Just when I was thinking if new episodes of UK Border force would be aired. Now we can look forward to BRAND-NEW episodes.
Ridiculous people!!
Perhaps Abu Qatada's removal from the UK will also be aired(I wish!)

If only these people will just stop wasting Tax payers money on people like Qatada, removal of people who have been in UK for years and now bounty hunters to chase more illegals up. knowing fully well that MAJORITY of the people removed from the UK happen to be victims of circumstance, trying so hard to eke a decent living and will do if given an opportunity!

Martian: and if you really sit down and meditate on all the evidence; you will realise that Obama is a Reptilian and also a covert agent of the Romulans from the planet opposite of Planet kolob in the constellation of the bear. Abraham Lincoln was killed because he found out that the the Pyramids were warehouses used by ancient aliens during their quest for gold. John wilkes Booth was an ancient alien who was contracted by the Illuminati in conjuction with the Rosicrucians to assasinate Lincoln. Sitchin and Von Daniken were emissaries of the Anunaki fromt the Planet X and they were right about the Nazca lines being air strips for the Ancient aliens.
NASA was started by the Illuminati and the knowledge they use for their space travel is based on the secrets found with the holy grail about the aliens who were mining gold in Mars during the time of the dinosaurs.........
Illuminati have also used the knowledge for banking, music, movies, and controlling governments. George Washington was a Grand Master Level 7 in the illuminati, and the United States was created to further this agenda.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Common Interview Questions And How To Answer Them by Ticklishmummy(f): 12:34pm On Nov 12, 2012
What Are Your Weaknesses?

Remember being asked this at the second stage of an interview and I jokingly said,I am not sure this will be of any relevance to you and the role in particular but if you must know its Coca-Cola. Just 2 people on the panel;the group fulfillment manager and HR Coordinator, they just looked at each other and burst into laughter. Didn't sound funny to me but it did to them, dunno why. grin

That was the last question I got asked before the interview ended but the group fulfillment manager(reporting to her now) said to me as I left, ''you are a smart woman and that was a really smart answer, threw us off guard.By the way, what did you study and I answered HR''. HR coordinator looked at me(funny look on her face)and said ''I see!!''

I had barely opened my door before I got a phone call back from them ''You are hired, please confirm your notice period with your current employer again...bla bla bla'' and the rest they say is history.

sigba: Pls i dont understand what u mean by using a cover letter, i'l appreciate if u explain. Thanks.
A CV won't be able to give as much information as you'd like a cover letter does the perfect job of providing as much information as you wish to give out, from job experience, skills and competencies to personal attributes, goals, objectives etc.You would usually send it off with your CV to employers and it makes your application stand out and gives you a better chance cos you giving out more relevant information to the employer.

Hope that helps.

pastormustwacc: This is serious. If the child is prone to nightmare or the child is chronically ill e.g. a sickle-cell, asthma, epilepsy. Special considerations should be taken.
I don't know about epilepsy and asthma but children with sickle cell can be encouraged to sleep in their own room from a tender age.By the way,if you read the topic again, you'd agree with me it doesn't look like the OP intended for a digression such as this.

Justosaus: an agbo a day may seem to keep d doctor away, because u refuse to see him. But den with time u may find urself becoming a ''perpetual customer'' to d doctor when the damages done by both the agbo (the constituent herbs of which u don't know) and the illness which you have refused to treat properly (i.e seeing trained doctors). Pls a word is enough for the wise, visit a specialist doctor when you are sick, most of these herbal concotions are dangerous in the long run, especially to your kidneys, liver, etc
Same way most meds prescibed by the Doctor also have their side effects.

When it comes to herbs and meds prescibed by the doctors.Nothing is entirely safe but Genuine herbs work wonders if its not abused.

TravelRe: Bounty Hunters For Illegal Immigrants In U.K. by Ticklishmummy(f): 5:39am On Nov 10, 2012
Well, well, well another white elephant project waiting to gulp the tax payers money! Bounty hunters to track down immigrants, means more jobs, now who are those that will be employed? The very people the project is intended to track down.At the end of the day only a few scape goats will be caught cos a large proportion will be employed already to do the job.It will then be a classic case of it takes a thief to catch a thief, what a joke!
Already, loads of these people they intend to track down have found alternative means around it cos they have to earn a living. The ideal thing would have been to grant long standing illegal immigrants a status, many have established a family life here, become parents of children born in the UK and until recently article 8(Human rights treaty or whatever its called) seemed to do the trick for many illegal immigrants, all they had to do was apply for leave to remain on a discretionary basis. Now there's been debates to stop the use of article 8,not sure what the outcome of this is but the question is why remove people from the country when the borders are not even strengthened enough? Loads of Asian and East European Nationals cross the border on a daily basis!(Thanks to UK border force on TV)

Oyinbo no dey work oooo, only to collect benefit and do reality shows na wetin them sabi be dat.Even to go school na herculean task for most of them. They want to be celebrities over night. So if they planning to remove people, they they should also have a plan in place to force all those benefit recipients to work cos this economy thrives on the immigrant workforce and whether they choose to realise and acknowledge this is a story for another day.

besides i dont bliv in vacations and weekend trips for romance or spending time. i bliv in everyday romance.
I understand your point clearly and was trying to make you understand that with or without the kids around, you and your hubby can still enjoy every day romance. There's a million and one things to do you know if you are not someone who really buys the idea of vacations and weekend getaways.
I know its a matter of choice for you but its worth giving the advantages and disadvantages of boarding schools a thought.

goofie: i will send my kids to boarding school but maybe not from primary school.

it teaches them to be independent and it wld also give me and my husband a lot of alone time.

bonding wit kids cn alwys be done. der r kids dt went to day schools and are not as close with their parents as the ones that went to boarding schools.
its about the times u spend.not how long but how well. i went to a boarding school and am closer 2 my mum than my sis dt went to a day school.
Permit me to say,but you dont have to send your kids to boarding school before you can have a LOT of time with your hubby. You can plan weekend getaways, long vacations, theres loads of things you can do and trust me kids are understanding, even the very little ones. You dont need to take them to boarding at all because whether you like it or not, those are the people who will spice up your relationship when it looks like things are boring. You will definitely need them around.
FamilyRe: Should A Primary Child Be In A Boarding School? by Ticklishmummy(f): 4:39pm On Nov 08, 2012
At such tender age? Why would any mother even think of such? My daughter is going to be two and am in full time employment. The child minder makes it as a point of duty to send me pictures, photos and I tell you what,it gets me thinking sometimes!
Some of them are just so funnyyyy, like I even feel jealous someone else is sharing such bonding moments with my child and here's me missing out on some moments that will never come back! First day at work,I cried and cried my boss had to tell me to go home sef! But hey, pickin no go live for busstop naa, mummy and daddy has to work!
Every moment of a child's formative years are priceless and trust me,funnnnnnn! Dont throw it away, boarding is not an alternative o!
The cons far outweigh the pros. Even for secondary education, its not advisable. With the way the world is going? Abeg think twice o!

P.S I was in boarding for my secondary education, apart from being extremely independent and perhaps meeting people from various parts of the country from different family backgrounds cannot think of anything else I gained and yes I did miss my parents and siblings so much.
HealthRe: A Day In The Life Of Someone Living With Sickle Cell by Ticklishmummy(f):
OP,I am really dissapointed in you!

Whilst you probably meant this to be some sort of enlightment looks to me like you are scouting for pity. Why? You dont need it dear.

If you dont know, look into the society and you will realise that people with disabilites are blessed. Should I start mentioning names from past till present? By the way, you sound like you are limiting yourself, because you have got sickle cell. Too bad.I dont want to berate you too much but my dear, You are a warrior. You are an overcomer, make no mistake about that.

God has a reason for everything, if people have kicked the bucket as a result of this illness it can ONLY be because God has willed it to be so and because it has been predestined. If I were you,I will tell God to make beauty out of my ashes.

You dont need to do all, this to yourself. All these stories abound on the web, negativity everywhere, but on the very same web where all the painful stories abound you also read of people who are WARRIORS,I mean SICKLE CELL WARRIORS. Who have carved a niche for themselves and are living the best of life. As a matter of fact now, there's loads of people with the disorder who look even better than those with a supposed healthy lifestyle and until they open their mouths to tell you,you will never know!

Do you want to to live your life seeing the glass half full or half empty? Never, you wear sickle cell as some sort of invisible badge cos you are unconsciously limiting yourself. Have a look in the mirror again my dear, you are a special breed, start tapping into that mentality. Yes,sickle cell is real and well all that comes with it, but guess what, the choice is up to you whether you want people to identify you with that or with your ACHIEVEMENTS!

If you are a christian, use your medication like you should and ask God to keep you hale and hearty and if you are also a muslim same applies.Dont start dwelling in self pity, trust me you have got a great life ahead of you,if you live a healthy life-style,avoid the triggers and commit your ways to God. You will get married to a man who will love you and cherish you,you will have great kids and yes I say this to you cos I have seen it happen and you will not be an exception.

The life expectancy of people living with sickle cell is now high, gone were the days of low life expectancy.

I live in the UK and am not ashamed to say I support every sickle cell cause because the African mentality is poor when it comes to this issue. Its almost like the stone age applies when it comes to sickle cell. The western world is working so much to discover a cure. Dont be decieved, its not like its a difficult or impossible task, its just cos its a black scourge and what are the blacks themselves doing about it? Next to nothing?! Take a cue from this,HIV,AIDS became a global scourge,it was looked into asap! so why not Sickle cell Anaemia that has been in existence for donkey years.

Time for everyone, to get involved, I always feel sorry for people who say ''oh am AA,cannot be bothered''
Do you honestly know what might happen tomorrow, what if any of your sibling gets stuck in a relationship that produces a SS child, would you act indifferent or concerned?

Time for every black person to get involved, there is indeed a cure for sickle cell, lets all support the cause, form pressure groups, people here, write to their MPs to support various causes from sensible ones to purely stupid ones, well back home we can write to the government, contact the 'contactables',press all the buttons pressables. It begins with us all.

My dear, you dont need pity stories please raise your head up high,be proud of whom you are
and for everyone else,we can only strive to love everyone as ourselves by supporting in every little way we can.

Its good to read people's varied opinions but like a yoruba adage says "eni tii o tii ku o ti m0 iku tii o ma pa" translating to "no can say exacty how he/she will pass on when that time comes.
I won't even bore the OP with stories but let me tell you one thing, whilst there are people like you who will openly ask for advice, there are also tons of people who decide to forge ahead with their relationships, get married and take whatever comes with it.Life is all about choices.Am sure if the guy insisted you both forge ahead irrespective of whatever you will not put this here and that is why I will NEVER pass judgement on parents with sickle cell children because I am not in the best position to do so.They made a choice.Just so you know sickle cell is one of the many gene disorders and major illnesses that abounds in the world. You need to come to UK to know what am talking about.Children and adults with full time carers, who cannot even enjoy the luxury of an independent life.I am in a train now and I'm standing next to an adult like me in a wheel chair, specially designed for her(her head is propped up with some kind of support) and yes her carer is standing next to her.Now don't get me wrong,I'm just trying to let you know that there are worse things in Life and it doesn't mean its the end of the world.Whilst your aim is to make informed decisions that will guide your next relationship please don't forget that it is important to commit your ways to God and he will prosper you in all relationship inclusive.God bless

To answer the question, the answer will be yes,it is still a bra but in this case a source of investment which should be taken to the bank for keeps or Locked in a safe somewhere. It does have the potential of yielding great returns, assuming the value will increase in the sense that it will be seen for what its worth,as an investment and not komu/koste.

If you want to spoil yourself I can understand it when you say you spend 100 quid weekly but if you had to go to tescos to get a meal deal ( which will include sandwich, crisp and a drink) that's less than 3 pounds! you go to an African eatery and get maybe jollof rice/fried rice or maybe even amala and ewedu for 4.50 and then maybe at night you have a Chinese take away which I know you can get for as little as 5 pounds( depending on what you wish to have).I believe that should not amount to 100 quid.
I work at London bridge and I know there are places that people go to for lunch which costs less than 6 pounds,by people,I mean my colleagues and this is not to say they cannot afford a 100 pounds meal at a sitting,I am just trying to buttress the point violent(m) was trying to make.

First of all,I do not feed her all these their oyinbo meals. winkI encourage her to eat our normal african foods, so during meal times she sits on her high chair next to us at the dining table. She also takes cerelac and sma follow on milk for toddlers but that's occasionally. I encourage her to take fruits, which I make into purees/juices myself( no matter how late I am for work)I have been commended by her health visitors for that(they keep saying she looks so nice for her age)I buy stuffs in bulk at the african shop close to where I stay, ( Ades cash and carry) I buy my fruits from some local farmers, then I do the other shopping stuffs at Sainsburys, and yes it does include detergents but not deodorants,perfumes,make-up and clothes smiley

Ola one: Foreign students spend more than that, bro.
Did you just say 5 pounds a week on fruits? Just 8 Pink Lady apples will set you back 5 pounds at Asda. And, it costs about 6.50 pounds at Sainsbury's.Did you know that?

This is not true at all. 12 pounds a day is 84 pounds/week, bro. And that's just one meal per day.
Spending 100 quid a week could pass for excessive.Citing the scenario of applying for a student visa as an example,I believe there is an amount they expect you to have in your account for maintenance,if you do the maths,I do not believe it would amount to 100 quid per day for feeding.
Even if you had to eat in the African restaurants like tastys or Tommy's kitchen, I know they have meals for as cheap as 4.00.A large meal in MacDonald goes for 4.39-5.00 pounds so how would it possibly amount to 100 quid a week?
Now I am just citing these specific examples just so you know,I know what am talking about.
Did you just say 5 pounds a week on fruits? Just 8 Pink Lady apples will set you back 5 pounds at Asda. And, it costs about 6.50 pounds at Sainsbury's.Did you know that?

Hmm...I never knew this!!!
TBH, this could pass for an exaggeration,I do my monthly family shopping at Sainsbury's and I have not come across apples of whichever type that sells for 6.50 at sainsburys and I hav to say that if as a student someone spends 100 pounds a week on food then it should be an issue of concern to such person. As a family person(hubby,15 months old daughter and 1) Our total MONTHLY shopping amounts to a maximum of 230 pounds and believe me we eat alot.I know that if you buy a bag of either olu-olu poundo yam,(or whatever brand you choose)elubo, garri etc there's no way you are finishing those in a week!!
The key to living comfortably in London/UK is budgeting.
If you live in London, the only thing I know will probably put a strain in your pocket is accomodation.Food is relatively cheap, travel is subsidized for students( it is cost saving to buy monthly/weekly travel or bus card on the student oyster cards)

I was once a postgrad student so I know what am talking about here-you shouldnt be spending 100 quid a week on food.
RomanceRe: I Am A Single Mum. Can I Still Find True Love? by Ticklishmummy(f): 12:33pm On Apr 07, 2012
PrettyCindy: @ ACIDTALK, absolutely NO i didn‘t force him ooo. I know d implications of doing that and besides i c no reason y a woman would force a man to marry her because it always backfires at the end. It was his whole idea that is y i was stunned when he suddenly declared divorce as option when he gets tired.

When i took in for him, he refused to give me money for ante-natal or register me with his office NHIS. When i askd y, he said he doesnt want anythin to do with my child, he left d house, moved into a new place with a girl he was dating in the next compound &never contactd me all thru my preg. God was really faithful and kind to me during this period.
Anyway he has not seen my baby till date.when i called him last month to discuss child support with him, he clearly said he won‘t support but if he must, he will take permission from his eldest brother (his family pushes him around). I cant depend on him or wait for him oooo, i will take care of my son.

Someone said i should lower my expectations: well when we got married (only brideprice,no ceremony)he was earning #25000 while i was earning #50000. I believe in people progressing and couples growing together.

Next time i will aim a little higher because i was taken for a ride.
I know what it feels like my sister, trust me when I say so cos I am speaking from personal experience.First I want you to try as much as possible not to see things from a tribal perspective,am a yoruba woman and I want you to know it is the same everywhere (men will always be men and am sure a man will say women will always be women,if this happened to him too )but whatever has happened sure has happened.Even if you had half a dozen kids, you would still find love, cos at the end of it all whatever is meant to be will SURELY be.
But one thing is this-do not lower your expectations,do not think of compromising because you think you have had a kid and so it would be more difficult to find love again.

All you need to do is take your time, take care of your child and do not STOP looking good. All the best
