Even OBJ knows that the only worthy Governor during his Presidency is Tinubu. Tinubu and OBJ fought till the end on matters bordering on State rights vs Federal rights. The only Governor who created extra local governments and stuck to it. The only Governor who new that states had to take ownership of their own power generation. Forget, Tinubu na man and a visionary. Even his detractors still cannot believe he overcame in APC. |
Arysexy:See this baby that does not even know what was obtainable as at 1999/2000. Ignoramus of the year. |
I will obediently vote Tinubu who has proven he is useful in administrative capacity. But I will plead with President Tinubu to consider Peter Obi for a role, so that his political prostitution and desperate ticket hunting will not be in vain. Ambassador to China would be ideal.

They will find that those who claim to be looking for missing oil are the patrons of those stealing it. Corruption is the foundational cell on which Nigerians transact business. Many are currently employed because of a pseudo economy created by corruption. |
Tinubu is the only candidate who saw the need to seize control of power generation from the Federal Government as early as 1999/2000. His Enron IPP would have set Lagos apart from the other states. Obasanjo scuttled it to prevent an opposition Governor from succeeding where OBJ and PDP were determined to fail despite spending $16b in 8yrs. Now he has the chance to set Nigeria apart.

A very strong team member. A real Labour member and leader, unlike the desperate ticket hunter that is a typical anywhere belle face politician. |
A 3rd class brain cannot handle such a sensitive portfolio? |
IPOB and their never ending photosynthesis. While educated Igbos were busy analysing pictures of Buhari, the riff raff IPOB slowly took away their freedom and human rights. |
@renoomokri tweeted: “George Wajackoyah was Kenya’s Peter Obi to a T. He dominated social media. He won every Twitter poll.Obi is now scared that the Twitter candidate in Kenya who is also in his early 60s came 3rd, which is the expectation we all have for Obi in Nigeria. As for the VP who created his own party and moved his well established structure there, it is only confirmatory that you can reap the rewards for work put in over the years, despite the Presidency cabal doing all to stop you. That is the story of Tinubu. I hope Atiku would learn from this and retire in 2023. |
Hydroxide:Dude, learn to react to the specific discussion. This discourse is about the amount he was paid as a political employee, and not about his continued pay even when he had resigned - which is obviously corruption. |
anonimi:I can't really speak on what is obtainable outside Nigeria, but it is desirable that we maintain a semblance of parity between political office pay and civil service pay. Both are public service. You remember that even Okonjo Iweala made it known that she cannot accept a minister's salary in Nigeria, considering what she was earning at the world bank in 2003. Gani Fawehinmi had to take the matter to court to prevent the OBJ regime from paying her more than what other ministers were earning. |
Racoon:How is it corruption? You are more enlightened than this. This is a topic that should elicit interest in a beer parlour or mechanic garage. Political appointments come with better pay than civil service careers. It has nothing to do with the party or President in power. |
Evil genius! |
I remember him. |
Reinaldo:LOL! Bishop Agbadoola Cassavani will forgive your sins. |
citygarden:You mean God has been deliberately giving us bad Presidents all this years? Do you notice how foolish it is to religionize democracy? |
Is this how Obi wants to win election? By pandering to religious fundamentalists? Anyway, e go still sweep floor for Synagogue since e no get anything tangible to boast of as his previous achievements. |
EmekaA125:I agree with you totally. They have even declared that there will be no election in SouthEast. |
Kingpele:Una no dey tire to dey predict bad for Tinubu? Today he is APC candidate that overcame the cabal and anointed/consensus postulations your type busied themselves with. While Obi saw defeat ahead and threw in the towel in PDP, and ran to Labour Party like a thief running away from the law. |
rusher14:But he does not mind if any positive events from Obi's Governorship is celebrated now. |
This was the man they claimed would deal with Tinubu in APC. I laugh when I remember it was just this year.
|
abobote: Okobola146:This fellow is scared that with Lalong, the North Central votes is certain for Tinubu. He cannot even mask his fear. |
rusher14:IPOB did a lot of damage to the mental capacity of the average Igbo. While they were busy analysing pictures and demanding that Buhari must remove his cap, IPOB was slowly entrenching itself as a nuisance that will terrorise the SouthEast. When it comes to speaking up against IPOB, no Igbo leader wants to risk his life. Even when Soludo tried to use a Monday to organise religious services to override IPOB, some church security personnel paid with their lives the next day. As for CAN, they cannot when it concerns IPOB, but they have strength for politics even when Igbos in the SouthEast no longer have democracy or human rights. |
To promote leadership and responsibility in the young, Obi wrote a letter to a headboy. To promote leadership and responsibility in the young, Tinubu made a headboy that had won the Spelling Bee competition organised by his Wife's New Era foundation, a 1day Governor. I let you be the judge of who knows how to mould leaders. |
Ebuka was the 1st of many 1day Governors and Deputy Governors that Remi Tinubu and her husband continue to mentor till today. |
A lot of people claiming to want revolution are just hungry to get to power to become the very tyranny they revolted against. Later they will tell you that Buhari is a dictator who stifles freedom of expression. Isn't this the mannerless fellow that told Pastor Poju Oyemade to "sit down and shut up" just for expressing himself online about the ongoing frenzy of bandwagon support? The narcissistic journalist who claims he was better trained than Nigerian journalists, yet he uses any manner of cuss words to express himself and his delusional ego. |
The genocidist. |
We know that already. Also Tinubu has past accomplishments to project his suitable candidacy. The other guy only has his political prostitution and desperate ticket hunting to show. If not for tribalism, where are those Igbos who lampooned the mediocre performance of Obi in Anambra? If not for tribalism, why would I overlook a finance technocrat that redefined how states in Nigeria grow their economy and IGR, and settle for a stingy fellow who could not improve on the legacy of Ngige that spent only 3yrs?
|
Orobokibo1:He has been thrown to the past and he's stuck there, rather that make references to the past to direct for the future. |
Orobokibo1:It only shows that I ruffle their feathers with my factual reminiscences. |
Those who vote and mobilise supporters are all queueing behind the city boy. Who remembers the clowns that were standing on Tinubu's manhood during the run up for the APC primaries? They even mocked him and said he would be disgraced and would run to the SDP. Tinubu was dogged and steadfast until he accomplished his goal. But their own favourite could not withstand the pressure in PDP, and seeing defeat approaching, he threw in the towel just 1 week to the presidential primary, and ran away to another party where the ticket was easy without any competition. |
