lexy2014:I love your creativity in trying to fill missing gaps that even the news outlets did not report. Did you not hear from the news outlet that it was another aide close to the suspect that exposed the fraudulent activities of his colleague? Did you read anywhere that any specific victim came to report to Aisha Buhari? Let me even entertain your creativity and agree that a victim possibly informed Aisha Buhari that some money was given to a security aide who ought to have transferred same funds to her, then Aisha asked how much. How will the amount stated by 1 or 2 or 3 victims of the fraudster, help Aisha Buhari to know what the total amount was if there were many victims? So I ask you again, who told the total amount? Where did Aisha admit that she knew of that same total amount you read of? Why not pose your questions to those who brought such news and claimed such amount? You asked a critical "got you" question, but it was based on you wrongly assuming she claimed knowledge of that same amount. In the end, there was no "got you", except a fraudster languishing in the cell because they got him, and his job has already been assigned to someone else who would learn not to monetize his/her official access to those at the corridor of power. |
NoToPile:You obviously are educated like your fellow Nigerians, but the difference is that you do not have an agenda to achieve with the crime of the security aide, hence your ability to think clearly and lay blame where it belongs while giving praise where it belongs also. |
eagleeye2:Don't you think these questions would be better answered by those who reported these specific events you are critiquing? Aisha Buhari has released a statement that tells all that is transpiring with the criminal and directed anyone who has given money to the accused thinking it was requested by her, to go collect their money. Besides that, she is not interested in the case, and most likely has another security aide already assigned to her. Let the suspect in police custody and those who chose to give money for no commodity or services rendered, fight over the whereabouts or amount of their money. It does not concern Aisha Buhari and I'm sure that besides this formal statement that was released so that newsmen don't become creative with the matter like Premium Times did, you won't get any further response from her on a matter that is not her problem. |
lexy2014:She has already informed you on what her aide did and what his employers are already doing regarding his crime which is a criminal case still being investigated, but already leaked to the media. Whatever amount it is, is not her business as it is not her money and she has not laid claim to it as Premium Time deliberately falsely reported. Rather she has directed anyone who has been defrauded by the police officer to get their money back from the criminal. She is not the one trying to get any money from the criminal. You mentioned an amount that the news outlets have mentioned, and asking how she knew. I have asked you to show me anywhere in her approved statement that referred to any specific amount. You cannot do so, thus your argument that how come she knew the exact amount is therefore non existent. So logically, you should then enquire from the news outlets how they knew the specific amount they reported when they have not interviewed the accused, nor do they know who exactly was defrauded, nor has the individual whose name was used to defraud mentioned any amount. Besides, how is she supposed to know when it is not her money that was stolen? Or did she claim to have been robbed? |
Even at the World Cup, Iheanacho could not redeem himself. Ozil should be given a special prize for his own pathological laziness. |
lexy2014:Why not ask Premium Times who told you an amount? Or did you see the formal statement mention any amount? Also you can ask the Police employees who arrested and interrogated their own man. Maybe that was the amount arrived at from the interrogation. Or ask any of the cheerful givers. They are the ones that lost money to a criminal. Aisha Buhari has already said she has no business with the case. All those swindled should follow up with their defrauder. |
EVILFOREST:I concur! |
lawlhee:This is the story of a man who chose not to be lazy and waste his time and life typing "God pick my call or lift me up" all over social media, while he grows older with no development. He observed his surrounding environment and learnt of the possibilities. Then most importantly, the government of Lagos State (Ambode) provided an opportunity he availed himself of. Now he is a respectable and well paid employee in the same firm he was just a security officer. He upgraded himself, and I give him all the accolades due to his own effort to learn, to grow, to be creative. |
Ibegtodiffer:But with which money do you want to get higher minimum wage, when the N18k that is too small was the best the FG could do when crude oil was selling above $100/barrel? And the drop in that crude oil price reduced government revenue and reduced state allocations that has led to owed salaries and half salaries in most states with poor IGR? So with what funds will the FG now pay above N18k? Or is crude oil that is running our mono-economy now selling above $200/barrel? As for allegations of opposition sponsoring strikes or protests, that has always been the easier scapegoat of blame. |
NairaMaster1:Premium Times used its own words deliberately chosen to attract interest in the story. I reckon they will soon apologise again like they once did before, just like Dele Momodu too. Now she has given a formal and direct statement on the matter, and directed all those who gave funds to the aide to go collect their money from him. She is not interested in anyone's money and has never stated she was defrauded. Rather the aide defrauded people and not her, but used her name to enable his fraud. Is that too hard to comprehend? |
eagleeye2:Did it come to light that an aide of PEJ was collecting funds on her behalf to her own dismay? Why do we have a rotten conscience in this country? How dare you compare a civil servant billionaire who was keeping funds under false identities which she even fought tooth and nail to reclaim as rightfully hers, with a decent woman who is determined that a corrupt aide must be investigated for enriching himself by collecting funds falsely on her behalf. Or is it that our education is not thorough enough as to have developed minds that are rational and logical in evaluating a simple matter? |
GavelSlam:FarahAideed has sold his soul to the devil all in a bid to oust Buhari. He has pledged that he will never reason again. He must deny his education and logic to embrace "anywhichway" it takes to get Buhari out of the way. I have never found someone who steadfastly embraces idiocy just to get a desired outcome. |
maestroferdi:I can assure you that as per the text in bold, you try your best to be, even rejecting the counsel of your conscience and the wisdom that your education and age attempts to confer. |
She therefore wishes to use this opportunity to inform the general public that she has never sent any of her staff to collect any favours on her behalf or on behalf of her children and will never do so. She is therefore imploring anyone that has been defrauded by Mr. Baban-Inna to get across to him to retrieve whatever he took from them. Mrs. Buhari wishes to reiterate that she will not condone fraudulent behavior by any of her staff.PDP and their sycophants were just trying their best to twist this straight forward affair into a situation that suggest that Aisha Buhari is as corrupt as Patience Jonathan. What I find most intriguing about PDP sycophants is that rather than show remorse for the very obvious cases of corruption involving their party chieftains and presidency, they would rather hope to argue with the most unrelated circumstance, that everyone else is as as corrupt as they are, so their corruption should be disregarded like it never happened. Yet they are the ones wailing and lamenting that there is no development in the country. A country they ruled for 16 out of the last 19yrs. I only pray that God will show such a wicked and corrupt generation, mercy on the last day. |
It is obvious that this want away region will not just be satisfied with separating from Nigeria, they are hell bent on fighting their own internal civil war like South-Sudan after their separation from Sudan. A certain group will continually attempt to force its own beliefs and agenda on the others, without any regards for human rights. It will attempt to define who is Igbo and who is impure. Who conforms to their terror and who does not. Ultimately, it will never tolerate any dissent the likes of which they are currently engaged in. That group is the terrorist organization known as IPOB. A group that has been told to amend its ways and embrace democracy and form a political party to advocate its goals as done in every part of the civilised world. But can a terrorist group ever subject itself to democratic tenets that recognizes the rights of others to hold contrary opinion and pursue their own goals? Can a terrorist group suddenly give up a delusional belief that only they within a homogenous society are right and others are wrong, and those that are wrong must be dealt with by them only who are right? Can a terrorist group suddenly let go of the threats and fear mongering that typifies all terrorist groups? |
deboysben:Because they would rather talk after the rerun election on Thursday. A very wise decision. |
Wiseandtrue:INEC admitted the result you are hoping will be restored was the error which they later corrected. Read the contents and not just reading headlines and hazarding a guess as to the contents. |
Kindly employ only those who are physically, academically and mentally fit for the job. Too many Nigerians see such government agency jobs as their retirement homes. Kudos to the FRSC on this stance. |
Osagie Alonge again! |
Ok |
checkolatunji:FFK will soon inform Nigerians how the Fulani brought development to Nigeria from Futa Jallon, and how cattle and milk is so important to human development. |
maestroferdi:But you celebrate loose canons like Senator Shehu Sank and Timi Frank in APC? |
EasternActivist:Did you read she was expecting such amount? She was informed that a security aide had been collecting funds from people claiming to be collecting it on behalf of madam. Was she not the one that involved the police and SSS to get to the root of this crime? |
Ayodele1987:Power belong only to the voting public, except it is stolen. |
“Yes, I have heard a lot of comments from people saying we may lose Lagos if we didn’t reconsider our stance on the choice of Jide Sanwoolu as our choice for Lagos governor in 2019. I want to assure you that we are not backing out from the project and we are confident that Sanwoolu will emerge as APC governorship flagbearer for Lagos in few days time.Even me being a rabid anti-PDP, will not vote for Jide Sanwo-Olu, so that this arrogant cabal called Mandate Group can flex their muscles while chilling on the reserve bench of opposition party in Lagos, reminiscing on how they scuttled what was theirs for the taking. When a people are too full of themselves to even reconsider their strategy so as to ensure their own self preservation, is it me that will now help them preserve what is not their birthright? It is certain that Ambode will lose a direct primary or an indirect primary without Tinubu's support who imposed him on the party for his 1st term. However, it is time that APC realise that the only good thing they have going in Nigeria is Ambode, regardless of his failures or disregard for party sycophants. APC must be foolish to think what they have working for them is the name of their party. The warning to APC is simple and clear. Sacrifice Ambode, sacrifice Lagos. Teach Ambode a lesson for his disrespect, expect the Lagos electorate to also teach you a lesson for your disregard. |
EasternActivist:Did you read the report saying that she had N2.5b or that a security aide had been corruptly collecting funds supposedly on her behalf? |
KenOne:You know the damnable PDP so well. |
So Wike is also interested in the 2023 elections as a Southerner and is already ensuring he achieves his goal by sacrificing the possibility of a 2 term Northerner president from PDP that will extend past 2023 to 2027. Tinubu as a Southerner is also doing his best to ensure APC wins reelection so that 2023 will be free for him to contest. However, a certain Southern region due to inferiority complex and self induced defeat knowing they have burnt all useful bridges, have already promised that rather than they also contesting and losing to any other Southerner, they would rather enslave themselves to the North like their forefathers did and ensure the North continues to rule as a better option like they attempted but failed in 1993. Even those they are relying upon to help them teach some people a lesson borne out of their hatred, are already making their own plans to become Nigerian president from the South. The agony and misery of the wicked knows no bound. |
chiefolododo:Olododo ti o k'ooto. |
chiefolododo:You mean the same people of Osun who gave approximately the same number of votes to APC as they gave to PDP? If half who support PDP do not forgive Omisore if he aligns with APC, then should the half from APC be the ones to forgive if Omisore aligns with PDP? I insist that Omisore is irrelevant to the present situation. Those who have relevance are the 3498 voters who are registered to vote. Anyone who is serious should engage them as power truly belongs to the people. |
kindnyce:Historical truth and precedence. |
Omololu001:How has the above opinion of yours differed from my opinion you opposed? If Ambode has failed, then APC has indeed failed and should be kicked out regardless of whoever the party presents anew. However, same Ambode has become the epitome of a governor who is independent of the party cabals who have grown hungry having been sidelined by Ambode. The only hope for APC's easy victory and landslide, is that very Ambode. Replace him and it becomes an all comers affair with any reputable candidate winning the governorship, regardless of party affiliation. |
