to conduct this test for making you portray our dear state bad in the eyes of the world using wrong statistics. In addition, it will be nice if you ask another firm to verify simple summation of the marks obtained in order to get correct proportions. Finally, I wish to categorically state that you owe good people of Kaduna State undiluted apology for painting us black where we are not. Pictures of the first 5-pages of Zaria LGA Arabic/IRK Teachers scoresheet are attached for public consumption. All the 45 records I verified are indicated therein. Anybody who wish to, can do the totals to further confirm my claim. Kaduna State still remains “Center of Learning”! https://www.thecable.ng/kaduna-teachers-competency-test-untold-story/amp

Hmmm.... #CleanUpOrCLEANOUT Wey Madam Amina Mohammed? |
So sad... The capacity of a government in 2017 is reduced to 'reactions'. Everything is politicised. If only APC were sincere even if their victory at the polls surprised them, two years is just about enough time to observe direction and improvements to the polity via the presence of purposeful leadership. The converse is the case. The way they are wrecking this country shows that they have no intention staying back in Nigeria if they lose 2019 elections. Enough politicians, SAs and government functionaries go dey form exile. |

Ipheyemmy01:You are right. It happened in Ogun State. The parents however live in Lagos. Mirabel centre (collectors of the forensic evidence) are domiciled in Lagos. If domestic and sexual violence is to be accorded the importance it deserves I doubt 'jurisdiction' would inhibit the authorities in Lagos in leaning heavily on all concerned to ensure justice is done. |
