this is sooo true! we all shout racism, but in Nigeria, even tribes in the same state call each other names and do all sorts. yet, we wanna be treated equally soon as we step out. and this isnt unique to Nigeria, all over the world where there are different tribes in the same geographical area, there's tribalism. different name (tribalism, racism), same effect!

Purchase very fresh corn from d market and blend mildly. If u prefer it smooth then smooth. Mix salt, seasoning(knorr), palm oil, crayfish, onion, garlic(optional). Then wrap with d moi-moi leaf. Add fish or shrimp or very soft meat. Heat for about 30mins and fry eggs with tomatoes, onion, salt a touch of seasoning. I promise u a local treat and a blast into d past.

are you sure that's not Ekusu you've described? Ekoka is the fried one na . . . or am i confusing the two?

sleekman: There're a couple of local varieties you'll surely like. Mind u most of this combinations are subject to the season.
1. Corn moi-moi commonly called Equoka and fried egg interlaced with tomato, onion, scent leaf(coriander) and sardine fish.
2. Boiled yam/plantain/potato/sweet potato with egg plant sauce(garden egg)
3. Moi-moi and akamua(pap)
4. Akara and Akamu (wash beans and store in d freezer. This makes it much easier.
5.Fresh or toast Bread and various varieties of egg
-Omelette
-Squashed egg using regular milk or sweetened milk
-Squashed egg using sardine
-Boiled egg or half boiled egg
-Open boiled egg (this requires more skill)

Ib: Adding to what Missy B said, you can take things a bit further by setting your dad up so that you can have concrete evidence to confront him with. I really dont know how you are going to do this, only you knows the layout of your house and the times and room he attacks this little innocent girl in. Its important you confront him to save this poor girl from abuse and to protect other children that he might molest in the future.

Please do the right thing for this little girl. Like someone rightly said, you've been abused before so you know what it feels like.

men, i dnt really knw hw it will help to set him up o. i feel it will unnecessarily expose the little girl to the trauma of molestation if its true, and then make ur dad disappointed in you if its a lie. he'll feel betrayed that u even thot it was true. there's no need for this (in my opinion o). i feel the best you can do, like so many people have said here, is to confront your dad about it and try to find a way to keep the girl away. . . and I really dnt knw hw you can prove that its true. how old is the girl? how sexually aware do u think she is? is it possible she made it up? and then, as for your dad, how easy do you think it'll be for you to confront him about it? it seems like the best thing to do, but I know how difficult it is

babeface3: God will surely have mercy on Nigeria. I had always wondered why people in that part of the world are always at the receiving end of everything. Here in Europe, during the winter, I was always marvelled whenever they make good weather a prayer point in their churches. The toughest of the winters cannever be compared to what we have over there in the name of weather. I remember my days in Lagos when I could not sleep for several days because of heat, whatever the winter here you just need to cover yourself with any cheap winter wear or blanket and have a very sound sleep. Lets leave electricity for now. I have never seen any rodent or those nasty insects in my low level room where I live as a student, yet the cutest and most hygienic houses in Nigeria have all these disease infesting insects, not to mention the worst of all, mosquitoes. I can stay outside my hostel without any mosquito bite, now that its spring. When I asked my Nigerian friend here in the campus why these rodents and insects like house flies are not here, he just sarcastically said 'why would they be here, Nigeria is their home". I was rushing to kill a rare specie of mosquito I saw one day in my room and my European room mate started laughing,.. "ur gonna get malaria" I intoned, 'no no, there is no maalaariaa here, that insect doesnt give maalaaria, it doesnt bite, he quipped. What have we done in that part of the world with politicians carting this money away in billions? Yet we see all sort of big cars and other luxuries among the people everyday.
