We make them rich and famous with our hard-earned money, then they flaunt their wealth ( our collective money ) in our faces and dazzle us with their expensive, Jewellery, holidays, mansions and relationships.

Yet, I am yet to see how they add value to the progress of Nigeria as a nation.

Let us start with music. In the old days’ music had real meaning and purpose - to bring about change and societal transformation, fight for justice and fairness, example Fela. Today the music is about nude women, Gucci and Bentley. This music is absorbed into the minds of our youth who then want to be like these celebrities and will do anything to achieve their misguided objectives. Worse still, our women think that baby mama hood is something to attain to or be proud of, you know what I mean, popping babies out for different men and aborting the rest. This is a terrible trend which really bothers me. In my opinion, most of celebrities are not adding value, they are corrupting and destroying the moral fabric of society.

Secondly, the television programmes and Nollywood especially. Let us start with big brother, a programme designed by decadent minds to encourage wantonness, lasciviousness and out of control perverted behaviour. What value do some of these programmes add to the progress of Nigeria as a country, rather than reveal the rot that has emanated from the country as a whole. Nollywood was once a respectful industry, turning out low to medium budget home movies, which were pregnant with meaning and messages for the education and guidance of society into good character and healthy attitudes. Today , Nollywood movies are not very far from soft porn movies in content.

And to think that our youth absorb the music and movies and start to copy the fashion and trends is truly truly scary. Most celebrities are contributing to the downward trends in society , corrupting the youth and leading them into vanity and destructive habits.

My conclusion is that there are some celebrities who add value to Nigeria as a nation and its progress such as Daddy Freeze , Kemi Olunloyo etc, but the majority are a bad example and terrible role model for the rest of us and especially our youth.

If you want to be happy, contended, and live a life of peace, avoid the perils that are caused by the examples of the so-called celebrity culture which is toxic, perverse and healthy.

That God did not die is true.

But Jesus did die , was raised up from the dead by GOD and is seated at the right hand of almighty God.

All other prophets are DEAD and buried, waiting for the loud call of the arch angel for a final resurrection and judgement.
