(Eko) / Lagos State needs to prove that it's domestic and sexual violence emergency number is not just for show |
massinola:VERY insightful that two and a half years plus after inauguration and 2 years plus after being sworn in as Minister, he by his own admission has not stopped the corruption he speaks of. |
These dudes are just too funny it literally hurts. Why not extend the audit to your tenure? Why stop in May 2015? So anyone who's fraudulent during the tenure of this goverment will probably not be audited till after it? |

Hmm.... Of more interest is how efficient and transparent the new system will be and how it'll stand up to deliberate systematic abuse |
"because we can't operate beyond our capacity, besides fa, this system is more rewarding. We will perform better in 2019" |
So sad. A goverment based on nepotism, tribalism and cronyism at the expense of conscientious competence never ends well. Abeg make dis people no carry dia reggae spoil Naija peepu disco. May lives not be lost to this rancid and utterly irresponsible ineptitude. |
Okay, but it is more probable that it is APC that will remove themselves from Lagos by themselves. Nothing lasts forever politically. Ask Robert Mugabe |
Appears Babachir was simply a messenger which is why he hasn't been charged. |
If no be message wey dem send am why him neva dey EFCC? |
Nice proposal. Ribadu is politically taciturn |
Really? The Nigerian army and police (other paramilitary organs inclusive) have always exhibited a level of detribalisation due to repeated postings outside states of origin. This is a good thing. However, the ability to speak a second language within the rank and file (and officer class) appears skewed historically to one major language. This policy if implemented effectively and sincerely should balance this. One Nigeria please, no faffing around and politicising ethnicity. We're better (and more efficient) together in a JUST & FAIR Nigeria for Everyone regardless of race, tribe or religious conviction. |
Jiang:Nice going!.. Many Nigerian young people are not Visionary or ambitious, just waiting for a bus going somewhere so they can hop on. Never thinking, why can't I drive the bus, own the bus, fuel the bus, determine where the bus goes.... The demographics are on our side (we will pay for today's mistakes or enjoy today's deft development moves). Choose a consensus candidate. Online/offline... Whatever. Turn out massively to vote. Protect the votes. Win the election with our man or woman in charge. |
Unfortunately, those with morality, ethics, principles and good sense to not vote for money ONLY vote on twitter and nairaland. Most of dem no get voters card sef. |
Dis Baba still wan travel |
Shameless inept goverment |
The Governor is under pressure for attention. The one up there is claiming victory in sacking 20k teachers (after 2½ years of his goverment). The one down there is an artist, commissioning statues left right and centre so that when people say they are hungry and need jobs he'll just direct them to the statues. |

Action Plan? Let's hope the Minster and Co finally follow through https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/230747-fashola-talks-tough-threatens-sanction-electricity-distribution-companies.html

Land is Lagos's Oil |
"A.. You will surely go to jail Unless I am your friend fa" Babachir Lawal, Maina Oke and Co are all in jail obviously |
Congrats! to Seun, mods and all Nairalanders |
Fantastic Spirit |
It could be argued that they are only being patriotic and would like the honour of treating Mr. President if he is ill. They stand a better chance doing this by practicing outside the country. |
Silly government It would seem they finally realised the folly in attempting to appropriate funds that were not theirs. A legal nightmare with possible class action suits. Someone gave someone money, one says 'from now on you must reregister to use your account', the second person says I no gree. What should happen next is you return the money. If in the process of returning the money you are able to audit how the person came into possession of the money, Fine! Saying the money should become yours however, is mere banditry. |
Even if APC is booted out in 2019 they still have a year and a half to pillage and wreck this country. three: |
ivandragon:Right in your very before, these guys will sell Nigeria ...all because person na lepa una talk say him no dey chop. three:Nigerians are the answer to politicians' prayers - industriously docile and creatively nepotisitic. #CleansweepBuhari Nigerians don't read. This is straight out of Jeffrey Archer's 12 Red Herrings (Cleansweep Ignatius) but Nigerians don't read and that is why Buhari surprises many. Imagine! Wreck something and then get the owner to pay to fix it! Sounds familiar. APC is a road side Nigerian Mechanic |
Nigeria: Sharing National Cake since 1960 https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/08/11/fashola-merger-of-three-ministries-was-a-cost-saving-measure/ |
The Kaduna Governor is a masterful manipulator |
What manner of Attorney General is this? |
9jakohai:Sadly, no real alternative on this specific issue. The Nigerian "establishment" has been manipulating the masses from day one. We need to at the very least break that cycle of manipulation TODAY in anticipation of stellar leadership in 2019. |
That's all folks! Buhari is too old to experience the pains of paying back this loan. Most of those who voted him are/were too young to realise that all the fake promises made will have a cost. Today's youth will be in their twilight years explaining to their children and grand children how they voted for Buhari because they were so emotionally saddled with kicking a corrupt goverment out that they couldn't find a COMPETENT alternative and thus why they (children and grand children) have to pay back loans. PS if you really think moneys from foreign loans will be used to create authentic jobs and build infrastructure in the penultimate year to an election good luck. |
